I've had these Imperials for the last 40 years or so. At present I have 5 pair. Two for dress, black and cordovan, One for everyday and two pair pebble black for work. They are very durable and last 5-7 years with care and an occasional resoleing. While they look heavy they are not. I'm on my feet all day and they provide an extremely stable platform and comfortable. My son prefers casual slip ons for daily use but for going out or dress up he also uses only Florsheim Imperials

I bought these for my husband. I've always told him a great pair of shoes makes all the difference in the world. These shoes give great support and are a classic style at the same time. He loves the leather sole and heel, Instead of those one piece Items that some shoes have. I am sure we will be buying this styling in another color in the very near future.

Professional son wears to the office. Enjoys the the quality and comfort. Great support as well as style.

I have worn Florsheim Imperial wing-tips for years as my every-day, all-day shoe for the profession I am in. I need a solid, stable, strong-support shoe for my feet (total flat foot with prescription orthotics in the shoes), and the Imperials do what I need. I am more comfortable in these than in casual or sport shoes.

I bought my first pair 54 years ago,the upper leathers are now disintegrating the soles show no signs of wear the new shoes also came each in its own velvet bag just like my original shoes they also fit just as well as my old shoes. I am little disappointed as to the color the new shoes are much darker shade of burgundy than my original shoes, Also the price of the original shoes was around one third of the price of these shoes sure hope they last me as long as the old ones did!

if u want a shoe that is comfortable and will last forever ,this is the shoe. I have had about 8 pairs. I am a pharmacist , and stand on my feet all day long. my feet hurt all the time. then my boss told me about the imperial . the leather sole with the double construction solved my problem. these last a great time and hold there look . polish here , new heels , you are in good shape. plz florsheim never stop making these. if u need good shoe for a little heavy price, but u get your money worth ,these are the shoes.these shoes will save your feet..

For office and casual. I have been buying The Kenmoor Classic Wing Tip for 32 years now, and they will endure. I wish that Florsheim continued the "service" of "reconditioning" the shoes by mail!

I have owned Kenmmors since I started working in the 70's.

I have been wearning Florsheim Imperial Kenmore wingtips since I began working in 1975. I believe this is my 6th or 7th pair. The shoes look good for business purposes and are very durable, both internally and externally. Getting a new pair is like finding a new friend just like my old friends.

Shoes were ordered during a sale period. Order was easy to place and the shoes arrived in about 2 days so there was hardly any wait whatsoever. A very high quality shoe that I wear for business. Classic look and the sole is thick as I am hard on shores so they last a long time!

I have been a loyal customer of Florsheim for more than 30 years. I currently have 3 pairs of Florsheim wingtips (brown, black and cordovan). They are the most durable, comfortable and practical shoe I have ever worn. Proper care of the uppers and these shoes can easily last 10 years. If Florsheim were ever to stop making this quality shoe, I would no longer be a customer. The pair of wingtips I just purchased are indistinguishable from the pair I have owned for ten years.

Great pair of sturdy fashionable shoes.

Florsheim Imperial, the classic long wing tip, is the epitome of American shoe design. Unfortunately, it is no longer made here. I thought there will be a substantial drop in the quality now that it is made in India. My friend has same Kenmoor shoes from the late 1980s, and surprisingly, I did not see much difference (but not the same) in the quality. Of course, now that they cut the leather using computer design, it shouldn't matter where they make it as long as the quality of the leather is good. So I'm glad this was not made using some cheap leather in China. I like the "shoe design last," not pointy and rounded perfectly, of course never a square-toed. It may take a while for some to break-in but it does not hurt. It does take time to adjust your walking while you wear them as they are heavy, built like M1AI Tanks. Over time, the leather will become supple. Always use a shoe tree, clean & polish periodically and store them in the shoe bag that comes with the shoe. With proper care, these will last 15-20 years. I wish that Florsheim made these in Shell Cordovan as they used to 25 years ago.

As a long time Allen Edmonds customer I was in the market for a new pair of black longwings but not too excited about the prospect of dropping nearly four bills. After some comparative shopping and reading the many positive reviews of the Kenmoor's, I decided to take the Internet plunge without trying these shoes on first as I could not find a pair locally. At half the AE price I figured it was worth the risk. The ground shipping was fast so I was anxious to slip on my prize once they arrived. Ouch. The arch support pressed high and they were about as forgiving as a pair of 2x4's strapped to my feet. I thought I had made a mistake in purchasing these shoes sight unseen but I persevered. The first morning wearing them to the office was an endurance test, my will against the shoes, but each day they got a bit more comfortable as they slowly began to conform to my feet. The break in period can take a week or two but they are beginning to feel like old friends. The gunboat look of the shoes fits me to a T, conservative yet stylish. Construction is solid. If they hold up like my AE's (which have worn like tanks over the past 10 years and are still going strong) then Florsheim gets all my dress shoe business. I did swap out the cheap cotton laces for a nice waxed pair. It also would be nice to have a shoe horn included in the box but for the $$ I saved over the AE's I can't quibble too much. Lastly, Florsheim's customer service is excellent. I had a few questions for them during the break in period and they were willing to go the extra mile. So far I'm very pleased.
