Slippery when wet! Warning- the new Converse has a different (stiffer) type of rubber material in the center under the arch. I have worn Converse for years, so was not prepared for the extra slipperiness and fell on some stairs. If you have never owned Converse, this wont make a difference, but if are used to some grip under the arch be careful going downstairs in wet shoes!

Vain - I love this shoes I had them when I was in school and never took them off, unfortunately this shoes are only for show, not good for walking and they do run a little big so if you have skinny feet like mine make sure to order a half size smaller , however I like enough not to return them.

These shoes are stylish, of course, and look sporty and trendy, but they are very stiff and take a lot of wear to soften them out, and aren't that comfortable.

I don't like the sneakers at all, bought them for my daughter. She had high tops and I didn't want her to wear those with shorts all summer.

so far so good... since Chucks stopped being American-made I have noticed they don't last as long; so far these are holding up better than my other recent pairs though...

size problem - The first shoe that was sent to me looked worn.. I called your customer service phone number and was helped immediately (it probably was the best customer service call I've ever made). I was sent a new pair of sneakers but even though I wear a 15 in everything, these 15's didn't fit.

Converse All Star - Haven't had this shoe since high school. Still love the look but the comfort is lacking - no arch support. Nevertheless a good summer kickin' back shoe.

I always buy these shoes because they are really awesome, but they are very poorly made. They fall apart really easily, especially if you wear them every day. They also have no arch support whatsoever. So if you plan on getting them, you might want to have several other pairs of shoes.

The newest additions to my shoe addiction - I recently purchased the converse high-low tops of which I LVoE!!.. They are probably the cutest new/old retro style shoe out there. They are so comfy and they never will go out of style! They did however seem a little larger than they were marked but... Oh well... I think I can handle it!

So these are cute shoes but remember they are just canvas and rubber. So while the soles are rubber, there is not a lot of other cushioning there, which may be fine depending on your needs. Also know that since they are canvas, they are not fitted and not supportive, and they are sort of "loose" since it's literally just canvas over your feet. That may work just fine for some, and they are cute, but I found that I didn't like the canvas and prefer more support around and over the foot, and the rubber sole felt sort of inflexible and hard to me.

Shoe was poor quality. Rubber sides began detaching from canvas after 2 weeks and canvas tore after 1 month. Style and comfort were good, however. Zappos recommendation on sizing was accurate.

I am a true woman's size 5 and ordered these in that size, they were at least a full size too large. I've now ordered a Youth 2 to see if that fits (I've also tried this shoe in the Youth 3.5 and 3 and neither fit). They are really cute but way off the mark as far as the sizing being true. Hopefully the size 2 Youth will fit. If not I'll try the 2.5 Youth. It's just very frustrating that the sizing is so skewed but I'll keep trying until I find their size that fits.

I bought these in black monochrome. I have been wearing this style for years, this is the first time I have been disappointed. The sidewall trim started to separate from the shoe after only a few weeks of wear. This has never happened in the past. Sad to see the quality of this brand going downhill. (This has nothing to do with the service from Zappos which was amazing as usual.)

With-in one month, the side rubber cracked, and the soles started to shred. I remember Chuck Taylors lasting much longer.

These shoes are good, but if your looking to bounce up and down and to an aerobics routine for about 7 min, they are horrible. They break easily every time you bounce.

What can I say, classic, timeless...and uncomfortable! These shoes definitely have style (yeah, they're lightweight too), but that's it! No arch support at all, canvas upper cannot repel the elements, relatively pricey for such a low tech shoe, feels kind of un-balanced (weight shifted to the heel instead of being evenly distributed), traction. Well, it's just a hair better than the Puma suedes. If the "look" is most important to you, then go ahead and buy a pair, otherwise look elsewhere for well-engineered footwear.

I wanted to like these, but they were just not comfortable on my feet. The left one was 1/2 size too big and the right one 1/2 size too small; the inner fabric was uncomfortably coarse; and the tongues didn't lay flat over the tops of my feet.

I was leery about going down a half size (size 7 to 6 1/2) but the shoe size felt maybe a wee bit smaller than I'd like but I know a 7 would be too big. The problem with the shoes is they dig into my big toes. Right under where the last (bottom) lace hole is located, there's an overlapping of canvas that digs into my toes. I'm returning them, even though I really like them. I know I couldn't wear them for any length of time. Major fail on these shoes. I'm an average size 7 and never have problems with any other style of shoes.

I love Chucks. Been wearing them for almost 40 years and sadly, this is the first time I get crappy set. Not blaming Zappos at all. They rock. It was just the manufacturing that sucked. The left shoe is ok, but the right one must've been made with some other kind of different glue and didn't make itself apparent until my body heat over a few days warmed it up and made it stink like the inside of a paint huffer's baggie. Thought maybe I stepped in something, but nope. It's the whole shoe that stinks. Seeing that I had worn it for a week or so already, I went ahead and washed the pair in delicate/cold and let them air-dry. Nope. Still stunk. Plus, the soles are already coming unhinged from the shoe. Blah. What a bummer to be dealt a sad pair of Chucks.

I grew up wearing Chucks, and I have loved wearing them for many years. As soon as Nike bought Converse, the quality went down big time. The sole of mine is falling out one month after buying them. I am so disappointed with the direction the shoe went. They also used to be less expensive and were made in the USA. Thanks Nike.

Wow. Just got these in size 11, like all my other shoes and these are huge. I don't get it; I wear 11s in Vans, Nikes, everything. But these say size 11 and have a solid inch of toe room! The fit is either ridiculously large or they mismanufactured my pair. Worst shoes ever.

Changing - I don't like these shoes anymore because of the change made to outsole of the shoe, making it impossible to play basketball anymore. The bottoms have changed. Other than that I think there is nothing wrong with the shoes at all!
