Returning these, my groomed toenails even with socks kept snagging on a seam lip on the inside.

I was pretty excited about getting a pair of shoes I could slide into when going out to walk the dogs etc. I have fallen arches and wear Birkenstock sandals during the summer....but the Birki was terrible. It is humungous. Your foot slides forward and smashes the toes but is so wide that you need to wear thick socks and that is worse on the toes. I am pretty bummed because you would need the widest feet to wear these comfortably. Back they go. Thanks Zappos for your awesome return policy.

I really want to like these clogs. They are sturdy and durable. I love the cork footbed because of the arch support. Walking is the difficulty. I fell the first time that I walked down stairs. It is hard to keep them on and you have to change the way you walk to adapt, which cannot be good. I am a chef who stands around all day so I am going to keep them because I stand in the same place often. If they had support in the back of the foot, I would rate them five stars. It is a shame that you have to spend much more to get a strap or backing, in the other models. I may end up sticking with my silly Crocs though.

The size I ordered was too big and the shoe material was too stiff for a comfotable fit. My mistake.

The fit is too loose for a size 10. The Birkenstock sizing accommodates 10 and 10.5 sizes, which when coupled with the slippery material, made for a baggy fit, with the shoe wobbling around. This is especially dangerous on stairs. If sold in half size increments, it would fit better.

I really can’t give a review but had to put a star. I got mine today and tried them on. They were supposed to be true to fit but they felt two sizes larger. My foot wouldn’t stay in them.

These shoes were so stiff and the soles were that shiny plastic, so I can’t imagine that they would be anywhere near slip resistant… I’d expect that kind of trash from Shoes 4 Crews, not Birkenstock, what were they thinking? These are not work shoes……I returned them immediately. Not to mention they were maybe a size and a half too small. Love their sandals, but I’ll never try their Work line again.

Not comfortable. Heavy. Not sure how people in the service industry wear these all day. My tennis shoes are much more comfortable.

The shoes were way too wide. If your foot is wide, they will be fine.

Absolutely horrible and embarrassing Birkenstoke shoes

Frankenstein foot! These were enormous on my feet. I take a women's 11-12, or mens 10.5. These were a mens US 10 (EU43). And they were super wide(could fit a finger between foot & side of shoe What's up with the sizing??

These are very large. I've had to return them three times and am giving up the idea of owning some. I want to wear them for choir concerts, but with only five days left until a performance, won't have time to break them in. Given my long, and mostly happy, history with Zappos, I think I might receive better size recommendations. My feet aren't shrinking.

Awful could not be more disappointed I soley (no pun attended) bought the shoe going on the Birkenstock name They are ill fitting - and in less then a year are going to have to be replaced due to the inner soles wearing out - isn't that what you pay the premium of birkenstock for - the inner soles - back to sketchers

Wow! These Birkenstocks are extremely BIG! I ordered the size I always wear in Birks, a 37, and could not keep them on my feet even with heavy socks. Thanks for Zappos amazing return policy.

If you have curly hair, a love of second breakfast and adventure, you could feel almost hobbit like in these shoes. Yes, they are ugly. I bought them for their practicality. The material on the top of the shoe makes for easy clean up. The slip on style is great for taking your feet out to breathe. You could find those qualities in other shoes for a lesser price. These are my first pair of Birks and I have been trying to like them for a few weeks now. I am still not happy with them because they are uncomfortable. I work in radiology and am of the opinion that these shoes are better for those who stand more than they walk. These shoes squeak on the hospital floors, have a heavy, clunky feel, that lead me to shuffle along, rather than walk. Lastly, the hard surface rubs the top of my (hobbit feet) bunions.

I purchased these shoes to work in the yard. They are the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet. I normally wear a 7 1/2 so I ordered the 38. I feel like a little girl wearing her fathers shoes. I have added two additional insoles under the original and they are still too large. I can walk right out of them. Let me add that I do have the Birkenstock Arizona and Florida sandals and I love them. They were actually designed for a women's foot as opposed to these that were obviously designed for a large man's foot.

I am not too happy with the product I received. I ordered the navy blue ones and instead of the word Birkenstock printed on it it had the word birki printed on it with a black insole instead of a tan insole with the multicolored birki on it. That isn't even on your website. They were one to two sizes too big. The next size down is too small. I reordered a 7.5 and hopefully this time it has the word Birkenstock printed on it instead or birki and that it fits properly. I always wear a 7.5-8 so I'm not sure the reason it fit so large on me. The insole they came with is comfortable but there is no benefit if it is too large.

It must be noted: These are so ugly, it's comical. They are very harsh feeling and super wide. I was not a fan at all but read all the other reviews, people really like them.

I love Zappos, but not a fan of this shoe. It's heaving, wide, and stiff. I also found they do not run large like my Birkenstock sandals. I ordered a half-size down, and they're too short. I would be returning them anyway...not a comfortable shoe.
