Perfect if you had foot surgery so your foot slips right on easily. It's roomy on top and wide enough for swollen feet. After my foot healed, it's very roomy so it goes on loose but if your feet swell on hot days then it would be fine to wear these shoes too! I think these shoes would be great for those with wide feet. The inner sole comes out if you want to wash and dry out. One drawback, it can be a bit stiff and heavier than wearing Crocs.

Great shoes. I have foot problems (arthritis and heel spur). The Birkenstock clog makes life a little bit easier.

I ordered these because I couldn't stand coming home from work with my feet killing even one more day. My feet are still getting accustomed to having support at work so they are still quite sore on long days. I do wish they were more slip resistant than they are because I have almost bit the dust a couple of times. The fact that I can run them through the dishwasher is great to remove the restaurant funk! No more smelly shoes! In the end I am happy with my purchase. I might look for a more perfect shoe for my next work shoe purchase, however, I may not find one that covers all my needs, slip resistant, supportive, and slip-on. Good investment. Go ahead and purchase these if you have been debating if they are worth the money.

The Super Birki is my new replacement for my worn Crocs which used to be terrific but are now manufactured in overseas and stink. As an RN working 13 hour shifts love the roomy toe box, the stability, and the quality German construction of the clog. The cork footbed is not soft enough for me and I added a Scholl’s gel insert which is heaven. Wish Birki’s would make a soft Birki insert.

Found the sizing to be a little large, especially the width. I wear a 10.5 standard width dress shoe. Sole, particularly the outer portion of the small toe pad, takes some time to wear comfortably. Sole seems firm compared to my Quarks, which these replaced. Style is typical clog. Ugly but functional.

Not a pretty shoe, but a very comfortable one - I have to be honest this is not the best looking shoe in the world. However, it is one of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. When I first looked at the shoe I contemplated sending it back. I had a choice between this shoe and the Crocs Professional. I choose the Birki because it looked sturdier. Not only was it sturdier but also a heck if a lot more comfortable than the Crocs. I'm very happy with the choice I made. I would definitely buy it again.

Covered in flour and still comfortable - I am a baker in market that is housed in a warehouse-like building with a poured concrete floor. I have to say that after the Crocs I wore for the first few months these shoes were really, really hard (kind of like walking on poured concrete). After a few days of breaking in the shoes started to mold to my feet and I have to say, I haven't thought about the shoes or my feet since then. If you have the time to break them in they are worth the price. My one suggestion is to order them one size larger than the size chart says to (I'm a size 13 U.S. and I got a size 47).

Great, but needed more padding - I wear occupational clogs everyday and have tried nearly every brand. I am on my feet at least 10-20+ hours/day. I thought the overall fit was good, easy to clean, etc, I just put some nice soft arch supports in and that made all of the difference in the world. Now they are perfect.

Great work shoes - I'm on my feet for 9-13 hours a day and they are great. As a chef, these are great work shoes; they just wipe off and they are ready to go. The shoes are marked 7 and 7.5 to 8 and 8 so there is a two-size width, but they give plenty of breathing room and stay on my feet without stepping out of them, even when walking backwards.

I guess I'm different! I've worn Birkenstock's Arizona sandals and Boston clogs for years now and I've always worn the same size in them. From all of the reviews here I thought I'd be fine ordering my regular size for the Super-Birki, and maybe they'd be a little big, but that's fine. I got them and they felt about a half size smaller than all my other Birks! My toes felt like they were hitting the upper edge of the insole. So, I'm getting the next size up and hopefully they'll be fine. I really love all my Birks and I am really looking forward to these!

I purchased size 40 (women 9-9.5) It's oversize large and clunky. Stiff man-made upper. Inflexible. I'm so sad they didn't fit. Just purchased Birkenstock Buckley, size 40, fit's well.

I love the look of these Birkenstock’s but they are so wide I can’t keep them on my feet. I don’t wear a narrow, my foot is a typical medium, but these are unusual wide.

These are very comfortable to stand in and I love that they are washable and ergonomic. Unfortunately they will not work for my job as a server as I have to do a lot of walking and my socks slip all over these when I walk, causing me more pain and problems. The heel support is not enough to keep my feet in place and my feet frequently slipped out of these. They are impossible to walk in, let alone walk quickly through a restaurant for long shifts. They made me feet feel like duck feet as they are very large. I wanted to love them but it’s just not going to work out. Going with Sanita sneakers instead.

I initially ordered size 38 per zappos recommendation (7-7.5 is 38), I think they recommended that size for me since i wear size 7 for On and Hoka shoes. I should have known better because all my other Birkenstock sandals are 37, but I thought maybe this was different because it has closed toes. Anyways 38’s we’re huge on me! And not really flexible. They had nice insoles though but my husband thinks these are the ugliest shoes I’ve ever bought. I wasn’t really going for the style though. I reordered them in 37 but Zappos sent me another 38’s!! I think if I had them in 37, I would have kept them but not sure at this point if I want to try ordering the same shoes for the 3rd time.

I'm an old lady and need shoes that conform to my feet more than these did. Even with heavy socks on they were still too wide. I've worn Birkenstocks for many, many years, and ordered the size I wear in another closed shoe Birkenstock, but I can't risk tripping on them so will be sending them back.

I am a perfect 6.5 shoe size but these were way too big so I had to return them. Seems like a good shoe but my feet were too small. The backside also seems like my foot would just slide out, not much there to hold my foot in even if it did fit.

I really wanted to like these shoes. Several of the doctors I work with love these shoes. I have worn Danskos for years and I wanted to try another shoe, as I stand for hours on my feet in the operating room. In my option, there is not enough support for standing long periods of time. I have worn Birk sandles and absolutely love them, but these clogs do not compare. Also, they make your feet sweat something awful!

I am just deciding what to return these for with the great Zappos customer service offered here. The fact that they're both men's and women's sizes quoted may confuse people, and they ended up being gigantic (in width and depth) on my feet, I'd have to wear awfully thick socks or go get the gel stuff. Plus they're awfully wide for a medium width it seems. They are well-made, and if they did fit my feet properly, I could see they'd be good shoes, but the angled front part of the shoes was the only measurement that seemed close to my size, and seemed to hit my left foot second toe funny! Going to send back in, really wide and tall, okay in length, but like they were men's size eight. Not for me!

Wonder full shoes but are much wider than the original Birki's. I have worn my original shoes until they are tread less. But the new shoes do not fit.

Contrary to other reviewers opinions, I ordered these 'Birkis' because I thought they looked like clogs are supposed to look. I started wearing clogs (with wooden soles) back in the late '60s. These are more primal looking than the 'pimped up' ones you see today. I wondered if these expensive Croc-like clogs wouldn't be more comfortable than my $20 Crocs + $7 Dr. Scholls inserts. They came, I tried them on, I sent them back. Stick with Crocs. Of course, they were prettier than my black Crocs.

Just one problem - I hate to ruin what seemed a perfect reputation but I did have one problem. I'm a doctor and I wore these for my first year of residency. They are as cute & comfortable as the other reviewers reported, but they BROKE after the first year! I've since had cheaper clogs that have lasted till I just didn't want to look at them anymore, but only this Super-Birki broke/cracked on me. To be fair, they DO feel/look great and maybe you don't put 90 miles/month on your clogs.
