First experience at Zappos--wow! I ordered these--my first Chucks--at 7pm yesterday and did the free shipping. They were on my doorstep today when I got home from work. Amazing and a wonderful surprise! So far, so good. They need some breaking in and the shoelaces feel a bit short, but they look good. If you order a pair and are a guy, be sure to follow Zappos suggestion--1/2 or 1 size down from what you'd order normally.

Converse - Great shoes! They feel a little narrow but no big deal.

Classic Attention getters - I like the look of this shoe and so does everyone who sees them. (The monochrome black). They attract attention. I have flat wide feet so I got a half size larger than usual and put an insert in the sole. Now they're great looking and comfortable.

recieved converse sooner then - my son has had several pair of the all-black converse hi-top all stars, so he must like them a lot. The price was a little more than in the past at local stores, but shipping was free and they were delivered in about 2 days. Overall, very happy with the transaction.

Pleased - I love this shoe for it's retro appeal and simplicity. I have wide feet, so the rigid toe area is always a little uncomfortable for me, but I know that going in. Eventually, these always become as comfortable as just wearing socks.

FUN SHOES TOO - I bought these because I've 'always' wanted a pair of high-top sneakers (what we used to call "gym shoes"). I've bought 4 pair in different colors: neon pink, pink, green, red. I must say, they don't have any padding on the uppers; it's just cloth, so some sort of sock is required for comfort. Otherwise, they're just too scratchy (for lack of a better word). But I get a kick out of wearing them, and I've gotten several compliments on them from people who've seen me in them. Who would have thought silly shoes could be so much fun?! (PS--I'm a woman, almost 53 yrs old. 'Fun' gets redefined as you get older!)

Awesome - These shoes are awesome! Bottom line- great. I ordered them on a Friday and got them on Monday. Most styles might be cheaper at the mall, though. They wear out fast if you actually skateboard, though.

I love my Chucks! They are the perfect shoe if you're going to rock the casbah. Because they have NO arch support they might make your feet hurt after standing or walking a while.

basic ol tennie - Hard to believe such a basic shoe could be so comfortable and so expensive. 40 bucks for this shoe is high. It's not like they have to pay for engineering or design. I had them as a kid because they were cheap, now I have them because I had them as a kid. Novelty I guess.

A great classic shoe - Not the most comfortable shoe, but a great classic look. Definitely buy a size larger, especially so you can put inserts inside...without them it's like you're walking on concrete.

Converse All Star® Core HI - I have the yellow ones and they are kinda cute. They are a bit difficult to do the inverted jete in but other wise they are nice for the rest of the dance.

Sneakers - It's a great come back of an shoe

The Chuck Taylor Classic. I've been wearing them since the late 60's. This particular pair is narrower in the toe than other CTAS I've had. If you have issues with the zero arch support I can recommend SuperFeet brand insoles for causual shoes.

Comfortable, cool shoes for the price! Great colors makes it hard to choose, that is why I have more than one pair!!

In addition to being a symbol of various subcultures, chucks are just plain comfy. These have been my favorite shoe for comfort and fit for over a decade.

Converse All-Star Hi Top - I wasn't that satisfied with my converse all stars. Zappos is the place you want to get them though. They are not that great realy. They get worn down realy fast also. If I were you I would get a different shoe off Zappos, they have wonderful service.

Converse All Stars. Decided to buy a couple of pairs of these after seeing the IRobot flick. Will Smith makes these shoes just too cool. After years of wearing high-zoot synthentic shoes, these are a welcome relief. Canvas tops keep things cool, and these shoes are light. They are a good value as well. You also get lots of comments, just because they are now 'different'.. Recommend a pair just for kick arounds if nothing else. The only downside is they have little arch support. You can always get some inserts for that. Zappos recommendations for shoe size selection was right on. They also shipped these out express, which was very cool... Great service.

My sister ordered the all black high tops and they were awesome so I bought a pair too. Sadly, the logo on the back was in black writing and I wanted them to be white like hers. She had ordered them from Zappos a month before, so I'm wondering why they're different.

Great way to buy shoes!! I ordered these for my 15 year old daughter for Christmas. She LOVES them and now, the other girls from her school are also ordering them in various colors. They're just a "fun" fashion accessory. Also, ordering from Zappos is the only way to go. I received them in 24 hours!!!!

Good shoe - Very fashionable and I liked the colors that were available

I eally like the style of the shoe, although the tounge does slip to the side often, making in nessicary to only wear black socks with these snakers. I had bought them to wear at my reatil job thru the holiday season, as I am only allowed to wear black sneakers.

Classic basketball shoe - The Chuck Taylor All Star is a classic. I don't need to tell you how they fit, fell and look because my guess is everyone out there has owned a pair of these shoes.

FAN-TAS-TIC, you won't regret it. I ordered this shoe from Zappos using the free shiping and got it the next day (literally). The shoe fit perfectly - very true to size. I usually leave the top two grommets unlaced and still have the support of the high-top, but not the constraint. Very cmfortable, very wearable. I debated for a long time before I purchased this shoe - and now I have no idea why. The price is right and the shoes are great!

Cool Shoes! I have purchased consecutive pairs of the monochrome black. They are all black (no white laces, or sole). They look great, in the office or in a bar. I have found the quality very poor, having to glue them multiple times. However, given their price, and old-school construction I can forgive them. They look even cooler, the more they fall apart! (Buy a half size smaller than you usually wear!)
