Great shoe for the money! Nice cushioned interior that really hugs the foot. As a detective, these are great shoes for walking around crime scenes, and I don't mind getting them a little dirty. They seem like they will clean up nicely, and have nice, soft leather. The soles are sturdy and cushioned as well.

Nice Casuals - I use 9½ 3E, and compared to Propet (which for me require a ½ size larger) my Deer Stags Times are true to size. They pamper my feet in comfort with good arch support and look good with their smooth, polished, black leather. When the insoles are removed, a hole is revealed in each heel, but I guess those are part of the S.U.P.R.O. Sock feature. These are great casual shoes, and if the soles had a less rugged, boot-like design, they would be very good dress shoes.

Fit is fine - Fit is fine but the side rise is a little higher than most. This causes a slight irritation on the side of the ankle but overall an excellent feel.

Great shoes, comfortable as any if not more so, and an awesome value for the price. only negative is that the first few days wearing them they'd mark the floors, as if marking their territory. Once broken in, though, they stop leaving their mark.

Comfortable pair of shoes - Deer Stag Times is a very comfortable shoe. This was my primary consideration when I bought it. It looks simple but elegant for office wear. DS Times is also lightweight considering its volume. I would have rated it with 5 stars were it not for a bit of design flaw... the side collar rubs on the ankle bone. Like wearing running shoes - This is the 3rd time I have purchased both a pair of black and brown Deer Stags' Times. I have a wide foot and with other shoes I usually need a size 10 to fit my wide feet, but then they are usually a little too long. With these, a 9.5 wide is a perfect fit. They feel like running shoes on my feet.

Comfortable, looks OK. They have a plain conservative look. They're not much to look at, but very comfortable.

Comfortable shoe, great price- This shoe is the most comfortable I've worn, and the low price makes it a real bargain! Great for business casual at the office.

Trying this shoe for a second time - I had owned a pair of these shoes once before and they were very comfortable. I had them for a couple of years and didn't want to give them up because they were so comfortable. The pair I just purchased seem to be tight and on the left foot is painful on the top of the foot. Maybe my feet have changed. Hopefully they will get broken in and get just as comfortable as the last pair I had. I like these shoes because I think they go well with jeans. They also can be comfortable when you are on your feet all day.

COMFORT! I stand on my feet all day, needing a very comfy casual dress shoe... This shoe's name should be comfortable!

Decent shoe - This is a very good shoe for casual/dressy occasions. It didn't suit my needs as much because they seemed much more shiny than I thought they would be. I have worn them several times and they seem comfortable enough to keep me satisfied.

I just received these shoes today. Very speedy service. Tried them on, and seem to fit okay, going to need some breaking in, however. The problem I have is that the colors available are black and brown. I ordered the brown, and I must say, these are not brown. More of a cordovan or maroonish type color. Probably going to keep them, because they will get me by for now.

These look nice, can get away with wearing them with dress slacks or with jeans. They run wide though.

I get crazy blisters on the back of my heel every time I wear these! What am I doing wrong? Great price and Zappos was great as usual!

Shoe was a little wider in the heel which causes me to have to tie it tighter than I prefer. Not enough to be a problem though. Nice shoe other than that. No shoe anymore seems to have a good arch support, its a thing of the past. They all want us to buy our own insole replacements I guess.

I wear a size 15 and needed a new pair of brown shoes for a wedding. I didn't feel like spending more than my budget, and these served the purpose, but by no means are they a comfortable shoe. I've only had them for a month, so there's still some breaking in to be done, and maybe they will improve after that. Will update review if there's an improvement.

Insole quite soft. Area around ankle too high and uncomfortable. Much warmer than my previous shoes (similar design) for summer use. Wish I would have returned them instead of wearing them out of town. Ended up with a blister at the back of my ankle after first day.

Nice look and feel. Problem in the heel. It's not solid. There is a clear piece in the center. When heel wears out around this, you'll be left with a hole in your heel.

The heel design dug into and hurt the back of my son's heels. There's a horizontal ridge that I suppose is intended to help grip the heel, but it just put more pressure on it. It was also misshaped due to the packaging stick that goes from toe to heel.

I bought these shoes for my 6th grader. For a stiff shoe, they work fine for periodic dress-up, not sure how they would wear for everyday use. Most importantly, the "leather" on the top of the shoe got scuffed on his first use, which caused the surface to peel back, exposing white underneath. Hard to hide the white spot now.

Ordered these shoes because they are considered airport friendly. They were pretty uncomfortable and didn't provide much of an arch support.

I love how these shoes fit - I wore my first pair for a little over a year. I purchased a second pair, but after 2.5 months, the outside started to bubble and flake off! Poor construction on the second pair, but my first pair was great... maybe it was just a bad batch.

Too Large, Chewed Up Heel - I liked the look and feel of this shoe: lightweight, easy stepping, pleasant appearance, and the absence of metal shanks made airports and travel a breeze. However, the shoe was indeed over-sized by at least a half size (perhaps more) and the rolled over heel combing cut serious and nasty blisters on the backs of both my ankles! I'm trying again with this same shoe, now 4 months later, with a smaller size; and I'm going to aggressively soften the new shoes' heel combings before leaving home for a 5-day trip. Obviously, I liked this shoe enough for a reprise but listen carefully to those of us who complained first about the sizing, and second about the stiff, cutting heel combing. I'll write again when I get the new ones ...

Water gets in - These shoes were allright, but not in a rainy day. When it rains is as though you are barefoot. The water gets in and out as wishes.

Think Twice - I read the review and thought this shoe would be super-comfortable. It's not. I wore the shoe around the office for about six hours before wearing it outside. They seemed all right for a few days. After walking around New York City all day, my dogs were barking. I developed blisters on the balls of my feet. I'm 6'4 and 235. If you're normal size and you don't need a lot of cushioning, they might work. If you need cushioning for the forefoot, think twice. (Note: cushioning in the heel is good.) I'm planning to buy a pair of Clarks.
