The fit and size were perfect. They are pretty comfortable. The top is more snug than my old pair. I regret buying black as the dye on the wool comes off on my feet and legs. I thought I had diligently looked for a pair made in Australia but to my surprise these (full price, around $183.00) were made in China. The wool is not soft like my old pair. It's pretty course and itchy on my legs.

I bought these to replace my old pair of Uggs. First I bought them in women’s. They looked identical in photos, but when they arrived, they were much narrower on the top opening and shaft, much tighter in the heel, and much tighter around the toe box. My old pair was made in China, and the new pair was made in the Philippines so it seems that they had different specifications. I returned those and ordered the men’s in the recommended size. They are fine in length, ok in width but still much tighter than my old ones, and feel smaller at top even though the measurements are supposedly the same. I wear them around the house to keep my feet warm so I would prefer that they were looser. I tried on my husband’s UGGs that are a size bigger, and they are too long so I am keeping these and I hope that they will stretch a little.

The ankle opening was so narrow I couldn't even try them on. My last pair were this size and they fit great - even a bit too big. So disappointed to return.

I have had a pair of 9D UGG Classic Short boots for 2 years now and wear them constantly. My usual shoe size is 8.5 so I ordered 8's based on size comments. Those were too snug so Zappos replaced them with 9's which fit just right. I was disappointed to see that UGG's "Australian" boots came with a "Made in China" logo for which I've deducted one star. I have "cold feet" so these have fit the bill perfectly as my "go to" footwear when I am around the house which is more than average because I'm retired. I have absolutely no qualms about giving these five stars for comfort. On the downside, these boots are reaching the end of their useful life. Unlike some UGG boots, these boots do not have replaceable insoles and the right insole has worn through. I have just "made do" for now by using an UGG replacement insole one size smaller over the original insole. However, in the course of inspecting the boots, I found that the "big toe" side of the right boot is breaking through so I suspect the remaining life is in the range of 6 months or 2.5 years total. I am deducting stars for quality/durability. While I will most certainly replace these boots with something as identical as possible; the replacements will probably not be UGG.
