Uncomfortable - You need to wear thick socks when wearing these shoes. I know Dr. Martens pride themselves on their Air sole's, however they should be reviewed in this shoe. I have only worn them a few times, and don’t plan on wearing them again. By no means am I trying to talk bad about Dr. Martin's or Zappos.com. I have purchased many items from both companies and have never been dissatisfied.

Not what I expected- I have 2 other pairs of Docs but I hated these. I felt like I had blocks on my feet. I wore them to work but went home on dinner break and changed shoes. They were awful! Sent back and got another pair of 8287 series... aahhh much better!

Nice Looking, Lacks in Comfort - The shoe is not very comfortable. It remains very stiff after several weeks of use. The crease where the shoe bends when you walk is very uncomfortable as it presses into the top of your foot.

OK, but... These shoe's are fairly uncomfortable with marginal arch support and I'll have to buy some expensive insoles to make these wearable. They look OK, but are kind of plain and lack the pizzazz I was hoping for. Overall, they are alright but I guess I was hoping for something a bit better for money.

I have been wearing Dr. Martens for years and recently purchased a pair of these to replace a worn out pair I had been wearing to the office. Unfortunately since DM was bought out in 2003 and the manufacturing moved to Thailand/China, the quality has gone downhill considerably. The inner lining came out within a month of wearing them. Also the air soles began to squeak annoyingly after a couple of months and the yellow threading started to come out after about two months. If you must buy DMs, go with the vintage line, they are actually made in the UK and the quality and workmanship are on par with what it used to be.

These are my first pair of Docs, they look great and are good for walking. They start to get a little uncomfortable when standing around for a while. Overall, I am very pleased with the shoes. Zappos was very quick with delivery, customer service is excellent! I will definately do business with them again!

I love Dr. Maten's! But this time they disappointed me. I always order a size 8 US (6UK) shoe and they fit nice, but this time I ordered this particular shoe for Christmas and the size feels like a size bigger. So disappointing on Christmas day!
