I have owned two pairs of Rockports. The first pair lasted two years, and I estimate that I put over 6,000 miles on them! The second lasted over 10 years. I was talked out of Rockports for my most recent shoes. Six months later and a lame pair of shoes in the trash, I am going back to Rockports.

I have had a hard time finding a shoe of this type that doesn't rub against my ankles. This one is perfect. Caveat:I normally wear an 11-1/2 or a 12. For this shoe, a 13 was none too large.

Finding a good fitting shoe is usually difficult for me (8 1/2, 4E) but the Rockport fits great and looks great. Customer service is awesome.

Great shoes. I am on my second pair. They are durable, give great support, and nice looking for the type of shoe.

The "go anywhere shoe." Perfect for travel and even dress occasions if needed.

Gotta Have Rockports. I've been wearing the RWT classic for about six years and I still keep buying more. I see Hush Puppy has a approx. duplicate of this shoe. I wonder how those are?

best shoes ever owned. have been wearing this shoemost of the time for the last 2.5 years. walk 14 hours per day as a physician. the shoes are just starting to show sole wear. never replaced the laces or insole pad. originally bought for comfort. receive lots of shoe brand recognition and completements. all around comfort , looks and durability

I checked true to width but they are perhaps marginally narrow. Biggest complaint and enough to cause these shoes to be my last Rockport's is that they really cheaped out on shoelaces. Way too short! Can't even tie in a bow ... not enough length. Instead have gone back to the old Boy Scout square knot. Where do you buy shoe laces in this day and age?

Very comfortable after a short breaking in period. I have owned this shoe before and it seemed to be a little more comfortable with the earlier version. I use this shoe for work.

I have been wearing the Rockports to work every day since I bought them a month ago. They are very comfortable and I like the way they look. The first pair I ordered a half size larger than my normal, based on some of the reviews. But they turned out to be too big so I returned them and got my normal size (only took a couple of days!).

Not the same Rockport of years passed... Sole and insole lack substance. Bought this shoe 3 weeks ago and found it at Costco for $38.00, which is about what it is worth. Feeling slightly ripped off...

This is a very comfortable and good looking business casual work shoe. Unfortunately the heel (back wall of the shoe) started to come apart inside each shoe within six months of daily wear. I resorted to duct tape to hold the heels together, but you may not be as frugal or stubborn as I am.

Whole shoe is wide. This is an unusual wide shoe. If the front of your foot is wide but your heel and ankle are normal width, the shoe will be way too big, no ankle support.

I ordered these based on a lot of good reviews. The shoes were as comfortable as any I have ever owned. Unfortunately they were not durable. I accidentally scraped one on something and the outer finish came right off. That's the first picture. Within a month or two the leather at the widest point of my left foot (the narrower of my feet) started to separate from the sole. At this point I was using the shoes only as casual dress shoes, not abusing them at all. Now the separation is three inches long (second picture); I can only use them as work shoes. This was a defect of workmanship, not an undersized shoe. The right shoe, my wider and larger foot and the foot I used to choose the size, has never separated.

i feel that these X WIDTH were no different in width that the WIDE so i will be returning them

"It's better to look good than to feel good". Shoe is constructed like an athletic shoe with lots of adhesive and heat sealing to reduce cost. The saying "Its better to look good, than to feel good" really applies to this Rockport. Toe box tapers sharply, not enough room to be really comfortable in. The padded collar is soft, but after a while, begins to rub and give me hot spots. This Rockport is good to rotate with more expensive shoes during the week, or to travel in so your not concerned about excessive wear on your good shoes. Based on the construction methods, service life if questionable. Recommend a more robustly constructed shoe like a Timberland or a pair of Borns'.

SAD! Husband had worn , and loved , this shoe. Has several pair. This one.......smaller (when ordering the same size) and the shoe laces so short hardly enough to tie!

Good fit. Good support. I've worn custom arch supports for 73 years so far. These arch supports become ever more extreme and Rockport World Walkers stand up to them.

This is my third pair of these shoes. My first were the Chocolate Nubucks, in what was then was my size: 14D. Since then, as I have aged and my arches have flattened, my feet have become 15Ds. This is the size I now have, and they fit just fine. More to the point; the reason I ordered another pair is that (when they fit) they are very comfortable and good-looking shoes, which my wife found out when I got her to try a pair. My one misgiving is that their insoles offer little arch support, but that is easily remedied with inexpensive orthotic inserts. Overall, this is a shoe that I have already bought twice, and would certainly buy again.

It's rare to find shoes to fit my 15W feet,but I'm a Zappos-Rockport fan since buying these shoes. They're well made of quality materials, fit comfortably and are great for dressy-casual wear-- slacks or jeans. I appreciate Zappos' convenient free shipping (both ways, if I needed to return the shoes). I'm very happy with Zappos & Rockport.

Husband needed a pair of shoes that were casual enough to travel with and use for sightseeing. These fit the bill! Comfortable out of the box and met my style requirements. He wears between 8-8.5 and W. In this shoe he needed the 8.5.
