I research *everything* for ages, especially things that I will use often, as I want the best available option for my needs. These slippers were no different. I have looked at every slipper most retailers offer (that is a LOT when it comes to Zappos!) & after at least three months of research decided the Scuffette II would be the best for my needs. I wanted: flexible sole (I only wear them on wooden & stone floors), slip-on style (I won't bend over to get a slipper on, it needs to be easy & quick, plus my ankles don't get cold, it's my toes that do), something that will wear nicely, preferably of leather or natural fibres, something plushy & luxurious (otherwise I'd just keep getting cheap ones at discount stores), one that didn't pull at my instep, a fully lined slipper, something that had grip but wasn't clompy/heavy, with a good warrantee, & one that wouldn't look dirty immediately. The Scuffette II seemed to fit all my criteria. I did try another mail order company's scuff style shearling slipper, but they felt like two different sizes & shed fuzz. They went back & I went to the Zappos app to get a pair of Uggs. Only size 8 was out. I signed up for a notification from the app, which never came, but I was stalking the page for restocks anyway. They finally showed up & I placed my order. I got my babies in two days (such awesome shipping!) & carefully unwrapped them. Uh-oh. They looked huge & the uppers felt weird, like stiff board & fake fur! Tried them on. Huge. WTF? The boxes all said size 8. But the slipper tags said 9! I called & got a replacement shipped out immediately (arrived next day!) & the new ones were *perfect*. Soft, with dense fluff & malleable uppers. I waited a day or two to make sure (no shedding like with the inferior ones) & then sent the 9's back. The return shipping travel took the entire two weeks allotted for returns (ugh, UPS) but everything went smoothly. It's been a month & I am so happy with my slippers! Everything I needed.

These slippers are so warm. They are worth the money. I usually have very cold feet and I don't even need to wear socks with these slippers because my feet are so warm. I absolutely love them!

What's not to love about Ugg slippers? I always order a size up as I like my slippers to be loose. Ugg slippers are warm and last a long time. Worth every penny.

Love these slippers! This is my second pair. I'm usually at size 9/9.5 and the 9s fit great. At first I was unsure so I ordered a 10 also, but they were huge. Stick with the tight fit as they loosen up in 1 wear.

I use these as indoor slippers and I love them. I normally wear UGG moccasins as slippers but I wanted something that I could just slip on and this fits my needs perfectly. I wear them with and without socks and they the fits remains the same.

This is my second pair of the scuffs. I love them and they wear very well. I put these on from the moment I get home and wear them until I go to bed.

Not only were the shoes awesome and just what I wanted, but our experience with Zappos far exceeded any other customer service we have ever experienced. Thank you Zappos for being so customer oriented!

I bought these in 2006, they fit like a dream and still look like new after 8 years. I have a pair in black, too. I wear one pair or the other every day for 9 months of each year. I have a large house and do a lot of running back and forth from one room to the other. These slippers have logged a lot of miles and still look like new! My daughter has a pair that she wore every day until last month. She wore them outside as well as inside (they are house shoes only) so they did finally wear out...after about 6 years. In our experience, these slippers are just really, really well made. About the arch support: I have low arches, so no arch support is not a problem for me. The wool cradles my feet and that seems to be all I need. My daughter's arches are higher, but no arch support was no problem for her, either. If you really need firm arch support you probably should buy a different pair of slippers. About the fit: These slippers are wooly inside - that's why they're warm, and why they wick moisture, etc. etc. The wool will compress to fit your foot (like, your personal foot's shape), which in my opinion feels great. But until it does, the slipper will be too small. Try wearing them without socks for a few days until the wool flattens down. And, yes, as I recall (thinking back 8 years) you should probably buy a half size to a size larger. That way, the wool won't have to crush down as much to fit your feet.

I just received these in the mail and I ordered them yesterday morning. I was concerned when I read the reviews which indicated that there would be a sizing issue. I usually wear a 7.5 W, so most shoes are abominably uncomfortable and squeeze my feet. These, in a size 8 (which is my go-to in "regular" shoes), are absolutely perfect. It fit like a glove without having to "wear them in." Fit is great, it's totally comfortable (I don't expect an arch support in a slipper - and I wear orthotics in my sneakers but this is just fine!). I love them and highly recommend them.

Got these for my SIL as a gift 10 years ago and just purchased again for her this year. Long lasting and comfortable slippers!

As this slipper only comes in full sizes it was too tight for my daughter. She wears 7 1/2. I experienced wonderful customer service help in the exchange for a size 8.

Awesome shoe/slipper. I have been happy with all of my UGG products purchased over the years. Zappos is great, unbelievable customer service. I place my order, I open my door and it is there! (Practically :)

The best slippers ever!! My feet never get cold or too hot and sweaty. While these are pricey for slippers, they are worth every penny. I purchased these for my in-laws and own parents for christmas. Everyone loves them.

I bought these as a gift. I've had my own pair for over a year and love them. I hope the recipient likes hers as much as I like mine. I wear a 7 1/2 or 8 and the 8 fits me perfectly.

These are the most comfortable slippers I have ever had! They seem to fit true to size. I usually wear a 7-7.5 and the 7 fits fine with room behind my heel. I would highly recommend them!

After purchasing the Scuff for my boyfriend and finding my feet very cold I had to order these for myself. They are great, but I am exchanging for the next larger size. Be warned that these run small, so size up if you want your heel inside your slipper. I look forward to the new pair. Zappos, as always you offered fantastic customer service. Love you guys.
