I've had the World Tour Encounter before and thought I'd try the Classic. It is excellent for everyday use and I use it for work and casual wear. My only comment is that the lace keeps slipping and I need to tie a double knot to keep the slippage at a minimum. Other than that, it is an excellent shoe.

A good looking well made shoe. Very true to size (in my case 91/2}. Has a much harder sole than I anticipated as I had an earlier pair of "Pro Walker"s which were much more cushioned and I was told that these were similar. Personal preference... I liked the more cushioned better. If this doesn't matter to you, this is a nice shoe.

I really like the shoes with one exception. The soles have caused me to slip 3 different times when the weather was rainy or wet. This happened on a sealed textured pebble sidewalk surface, an asphalt sidewalk and upon entering a commuter train with a metal step. I could've easily fallen, but didn't. I do really like the shoes. They are very comfortable to wear. But, I am hesitant to wear them if the weather is going to be wet.

A great shoe that I've bought for 20 years at least but notice the quality of the shoestrings has greatly deteriorated over the past few years and now seem to start fraying in less than a year which is extremely irritating.

Though the shoes have changed some over the years, these are still my favorite for everyday wear. More comfortable than tennis shoes, better looking, and go with every kind of long pant from jeans to dress trousers. Also, the soles never wear out. Only two minor complaints. First, the upper leather above the heel has weakend with new models so that it crushes a little each time I put the shoes on. This wears out that area faster than normal. Seems to be a design/quality change that happened a few years back. Also, the tow area scuffs a little easier these days...thinner smooth layer on the leather? But polish takes it back to new till it wears off.

Could use a little more arch support and a thicker insole.

Have used Rockport world tour for many years and its one of the best shoes I have worn.

These shoes were better than expected. They are my on the go casual shoes. The only negative is they are to keep clean.

Acquired before working in Europe for several weeks, so walking and comfort essential. Held up fine. Never tiring to wear.

I've worn Rockport shoes for at least 20 years now. I have flat feet and I've found Rockport shoes to be the only shoes that I'm comfortable in.

Had to return these shoes - they're goodlooking shoes but cut to narrow for my foot.

This is my second pair. I generally have a hard time with shoes since I suffer from heel spurs, bunions and hammer toes and gout. With this shoe, I feel like a new man. None of the above ailments bother me.

Arch support in the past sme shoe purchase had more arch support and was wider in the toe area in the ball part.

I have had 4 pairs of Rockport shoes in the last 10 years. The quality has always been the best.
