Different colors fit differently!! Finally broke down and got a pair of white Chucks because my black Chucks are 15+ yrs old but the 7.5 in the White Monochrome was too big. So, I ordered two pair in different colors because I like the red stripe too: a 7.0 in the Optical White AND the White Monochrome and they fit differently (see below). I think designs with the silver rivets fit a 1/2 size smaller while the Monochrome (new style??) fit a full size smaller. Very odd but thankfully Zappos has free shipping, so just be patient. With life as it is now, the new norm is not 2 day shipping but that's ok! We're in this together! Anyways, I suggest ordering 2 sizes in the same color or two pair of the same size if you want a perfect fit. Like jeans, they all fit differently. Hope this helps! I wear a size 8.5 Brooks running shoe and usually an 8 in everything else. I have narrow, thin feet too. I may have to get a 7.5 Optical White for the perfect fit... still deciding. The Monochrome are cute but feel a bit too trendy for me.

So I’m having an issue with the fabric on the sole of the shoes wearing off. I thought maybe this was normal since I’ve never owned any converse before ??

I have been wearing Chuck Taylor All Stars for many years, since before they became cool to wear. The only place for me to find them has been on the internet, I recently ordered them from Zappos. The ordering process was simple and the product was delivered more quickly than advertised. I will definitely order from them again.

Was very pleased with the service and delivery from Zappos. I've worn Chucks for years and these are up to the normal quality. Recently, Doctors have stated that Chucks and their lack of arch support actually help the muscles of your feet stay strong to support you as opposed to becoming weak when the shoe does all the work for you.

What more can be said about Chuck Taylors? They are the quintessential classics - timeless, adaptable, and versatile - never out of style or out of place. I've been wearing Converse (mostly Chucks and some Jack Purcells as well) for eons, and I keep coming back for the great style, excellent value, and just generally good vibe they seem to generate! I got the all black version to wear with jeans and darker khakis - they're perfect. Easy to get through security at the airport - added bonus. I think I'll probably be buried in a pair of Chuck Taylors.

Let me just say how amazing Zappos is. I ordered these shoes on Friday, and got them this morning. I was a bit upset because I ordered the shoe in a 6 women (my usual size), but they were a smidge larger than expected. I immediately opted to return them the same day; received labels, set up pick up time with UPS, and called Zappos. It was a pleasure speaking with the Zappos representative. She has already sent a new pair so that I won't have to wait over a week for the return process to be completed, in order to exchange for a smaller size!! I'll definitely make it my business to ensure that the larger size is returned to Zappos safe and sound.

Feel a bit silly reviewing Chucks. They're classic. I always keep a pair or two around and prefer the white to add a touch of 'boom' to an outfit. I wear Chucks almost every day. Worn them on vacation when I walked hours a day. Wear them to the office. Also, I think girls are hot when they wear them. I sound obsessed. I'm not. Just the best shoes ever. Note: These shoes come an entire size larger. That's how they've been since I started wearing the brand 10 years ago. I wear 13 in almost every other shoe. Definitely only a 12 in Chucks. It's simple really. Take your shoes size. Subtract 1 from it. Order that size.

I wore Chuck Taylors long ago when I was a kid. Since I needed new sneakers, I though I'd try them again after all these years. They've got less arch support than modern running shoes, but feel great.

The shoes were great. My son thought they were too big until he wore them; now he likes that size.

The shoes look great, but after less than a month of wear, one of the side rivets has already come out and two more are headed that direction.

Love these shoes - retro, funky, cute! And I love Zappos! Selection and service absolutely cannot be beat. One thing to note: I have a pair of Converse hi-tops that I had to exchange for 1/2 size down from my usual size 8. I'm glad I ordered my usual size 8 in this style, as it fits true to size.

Great shoes, true to size and in half sizes too! No arch support and they never dip in price, but these are a classic.

Comfortable shoes and I love the color - neutral but different to black and white. I am normally a women’s size 7 in running showy and the women’s size 6 is perfect in these.

What can I say about my Chucks other than they're just the gold standard of cool and comfortable? Same lovely shoes. I was also able to take the inserts out to put in my own for a little more arch support (I've had plantar fasciitis before and do that in almost every shoe). Love these.

I normally wear an 8.5 in shoes and a 9 in sneakers and the size 8 in these converse fit me perfectly with a good amount of room for my toes.
