I've been wearing this type of boot continuously since 1981. I wear it to work every day. My favourite shoe.

Hurts the balls of my husbands feet. Had to purchase foot liners with a good cushion. Still not perfectly comfortable. The boots are very attractive and classie. But he wanted a boot he could wear all day and not have his feet hurt. He's a salesman, and wears expensive cloths. The boots look great, but can not ware the boots as much as he wanted to. I would only recommend for formal wear.

the product I ordered was shipped and arrived in the timeframe promised. I need to try the footwear to ensure size. I was impressed by the usual Florsheim quality but I need boots one 1/2 size larger. I followed the return/exchange process and the right size boots arrived and I'm happy. My feet are happy and I'm impressed.

This is a shoe that never disappoints, and seems to be in style no matter what year it is.

A great looking, understated boot.A tad too snug, but I suppose they'll "give" a little. (The sizing chart seemed to be unavailable).

I have been buying this boot for well over 20 years. I wear them everyday for work and also for more formal occasions. They look great with everything from jeans to a tuxedo. I especially like the heel and the point of the boot. All my slacks are cut for the height of the heel. I would be very upset if Florshiem stopped making this boot. I did see a decrease in quality when they began making them in India. The weak area of the boot is where the sole meets the leather on this sides. Recently I have ordered them in a 1/2 size larger which seems to be better. I am always complimented on these boots. Would like to see more color options i.e. cordavan or burgandy. Not crazy about the brown that is offered. Overall it is a great boot and seeing that I am a 3E in width it is not easy to find a boot as attractive as this in my size. I hope will continue to be made for another 20+ years.

I have been wearing this style for many years; like the smart look and get compliments from everyone. I especially like the higher than normal heel and the zipper makes it easy to put them on and to take them off. The only negative is that the shoe needs a soft inner sole for more comfort.

I used to buy this boot and other Florsheim products under your Florsheim Royal Imperial brand name. Those shoes had a better quality of leather and make. These boots are good and I like them but would like to see you make these the "old fashioned way" i.e., with Florsheim Royal Imperial materials and quality.

I wear the boots mostly with suits. I do have a problem only with the last two pair of boots I've purchased, the sock on my left foot seem to bunch up around my big toe and after a while it becomes VERY uncomfortable. Other than that I have no complaint and be assured I will be buying more of the same boot. Terry

I first bought a pair of these back back when I was 18 for my senior prom and I have replaced them ever since when they wear out (I'm 26 now). They look like they came right out of the 60's--even my dad and people who wore beatle boots back in the day say so. I get complements about them all the time from chicks and dudes alike. They go great with my tight black pants, my slim fitting pants in general and my suit. Unfortunately, they wear out somewhat quickly, make an undesirable sound when they rub together and the leather soles absorb water easily; so it's a bad idea to wear them in wet weather. I'd give these boots a 5 star rating if they were made with rubber soles, thereby making them more waterproof and durable.

I have worn the Royal Imperial boots since mid-70's. In those days they were taller with a horizontal band at top. For a while the bicycle toe left - glad it's back. I have always kept 1 blk and 1 light brown (over years you have named it antique gold thru several other names to the current cognac. But the color has always been more tan than brown and very stylish.) I like the slightly higher heel and all my trousers are tailored to the additional height. These are the only "dress shoes" I ever wear except for patent tux shoes and topsiders or sneakers. No loafers or lace-ups for me thanx....I prefer the zipper. I recommend the boots to everyone and have several happy converts. I get 2 resoles and multiple heels to every pair and usually have a pair in waiting in a box in the closet of each color. My only problem with the current cognac is finding a paste wax that matches the shade. I am mixing cordovan and tan right now but it's a pain. Love the boots....When I've worn them out they are donated to Performing Arts Supply in Houston and appear on stages all around the Gulf Coast region. PS the running narrow is no problem for me. My "actual" shoe size is 9b..so the narrow last is a plus for me.

I love this boot and have been wearing this same boot for probably close to 20 years. They are great with jeans up have even worn them with my tuxedo. Classic design and hope it will always be available by Florshiem. Because I have worn these for so many years I have seen the quality go down hill a bit. The leather tends to let go on the side where it meets the sole. It use to be fairly cheap to repair them but now the repair cost are approx. 1/2 the price of a new pair. Even though I still plan on buying these boots hopefully for the rest of my life. Please do not discontinue them. All of my suits and slacks are altered to accomodate the higher heel which I also like very much. I still feel it's an awesome boot. THANK YOU

I have been wearing this style boot (The Duke) since about 1975. I cannot begin to say how comfortable the boot is whether winter or summer, dress or casual or business it fits all occasions from suits to blue jeans.

Been wearing the black ones for years. When brand new, they look so good, people seemed to be moved to say "nice boots!", even strangers when I'm walking down the street. Good size heel boosts my 5'8'' height nicely as well. The sole wears down pretty quickly, especially if you walk a lot on city sidewalks. And the finish on top might start to "peel" a bit if you scuff the top toe area. Then they don't look as great anymore, but a quick polish helps. They're not super-expensive, so I get a new pair every year (some years I've bought two pairs) and wear them late spring, summer, into the fall. Not the winter, they're not rugged enough for cold weather and snow. Looks good with just about everything. Can wear them at work, can wear them with jeans. I hope Florsheim never stops making Duke boots.

I was looking for shoes that wouldn't aggravate my PFS in my knees but would also help strengthen the muscles. I gave Earth shoes a try. First I bought 'Tranquill,' the sandal, and noticed the difference immediately. I could walk for hours and climb up and down subway steps with *no problem!* Before, my knees would have been swelling and aching. The next obvious step was an Earth athletic shoe, so I chose Rocket in the dark gray/orange. I was able to break them in by walking the Forbidden City and Summer Palace in Beijing, and then the final test was the Great Wall. No pain (other than the expected aches)! Earth makes wonderful shoes, and I hardly want to put anything else on my feet nowadays. Cons: They do rub a little at the Achilles tendon even though I bought a half-size larger than my usual 6. It's nothing too problematic, though, but it would have been with a 6.

Nice boots; little bit too much of a heel to them. Make SURE to order one size larger. If you normally wear a 10 than order a 10 and a half. Safe thing with width. If you wear medium D width order an EE. Thin leather soles; if you wear them a lot you'll probably get a hole. Haven't had a chance to see how the zippers hold up. Overall, I'm satisfied. Felt true to size with above caveats.

Why a 4? I was wearing a pair of the duke boots while I was ordering another pair. And another pair in the closet. But why give 4? If you take it into context with a boot which I believe was one of my best you will understand, this boot A{moreschi)was like part of your body when you wore it. But if not for this I would give it a 10. I have a pair of sountoni which were made in Italy and compared to the Duke (less expensive) Don't know how to spell last shoe. Great service, consideration, and a great boot. I will be back to your store.
I'd also recommend:
Florshime I believe spelled Chatham. classy well designed dress boot.
