My husband loved but I don't know if the boot duke it's like that, inside don't have any comfort pads I want to know if it like that?

My husband bought these shoes over 30 years ago and they are still in good shape.

I have these boots. I am not sure how old they are, but I purchased them from a retired Navy officer at a yard sale. I have flat feet. From the moment I tried them on I knew I had to have them. They felt bespoke. I know a new pair would not be the same, but I had to write this review. I bought them from the man and have been the best, most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I believe it is, in part, because most of the sole is leather with exception to the heel. They now have holes in them but lasted ME almost eleven years. I STILL wear them. The stitching has wore off the sole and has started to gap. It is too much to fix at the shoe specialist, as my wife and I are on a fixed income. In today's society everyone wants to say something bad, but I wanted to thank you, the employees and the owner for making this shoe, a zip up boot really. It is the work of people who know and love their craft.

I don't have a pair now but I used to wear these exclusively back in the day. I got rid of them after I retired and changed my style of dress. They are excellent quality good looking and wear well I had a pair in black and a brown pair. They still bring back fond memories. If you're looking for a well made, long lasting and versatile dress shoe you cannot go wrong with these. I still love the way the look. Classic.

No break-in period necessary, fits like a glove-very soft yet supportive. Will always be in-style. Delivery period was as scheduled, no defects. No need to call the customer service. Looks better than the picture.

First time they came the size was right but the fit was too big, so I called and got one size smaller and boom, they fit and look awesome!

Buy both Essex and Duke. Prefer the heel on the Essex, that of the Duke is taller than I like. I have had the heel lowered to match the Essex. Very comfortable, get compliments on both styles Have given good service

I have received several compliments from, among others, horse owners. I purchased a pair of black and brown Florsheim Imperial Boots in Raleigh, NC over 40 years ago. I'm very meticulous in how I care for my footwear and I am still wearing the brown pair and they look like new (the black pair having been lost in a move). Although many of today's products do not live up to a reputation established many years ago, my new boots buck the trend and they are a very pleasant surprise. Although my brown boots remain very serviceable, I would definitely purchase another pair. I continue to highly praise and recommend these boots to others. Thanks for keeping up the good work.
