I purchased this shoe for the style and looks. I was some what hesitant as Rockport's can be sketchy in quality for the price. Yep, sure enough the inner lining is cheap feeling poly crap. Wearing them outside you feel the cold penetrating right through. The Lugz I purchased last year are a much superior shoe for less money. No value here!

Ugh -- the shoes felt stiff, too big and uncomfortable for even few minutes. The style was also a disappointment.

Well, I have only been wearing these for about 3 weeks, so we'll see how they hold up. So far so good! I'm rating these as average because it's too early to tell.

Reviewed at Rockport
I have a fairly wide foot which causes me to select certain brands. Rockport usually fits my wide foot. The classic fits my width but rides slightly higher than my other Rockports. This height causes a sore spot on my ankle even with heel pads placed inside. The shoes will take some getting used to but I'm confident they will eventuall break in nicely. This shoe has a finish texture that looks casual dressy while providing a comfort similar to a sneaker. Overall I would recommend Rockports because of their usually consistent fit and value.

After eight months of semi-regular wear to work, the cushioning became ineffective and the shoes were painful to wear. Even comfort inserts were not enough to remedy the issue.

Tight and uncomfortable. Ordered 10.5 4E and another brand in a 3E, other brand great out of the box.

Have a pair of these from years ago that New pair was tighter and felt a huge bump under the ball of my foot in these. Took the pad out and still could feel the bump. Was worst in the right shoe. Don't know what they did but won't be buying this style again. Great service from Zappos.

These are great shoes, the only problem is that they seem to wear out too fast - I do a lot of walking and they get funky on my feet before the soles wear out. I think they need a stronger fiber insert in the base.

I spent a heavy day walking and going up and down stairs at work, feet hurt so bad I had take the Rockports off. They are lacking arch support! I would return them if I could, but after a heavy 3 hours using stairs, they are already worn.

I bought a pair of these a few years ago and wore them out. The new ones are not nearly as well made. The outer material is more susceptible to stains and it is taking a lot of time to break them in. I've only worn them a few days over the past 3 weeks so I haven't given up. The Rockports I've owned before were walker's shoes so this pair has disappointed me so far.

Nice looking. These were shipped very quickly but they run at least one size narrower than advertised.

I was disappointed. They were okay for casual wear but not for walking. I found them to be too high, rubbing my ankles. Walking any distance became uncomfortable.

I was disappointed in the World Tour Classic. Aside from my running shoes, I have worn nothing but Rockport for over 25 years, so I'm sold on the company. But these are the least comfortable Rockport shoes I've owned. The fit is good, but even my dress shoes are more comfortable for walking and standing. There is not as much cushioning as any of the other Rockports I've ever owned, and when walking, the transition from heel to toe is clunky. This is quite surprising, since it is being touted specifically as a walking shoe. I was looking for something new to wear with khakis at the office, but it looks like I'll be going back to the Rockport Northfields that I've worn for the last couple of years. Those are far more comfortable, better for walking, and dressier, too.

So so. The shoes are good looking and generally comfortable. But the tongue jabs into my ankle, so much that it hurts. Luckily I noticed that the tongue has slots in it for the laces, and the shoes came with the laces already guided thru those slots. I re-laced the shoes without using the slots, so that the tongue is not forced so much against my ankle. Now they are bearable. If they would just lop about a quarter inch off the top of the tongue, these shoes would be a lot better.

I have been wearing this shoe style for several years and the last two pairs I bought were about a 1/2 size smaller and certainly much more narrow. I had to return the last pair for a 1/2 size bigger. I know my feet are not any larger as other brands still fit correctly in my size. Why is Rockport "downsizing" their shoes?

Will not work with orthotics - There is a thick removable insole. Unfortunately the way the shoe is designed once you remove the insole there is a small lip along the side of the shoe that will not be comfortable unless the orthotic is thicker. I have a thick orthotic and it was not high enough. Too bad they didn't design the inside better. Nice shoe for casual wear with a very soft leather.

Not as comfortable as I thought - I had a very high expectation from all the reviews I read on this site. But I don't feel too comfortable wearing these. I've been wearing this pair on a daily basis but it's not getting any better. Maybe it's not for me. If possible, I want to return these and get more comfortable pair.

Rockport has changed - For more than 15 years, I’ve always bought Rockports. For their comfort, support, quality, etc. But since Reebok bought them, the quality and most importantly the comfort, has changed for the worse. After walking two miles in these, I ended up with two large blisters on the top of my big toes. This having worn this exact same model for many years. Unfortunately, I won’t be buying and more Rockports. After researching the hundreds of options on Zappos, I decided to branch out and try the Merrell Jungle Moc. WOW. These are by far the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn! Very supportive, wide toe box and ultra comfortable. They are highly recommended! Rockports…not so much.

It has been a few years since I owned Rockports and I am very disappointed with the comfort of these shoes. It feels like they are made of wood with no cushion in the foot bed. I immediately purchased a set of gel insoles which have helped some, but things are still far from ideal. So much for my memory of the comfortable Rockports of old. I guess this is just another example of the cheapening of everything we buy these days. I wouldn't pay half price for these shoes in the future.

Unglued - Sole on one shoe came apart after about 2 weeks of use. Replacement shoes ok so far with 3 weeks of use.

Very cool! While I haven't worn them much yet as it is 12 degrees outside right now, around the house these shoes are very comfortable. They seem very well made and I can't wait for warmer weather to show them off!

Too wide - This shoe runs much wider than marked. I bought a 7.5D, and it's got to be at least a EE. I have to wear bulky sox to keep my feet from swimming around inside the shoe and the shoestring eyelets pull completely together. The shoe runs wide in the midfoot, such that there is very little arch support. It runs wide in the rear, such that there is very little heel and ankle support. Finally, the woven rope style shoe laces refuse to stay tight; I finally gave up and replaced them…The heel liner is starting to separate where the stitching is coming undone. Otherwise, these are decent, durable and attractive shoes that are worth their price, however, I do not intend to buy another pair.

Great Company - Just an Odd Crease - A wonderful company that I continue to use. This model, however, has a terrible way of cutting across the top of the foot. Too painful to use. Will try other Rockport models that I completely enjoy.

Comfortable! This shoe is very comfortable. It feels just like a slipper when you wear them. But just like the slipper, it has no arch support. For short walks this shoe is just fine. For longer walks, your dogs will be whimpering due to the total lack of arch support. The quality of the sole is very rugged; however, I was disappointed with the leather uppers as they are very flimsy. Overall, just an average shoe. For the money, you would do well to buy another shoe.

Comfort lacking - A beautiful shoe but seriously lacks lasting support. I walk a lot on my job and my feet started to hurt after only a week. I recommend these for short periods of activity. The rockport blackville that I own are far superior for lasting comfort.
