Great fit and nice quality - I had purchased the black Walton at a local shoe store and absolutely fell in love with the comfort and the fit. So, I went out searching for the burgundy as well. I am very pleased with the quality of the leather upper portion of the shoe. Although I typically buy a shoe of this kind with a leather sole, I am finding that the Walton's synthetic sole provides better traction and wear.

The Bass Walton Shoe From Zappos.com - The Bass Walton Shoe is comfortable (a little stiff at first as most shoes are) , looks great, wears well, and the more I use wear them the softer they become. The quality of the shoes is first rate and I have decided to buy the Burgundy since I now have the Black. The shoes and the service are exemplary!

Great looking shoe. The sole is partitioned into leather and rubber - helps prevent ground slippage. The leather upper (breathes nicely) is very thin, and subsequently the shoe stretches a bit. With a dress sock I slip around in the shoe. If I wear an acrylic sock (thicker) then the shoe fits. I'd say the shoe is about one-quarter size larger than marked. All-in-all though, I would recommend the shoe.

They are nice, and they look good. I went down to a 9, which is a 1/2 size smaller. All good. They have a soft, spongy heel/sole. I'm used to the wooden or harder heels, so they feel a little thin. But in the end, for the infrequency in which I use them, they are more than fine, and they are the right price.

Bass Walton - I prefer the Rockport similar style shoe - better support and comfort w/ the Rockport. This size 10 is closer to an 11.

A good shoe - A good shoe that fits well. Not the MOST comfortable I have ever worn, but not a problem at all.

Good Shoes - Good solid shoes, but have a nice dressy look.

Fair shoes for the price but the soles are too thin and they are not comfortable after a day on a hard surface.

Decent shoe for the price. The quality was not up to what I've come to expect from Bass.

This shoe is not of the quality that I expect from Bass. The sole came apart from the shoe after only a few uses. The leather is not a good quality. I do have to say that Zappos has handled the problem without one issue. Although I will not purchase this shoe again, I will continue to purchase from Zappos.

Very disappointed, the quality is terrible. the upper is made with a low grade leather. I have own many Bass penny loafers, and this is the first pair that is cheaply made. I checked it against an older pair I have, and my first impression is right on the money. The older shoe is much better constructed and with better quality leather. I noticed that the old pair was made in Brazil, and this new one in China. They are going back.

Looks better in the picture than it does in person. Very cheap materials, does not hold shape or form. I recommend that you look for a better shoe if you plan to wear this on a regular basis.

Not good. Heel is flimsy and hurts to wear for any period if time. Go with a more expensive, nicer pair. The the pair I bought with these (same size, different shoe) are great.

I bought these shoes to wear at the office during our "summer casual" days. Very comfortable shoes right out of the box. I wore them fairly heavily 3 to 4 days a week for a couple of months and the leather tore between the side of the shoe and the sole. Not fixable so basically had them for two months before I had to toss them. So durability is definitely an issue. They look good and are quite comfortable if you only will use them sparingly.

This is not a very good shoe. The price is attractive, but its not worth it. I wear shoes like this day in and day out for work and have bought many brands of loafers over the years. My specific issue are the leather is flimsy and thin, more so then any other pair I have ever owned.-Support is poor. Feels like I am wearing a pair of slippers instead of shoes.Rubber soles on bottom are nice.The shoe (as others have reported) runs about 1/2 size large, so whereas I have always had 10 1/2 I needed a 10 for this shoe.

Wore this shoe for 2 days and the leather came detached from the bottom creating a hole. Hope this was just a defect because I love the shoes.

Shopped many stores before I turned to the keyboard and found Zappos and the perfect shoe and size at Zappos. Well priced, no shipping charge, and arrived the next day!

Great shoe for both the office and casual nights out. The fit was just a little big so you may want to go down a 1/2 size. Again Zappos delivered as they say and customer service was great.

The shoes fit well although they are not on the high end of comfort as categorized. Prompt delivery like every other Zappos order.

I am very pleased with the Bass Walton loafers. They fit well and very comfortable. Zappos handled my order with efficiency.

I would not buy these shoes again. I had a pair of Bass loafers a few years ago, which is why I bought them again. That pair was good-looking and durable and felt solid and supportive. I would call this pair ultra light-duty. While they look good, they feel really- flimsy- for lack of a better word. I'm kind of disappointed.

Purchased a pair of these shoes and 2 days later the leather became detached from the base of the shoe. I then returned them and got another pair and the same thing happened within 2 days. While my feet my be a little wide for the shoes, I have never purchased a "wide" pair of shoes in my life and never had an issue like this.

Beautifully made, good looking loafer. Unfortunately, the 3E was much too narrow, felt more like a 1E. I gave them to my son and he’s comfortable in them.

Great looking shoes, good value. Comfortable. I've been buying black Bass loafers since my son was small and now he wears a man's size.

I had a pair of shoes that were defective after wearing them for a couple of weeks. I called Zappos and they could not have been more helpful. The person on the telephone could not have been more pleasant. I am totally pleased!!!
