I tried on a men's 9 in the store and it was a little snug, so I ordered a 9½. The 9½ seems to be about half a size too large. There is no arch support, but it's roomy enough that you can insert your favorite orthotic in yourself, which is the only way I can wear these all day. I bought these to wear to sports events as our school colors are red, white, and black.

These shoes look great but are very uncomfortable without added arch support. Like in many of my shoes, putting in a pair of Dr. Scholl's Tri-Comfort Orthotic Insoles (about $7 at Target) that made the shoes super super comfy to wear. I like them now.

The All American Shoe! Converse All Stars are a great stylish shoe, I just purchased another pair this time I got the lo tops. Overall a good shoe, but as I have gotten older and developed plantar fasciitis, I can only wear these for a few hours a day. But I have owned Chucks since I was young and will continue to buy them for they never go out of style!

These sneakers ran a full size larger than marked for me. Though little arch support, they are still comfy and I can wear them without socks for the summertime.

These shoes look great for casual wear, and do well as long as you\'re not on your feet all day. I work in a grocery store and dont get a chance to sit down, and i wore these shoes one day, and was very dissapointed at how bad my feet hurt at the end of the day... so if you buy them, dont wear them to work! but i love them, i wear them on a regular basis and they dont really show wear or dirt.

My sons love their Chuck Taylors. They wear them till they are falling apart. They are comfy, sturdy, breathable, and suitable for many teenage occasions!

As in all the Converse sneakers, these were perfect. Relatively comfortable to walk in (tho minimal arch support). Looks great, this color goes with anything.

The other reviewers got it right. I usually wear an 8.5, but ordered a 7.5. Perfect fit. I also bought arch supports as soon as the shoes came in, as the insoles are flat as pancakes. Get some kind of padding and\\\/or arch supports in there - your feet will thank you.

I normally wear a 6.5 so I ordered the man's sizing 4.5. These sneakers fill well, but they need a few wearing of break-in time with socks to feel comfortable. I'm able to do errands in them but I wouldn't walk for hours. They're fun and a throwback to my grammar school days when this type of sneaker was what we wore for gym class. For the price, they're a good bargain and look neat with shorts, pants, and even a sporty skirt.

I love these shoes! I can wear them to work, for play, and to go out on the town. They have that classy retro look that makes them perfect for just about every occasion.

They go with everything...jeans, shorts, skirts you name it. I wore out my previous pair and happily replaced them. If you are just wearing them out and about and not doing any serious walking they will do just fine. They are not a comfort shoe by nature, more fun. There is a lot of room in the toe area, so as not to crowd.

I have been wearing these sneakers for 30 years. they look the same and fit like they always have, but they don't last as long.

I normally wear a 12, but I had to go down to an 11 with these. If you haven't worn Chucks before you'll find that they are all about the style. Don't expect arch support or cushioning. Just pick your favorite color :)

Good Shoes - Got these to do martial arts. I want a flat simple shoe. This fits the bill though it is a little narrow. Possibly my wide duck feet. I wouldn't play basketball or go running in these, but they are very good for what I want. Wish they were a little wider.

Classic, Stylish Shoe - These shoes are the classic look for any style you wear, and they match with everything. Most people know they have no arch support, so they aren't good for, say, walking around New York City for 3 days...but otherwise they are great. Comfortable for casual wear and some distance walking. Fit to your feet well. Sweet look.

My old school Chucks - Overall I've always liked these shoes for many years. I especially liked back in the day when they were like $20 instead of $45. It's a great shoe. The only thing I'm not fond of is there really isn't any arch support. This can become a problem. So I guess the only fix unfortunately is to buy arch supports to throw in there. Another thing I've never understood was the sizing. They're like one size smaller than your true size.

Pink Converse All Star's - My youngest daughter's old Converse All Stars had become too small, she told me in the afternoon that she would like, if possible, to replace with new, bigger pink ones. I went online and ordered a size up and received them a day later. While the fit is a tiny bit narrow, she will stretch them out with wear and love, loves them. They have that terrific vintage look with the freshness of the bright pink color. A winner!

A bit long - These shoes are very comfortable even though there is no arch support. The only flaw I had with these shoes is they made my feet look incredibly long. Overall, they are very comfortable shoes. Enjoy!

Cool shoes - Really cool to look at and fun to wear. Cushioning and arch support are nonexistent so don’t expect a soft walk.

Teenage Son's Shoes - My son said he loved his new shoes and only experienced a little discomfort at first.

Converse sneakers - These are great, fun sneakers. They add kick to any outfit, but they shouldn't be worn for walking long distances as they don't really offer much support. Plus I have wide feet so I don't tie them too tight or they hurt. Love the various colors and the price point is just right.

I have been wanting these - I decided I wanted a pink pair of Converse All-Stars some time ago. I finally decided I needed them when my old blue pair began to have even less support in the soles. Zappos is always fabulous about shipping and returns so I was very happy to find what I wanted here. The shoes must be made by a new manufacturer, though. They warn these run big so I got one half size smaller than the ones I already have and have had for years. The shoes were still way too big. I love the shoes and am happy I could get the right size so easily.
