I feel like these run a fall size to one size large. I have a wider foot so I prefer the half size. Also, they give out a bit quickly with time.

Don’t order a half size down. I wear a women’s 8, so I ordered a women’s 7.5 on the advice of Zappos. I ended up with a shoe that was a bit small. Figured they’d stretch a bit, so I keep them. Unfortunately, they didn’t. Will order my true size in the future. Overall, a quality shoe. The white color looks great with navy scrubs and jeans.

I typically wear a women's size 8 which I ordered and was definitely too big. So I then ordered both a 7.5 and a size 7 since I wasn't quite sure what was going to work based on other people's reviews. The 7.5 ended up being the best fit. I think these are super cute shoes but I wish they had arch support. I bought them knowing they didn't (my husband wears Converse), but thought I could perhaps put an insole replacement in with a bit of arch support. Unfortunately the insole is NOT removable, it is glued in. This really surprised and disappointed me, but it's not intolerable to wear the shoes...just not ideal as I do need arch support. I think I'll adjust to them but they won't be my go-to shoe for exercise or walking. They'll just be for kicking around, which is fine by me with a shoe this cute and lightweight!! Thank you Zappos for lightning fast delivery and an easy return process. It makes going through a shoe comparison process like this pretty painless. It was expensive to do what I did, but the returns were posted to my credit card very fast and now I have the right size shoe. Zappos, you rock.

I ordered my usual size but these felt a half size bigger. The quality seems different than the Chucks I had in the 90s but was still good.

A classic with longevity issues. These look great and, if you don't need arch support, are comfy enough to wear around town and work with both shorts and jeans (or a suit and Tardis). I go through a pair or two every year. Sadly, they just don't last that long. The soles wear down pretty quickly (exposing whatever cheap material the inside of the sole's made from). Sure, they're cheap enough that you can replace them without spending a fortune but then you're basically chucking a hunk of canvas and rubber into the nearest landfill...not so good for the environment. If only they lasted longer they'd be an even better shoe.

These lasted a good while, being primarily used to weight lifting, the inner sole only lasted a few months before I had to take them out and rock without them.

Half a size to big but I forgot converse run that way in general. I just wear a thicker sock with them.

Shoes fit pretty well in terms of length and width. There’s this flapping sound whenever I walk. Almost as if the sole is being lifted each time I walk, but other than that the shoes are nice and very stylish.

I usually wear a 7 to a 7.5, and so I got a 7 in these. Maybe a touch big still? But otherwise, I love them. Chucks are classics - stylish and simple. I've been wearing knockoffs for years because of the cost, but these are much better made and more comfortable. The charcoal color is like a dark grey tinged with brown, which means it can fit as a neutral in outfits that use either black or brown as a base. New favorites - will buy again!

The shoes run large. I ordered a half size small. With a full length arch insert (Superfeet or Dr. Scholes) they fit perfectly. Without the arch supports, I would order a full size smaller than the usual size. Use the European size equivalent to US sizes. The Euro sizes are accurate.

These sneakers are very cute and comfortable although not a lot of support. I did have to order a half size down though. Normally I am a size 10 1/2 or 11 and size 10 fit perfect so they really do run large.

Other than the laces being way too long great shoes that fit the same as orb Converse styles.

I go down a half size anyway with sneakers, so I ordered a 6 and a half like I normally do thinking it was like any other sneaker I usually wear. I needed to go down another half size to a six. So, down a half size from whatever size you normally wear. It's my first time trying Converse and everything else was what I expected. Good quality, classic looks and moderate comfort. Returning to get the proper size and then I'll be set.

Contrary to another reviewer, I need arch support, so when I have shoes without I insert an arch support. These shoes are cute and fun to wear. For me they will take some getting used to. I'm in my sixties, good shape, and yet I think I need more cushion in my shoes. I'm keeping these for around town.

Chuck Taylors are always a must have in a person’s wardrobe repertoire. They are classics and go with just about everything casual, even sometimes formal. However, please note that they run a size larger, so definitely go smaller if contemplating these.

Chucks are normally too narrow for me but I like them, so I use a shoe stretcher to stretch them out and then they're perfect!

These sneakers look great, and are a bit narrow for my somewhat wide foot. I listened to the other reviews suggesting that I order 1/2 size smaller than my usual 10.5; size 10 fit me perfectly. Like all Converse All-Stars, they have basically no arch support at all; these are fashion shoes first, and really that’s about all. But they look great and... they’re Chucks.

I’ve got a few pairs of converse because they go so well with jeans and whatever else I'm wearing. They aren’t quite as comfortable as Van’s, but a cheap pair of inserts fixes this. The biggest issue I’ve found is the sizing. The few pairs I own fit well, but sizing is inconsistent, so I read a few reviews here and decided to follow the ‘half size down’ recommendation. Well, a half size definitely isn’t enough, you can easily go a full size down (which I did with another pair that fitted perfectly). The half size down pair I easily fixed with some $1 inserts so not really an issue, more of an annoyance. I think any confusion regarding sizing stems from the US size and UK size being stamped the same on the tongue. There is no planet where US and UK sizing is the same, there is always one size difference because one system starts at size 1 and the other at size 0. Nevertheless, once you work out your size in converse, stick to it, they are a great sneaker, cheap, and look good with anything.

Had to exchange these and still they are a tad bit big but am going to keep. Love the look of these classic sneakers but they definitely ran a full size larger than my normal size 7. I have a 6.5 and could totally fit into a 6. I would recommend sizing down 1 size.
