The toe box on these is smaller than in the past and the leather does not seem as supple. Rockport really dropped the ball when they redesigned these. I used to be able to wear these and now I can't.

We have purchased this shoe in the past that were made in Vietnam. They were true to size. The new pair are made in India and the M (D) width felt too narrow. After reordering and XW (4E), the sole measured within 1/8 inch of the same width. There should be a difference of 11/16 inch in width. It appears that the same production line used for all widths.

This is my 3rd pair and will be my last. Even with getting a larger size makes then too tight. Impossible to get on and laces are too short. Would not recommend purchasing on line. need to be fit in a store.

Bought these on line about a week ago, and they don't seem as roomy in the toe box with my orthotics in as Rockports usually are, even though they're wide width. Still hoping that they'll get more comfortable once they're broken in. Next time, I'll probably buy in store, so that I can try them on.

These Rockports have changed a bit over the years. A 9W used to be perfect, but these were a little tight. I will send them back and try again.

Look like a nice shoe, but the oddest Rockport fit I’ve ever had- and Rockport is my go-to brand. Usually, without fail I’m an 11 in Rockports, took these out of the box and they felt like Cruel Shoes (Steve Martin reference). On their way back for a bigger size.

I've been wearing these for decades. However, the most recent purchase had to be returned/replaced due to incorrect sizing. I ordered 10 EW. Those I received were marked that size BUT the soles measured 1/4" less in all directions than my current shoes and exactly the same as some 9-1/2's I should have returned 10 years ago. So I've asked for 10-1/2's. We will see. . .
In the past I had noticed that there was a size difference between the glossy and the buck finished shoes. This should not be the case.
My wish list is that they would offer factory insoles for these shoes. The originals wear out long before the shoes and nobody's replacement insoles fit correctly and provide the same support.

I purchased 3pairs of Rockport world touring elite sneakers in the past 2 years this pair. World touring is just not as comfortable as those

I'm just not a fan. I read the reviews and thought I would give them a try. I've had them a year now and still don't really like them. The soles are very stiff!

I have been wearing the Pro Walker for years and decided to try this shoe for a change, plus I like the color (which is not available in the Pro Walker). I bought the shoe in my usual size (11W), which was the correct size except that there was insufficient room to accommodate my custom orthotics. They were so tight, I could not tie the laces. The length and width seemed to be okey, just not enough vertical room inside the shoe. I had to return the shoes and exchange them for my Pro Walkers.

I have had good experiences with Rockport previously. I was surprised when I received them, replaced the insole with my orthotics, put them on, and found that the tongue wasn't even long enough to go past the laces when tied, short a good half an inch. When paying $100 for a pair of lace-up shoes, I would expect a longer tongue. Somewhere along the line, Rockport's quality control missed these, unless they are all like this.

Tried these shoes on a second time. Did not feel comfortable at all. I must have higher arches than I thought based on the arch support said here, because it felt like there was NO support.

I bought these shoes about a month ago and have worn them almost daily for my two mile walk. My shoe size is 9N. The toe box is roomy but I had to add lifts so that the ankle collar did not rub my ankles raw.

I love the looks of lockport. I used to wear their walking shoes for miles and miles. Then one day I went to replace them and the fit was terrible. The same style and size. They must have changed their supplier. They rubbed my heel badly. I let it heal put the old ones and tread again. I tried padding, tying them differently but to no avail. It seemed the rear of the shoe was rock hard. I tried to give them away but eventually threw out a new pair of shoes.

These shoes like nice but I have to buy a longer pair of shoe strings to wear them. The shoe strings that come with them are way to short to properly tie.

Oh, these shoes. I really want to love them. They look like the Clark's that I had such a hard time tracking down lately and seem to have soles that last. The problem is that they're just not as comfortable as people think they are. I had to switch out the insole right away because the sole of my foot was pressing down strangely on these. They do seem to handle the rain well which I like, so I guess I'm torn on whether to recommend buying them. I wouldn't necessarily buy them again but I'm not going to return them.

I have bought this particular shoe many times without any trouble. This time, I found that the toe area is narrower than the previous shoes. Since this is the largest size, I may have to find a new source for shoes.

Pros:
Substantial cushioning
Thick shoes
Cons:
Very short laces
Narrower than advertised
Somewhat uncomfortable
Not stylish
I normally wear either a normal or wide shoe and I decided to buy these in wide. Despite that, they are still narrow and that detracts a lot from the comfort. I like that they have so much cushioning on the bottom and the thickness of the sides gives it a more durable feel but they aren't very flexible. That quality can cause pinching or abrasiveness. Despite my hopes for the shoes when I put them on I feel like they'd look more appropriate on a senior citizen. Lastly, the laces are ridiculously short. To get them tied you have to pull the laces very tight so you sacrifice comfort for tied laces.
All in all these aren't bad shoes but the comfort isn't what you'd expect and minor things like the short laces and inaccurate sizing detract from what could have been great shoes.

I really liked the style, fit, comfort and overall daily performance of this shoe, but it fails in wearability. I purchased a pair of Rockport World Tour Classics in March 2016. By November 2016, the sole on one shoe started to delaminate and the shoe strings were already fraying out. I would give these shoes five stars if they were more durable, but unfortunately have to give them three at best. Too bad! Years ago, Rockport wearability was outstanding, but cheap sole materials now make for a mediocre shoe.

I have worn the Rockport WT Classic exclusively for over 25 years now and I have always loved the style and comfort of the shoe until my most recent pair, purchased just a few weeks ago. When I first put them on and for the first few wearings, this pair seemed especially thin and non-supportive on the soles but I just chalked that up to being new. Now, after a little more use, they are still abnormally uncomfortable on the soles, even after buying sole inserts. I am really re-thinking now about what my next shoe purchase will be.

The shoe is satisfactory with the exception of the tongue which protrudes so high that it juts into the front of leg at ankle level. I'll have to have it shortened as it causes too much pain. I would imagine that shoe had been returned by another customer as it looked a bit scared and had been laced up to next to the top (maybe they had trouble with the tongue length also). Zappos would do well to distinguish between 4E and EW, as the latter doesn't quite do the job.

This the second pair of Rockport World Tour shoes I have owned. The first were worn daily for work for 8 years and still look good, but the soles are quite worn. The new pair does not seem as heavy as the first pair. The insoles in the new shoes are like thin cardboard and will have to be replaced with something with better cushion. Time will tell if the second pair lasts as long as the first.

I agree with everyone that the shoe quality has gone way down. Sad because this used to be my favorite working shoe but no more. These shoes would last me 1-2 years but now I had them for 9 months and the inner sole is shot. Hopefully then can raise the price a little and go back to better quality.
