WHAT I CONSIDER TO BE THE BEST SHOES EVER MADE!
I absolutely adore Converse Lo Tops! They are very comfortable and versatile. (I have them in almost every color) The only problem with them is that they have no arch support, so if you have high arches you may need arch supports.

The chucks are nice. I got them for my dad because that's what his generation used to wear for basketball games. I don't think it would be very comfortable playing hoops in, but they're good lookin.

The shoes were a gift for my boyfriend so he knows that the shoes run a half size larger. but zappos also lets you know to buy them a half size smaller than what you would normally wear. Zappos is the best. he loves them. They even sent my shoes quicker with no charge so that I would get them in time for Christmas. That really surprised me. No other website would do that for you. Picked up a pair of the solid black Cons. Love this shoe. It looks great.
Feels good unless I walk for a long time. Then I wish it had some arch support, or heel padding (blisters).
Note: Listen to the suggestions about ordering a size smaller. I have been wearing 10.5" Pumas for over a decade and I took the plunge and ordered a 10" size...fits perfect. A 10.5" would have been too big.

I think these shoes are DA BOM!!! Only thing is that they're not meant to run in and are flat you can feel the ground through them and are not meant 2 wear if you're gonna walk all over like you're in New york! But overall they're the BOM!!

I hate sneakers but love these shoes!
I don't normally wear sneakers but for some reason, I love anything Converse. I have several pairs of Chucks but wanted slip ons and ordered these. Zappos definitely has them the cheapest of all the places I looked online. I love the lacing, it really elongates the appearance of the foot. I have a wider foot and these were a little big, but still comfortable and definitely wearable.

A sneaker for all seasons and all reasons -
I've worn Chucks for decades, ever since I was a kid (I'm 53 now). They're the only sneaker I care to wear. In fact, lately they're the only footwear of any type that I wear (ok, I do have a couple of pairs of Jack Purcells). No, I'm not a slacker or an aging surfer - I'm otherwise pretty much a responsible professional person (a physician by training) who often dresses in a suit and attends formal affairs. On those occasions, I just slip on my black monochrome Chucks (I refer to them as my "Chuck formalwear") - which go great with formal attire -and spend the evening in comfort while everyone else is suffering in their stiff wingtips. I just wore my monochromes to a wedding this past weekend. I wear them to funerals too ... they express just the right sense of tasteful dignity that such proceedings require.
On less weighty occasions I wear less formal Chucks of different colors, depending on the situation and my mood at the time.
Oh, and you can't beat the price either. Why would anyone pay $200 for the latest flash in the pan sneak which will be uncool next season, when for 30 bucks or so you can buy a timeless classic that will never go out of style?

Look great, feel awful.
These look awesome, who can deny such a classic look? As for comfort here is my opinion -- I have flat feet and these have no arch support, so that works perfectly for me. On the other side of the spectrum are blisters. After 2 hours of wearing them I have blisters on my right big toe and my left baby toe. I'm still going to keep them, but they're not going to be my walking shoes, just my wanna-look-good shoes.
