Love these shoes! But they are too big. I normally wear 8 1/2, but these were way too big. So I'm sending them back for an 8.

Adorable, comfy, and perfect for spring. A nice change from wearing boots all winter. Order down a half-size, they run large.

These are a nice basic Chuck Taylor. They run a half size big - I normally wear 7.5 (even in other Chuck Taylor styles), but the 7 in these were perfect. I have flat feet, and although these don't have great arch support, they provide enough so that my feet don't roll inward. They're very comfortable, although I do find that my feet start to hurt if I try to walk too far in them. The gray color has a bit of brown/green in them - I would have preferred more of a true gray or medium gray color, but couldn't find that, so I decided to keep these and I'm happy with them.

I love Converse shoes and have ordered over dozens of pairs. But I have not found the sizing to be half a size bigger in "some" of the shoes. I ordered the optic white, the classic black and white and a pair of the monochrome black. The optic white fits beautifully comfortable at women's 6. The monochrome and black and white in size women's 6 are very tight. I have tried with socks and without and wore them all summer and unfortunately the discomfort never changed. This month I had to order a women's 6½. These are larger with a lot more room, but do not fit quite as nicely as the optic white size 6 women's. The toe bed area seem to be slightly different from one shoe to another. Perhaps it is just my foot, but the fact that I have purchased Converse for years and certain pairs fit differently make me wonder what is the difference with the optic white and why is it made looser? Oh well I suppose it is a company thing. The larger the size the longer your foot looks in them that is my only dislike but I will continue to order Converse. Does anyone else have a similar issue at all?

These are going to ruin your back! About an hour into wearing these, I get the worst back pain ever (and I don't have any back problems!) They are too shallow for any kind of insoles. I can't believe these have been around this long because I ask everyone and they all complain about the same thing.

I figured I'd try these because they're popular. They were fine at first but the sole started separating and falling off after only two weeks. The shoes I had before these were a similar style and price, but they lasted two years before I wore through the sole. My experience with the Chucks was disappointing, I won't be buying again.

I have worn Chucks for 30 years and now will probably never wear them again. They have changed the design so much since being bought by Nike. There is no cushioning inside. The toe box is more narrow. The fabric seems flimsy. The overall look is cheap. I used to wear my Chucks all day on my feet working as an elementary educator or traveling. I wore these for a few minutes around the house and was in pain immediately. Not for someone who needs room in the toe box or who has any need for arch support. The shoe is too small to add any support. Oddly, the shoe feels long and skinny. Maybe this is fine for someone young or with skinny, healthy feet, but if you need a comfort shoe, your days of wearing Chucks are over. So sad, but I think my long affair with Chucks is over. If you too are looking for a replacement, might I recommend: Vans, Superga (these too may need a little support added, but the shoe has a bit more padding and is roomier). For a cute look with more support, try: Taos, Ecco, and Sofft.

Haven't had a pair of Chucks since I was a kid. Now I remember why I loved them!! I ordered a half size down and they fit perfectly! I'll never be without a pair. And Zappos makes it soooo easy. XOXO!

First and foremost, Zappos ROCKS! This shoe does run a little big. I generally wear a size 14 but I should have ordered it in a 13. It feels a smidge big but not uncomfortably big. The next one I buy will be in a 13. Exceptional customer service tho!

I ordered these for my daughter and they arrived about 16 hours later! Crazy!! Great shoes! Got them in white, so cute! You might want to size down a 1/2 size. My daughter says they're ok with socks though.

Converse is an old friend. I have always liked the color selection. It is a buddy to Pro-Keds. I wore those growing up in Brooklyn, New York. Colors forever! Converse however runs long. Always a half size too long. So if you wear 10 womens Buy 9½ and have fun because you cannot just buy one color

I walk about five miles a day in these shoes. Although they are not the most comfortable, these shoes are comfortable enough to continue wearing. It takes a couple of weeks to break these shoes in. On sizing: I wear size 15 in Nike and size 14 Chuck Taylors fit me nicely. I would recommend ordering a size down.

It's been about 20 years since I've owned a pair of Converse. These are as comfortable as I remember. I love my Chucks! I normally wear an 8 shoe, 8.5 running shoe and ordered a 7.5 in these and they fit great.

These shoes are great. When I first received them, I ordered a size too big. I forgot Chuck Taylors run 1 size bigger than your normal shoe size, even when it says to order a size smaller than your normal shoe size. I normally wear a men's 12 or 13, depending on the maker, so I ordered a 11, thinking it'll be closer to the size of my foot. When I got them: I had about a good three inches between my big toe and the front of the shoe. Wow, those were some huge paddle boats I had for feet. Returning them was a breeze: all I had to do was print out the return address, box them up and sent them on their way. At the same time, I called to exchange for a size smaller than the 11. I'm wearing the 10.5 right now and I forgot how comfy these were. One thing to note: I sometimes wore my original Chuck Taylors barefoot to break them in. I did that one day and my left achilles heel was completely scraped up from the inside due to the material protruding. Needless to say, I had to put moleskin on the inside and that fixed that problem. Other than wearing socks... Overall: definitely a keeper. I plan on getting another pair, possibly in another color.

I'm in LOVVVVE with my converse!! I swear if I can get EVERY color I would!!! I bought the wrong size and when I got ready to return them I was very very pleased with Zappos return/exchange procedures

Chuck Taylor is Chuck Taylor. You pretty much know what you will get. Does look like each time I get a pair it must come from a different factory since the color pattern of the sole is different. Also, I do wish the sole was harder so it would not wear out as fast. And for my large size, the shoelaces are very long and I need to buy shorter shoelaces at WalMart every time.

Slightly larger than expected, but not an entire 1/2 size. Lots of compliments! Love them
