i feel that these X WIDTH were no different in width that the WIDE so i will be returning them

"It's better to look good than to feel good". Shoe is constructed like an athletic shoe with lots of adhesive and heat sealing to reduce cost. The saying "Its better to look good, than to feel good" really applies to this Rockport. Toe box tapers sharply, not enough room to be really comfortable in. The padded collar is soft, but after a while, begins to rub and give me hot spots. This Rockport is good to rotate with more expensive shoes during the week, or to travel in so your not concerned about excessive wear on your good shoes. Based on the construction methods, service life if questionable. Recommend a more robustly constructed shoe like a Timberland or a pair of Borns'.

SAD! Husband had worn , and loved , this shoe. Has several pair. This one.......smaller (when ordering the same size) and the shoe laces so short hardly enough to tie!

Good fit. Good support. I've worn custom arch supports for 73 years so far. These arch supports become ever more extreme and Rockport World Walkers stand up to them.

This is my third pair of these shoes. My first were the Chocolate Nubucks, in what was then was my size: 14D. Since then, as I have aged and my arches have flattened, my feet have become 15Ds. This is the size I now have, and they fit just fine. More to the point; the reason I ordered another pair is that (when they fit) they are very comfortable and good-looking shoes, which my wife found out when I got her to try a pair. My one misgiving is that their insoles offer little arch support, but that is easily remedied with inexpensive orthotic inserts. Overall, this is a shoe that I have already bought twice, and would certainly buy again.

It's rare to find shoes to fit my 15W feet,but I'm a Zappos-Rockport fan since buying these shoes. They're well made of quality materials, fit comfortably and are great for dressy-casual wear-- slacks or jeans. I appreciate Zappos' convenient free shipping (both ways, if I needed to return the shoes). I'm very happy with Zappos & Rockport.

Husband needed a pair of shoes that were casual enough to travel with and use for sightseeing. These fit the bill! Comfortable out of the box and met my style requirements. He wears between 8-8.5 and W. In this shoe he needed the 8.5.

This is my second pair, first set purchased over 4 years ago and still have. I have worn them on a regular basis at work (teacher) as well for casual wear with jeans and kakis. They are exceedingly durable while still looking good after lots of hard use. One of the greatest shoes I have ever had.

Fit true to size. Appears to be made of quality materials.

Put them on when they came in and wore them very comfortably all day long. Broke my foot a year ago and my feet are very sensitive. Couldn't be happier. Earlier I bought this same shoe in another color and they are both totally comfortable for all-day wear.

Great shoe wears well and very comfortable. The quality of the leather is excellent. Looks brand new after a lot of wear in the past couple weeks in all kinds of weather . Very pleased with this purchase.

I have been purchasing theses shoes for some years now. It has been quite comfortable. However , my last purchase in Jan 2017 had some issue. I believe and fully feel that left shoe is not of the size that I am used to. the left shoe is smaller in width than right shoe . I order and use #8 4E width. it did hurt my pinky toe. I had to keep on using my old pair of same model and size shoe . I have been using the new pair hoping that I it will break in but No luck after using it for the last 6 months or so. ordered new and different shoes now.

These were the only shoes I took for a 5-week tour of Europe. Walked an average of 7 miles a day. Shoes looked good everywhere from casual to dressy. Very happy with choice.

This is a great shoe for everyday wear. It is supportive, lightweight, and flexible. Best of all, it does not look like it's a rugged, supportive shoe as some others do. It's the shoes of choice for my husband.

This is a good long wearing shoe. We must special order my husband's shoes as he has a large side foot. Zappos is the only place we can trust to get what we have ordered each and every time. Wish extra shoe laces were available. Delivery is prompt and sales people are considerate and most helpful.

Rockports are usually very comfortable, but this shoe hurts my heels.

I bought these as a replacement pair for a pair that my husband has completely worn out! He loved them right out of the box! I have to say, as a 55 year old woman, I do not find them too stylish, but it is what he wanted, so...

These shoes are fantastic. I read several reviews and people weren't kidding, these shoes can hold up well! I ordered these shoes for a 2 week trip to England. I walked about 4-5 miles everyday and hiked/climbed a mountain side for 5 miles in these shoes and they were great. Held up to rain, wind, dirt, rock with no problem. The other times that I was standing on my feet they continued to provide comfort. If you want a great walking shoe, touring Europe shoe, this is it.

Comfortable, but oh-my-goodness clunky. Why is that comfortable walking shoes have to be so darn ugly? Wife saw these and said she wouldn't stand next me in "those geezer shoes."

Husband has worn Rockports for years. Light and comfortable and they look good. Hard to find any other shoe that compares.
