My husband needed a pair of boat shoes, and we both liked this style. He tried it in a range of sizes from 11 to 12, both mediums and wides. The 11 1/2 medium fit the best, but there was a little too much width in the heel. After trying these, along with similar styles from Sperry and Dunham, he finally found a pair that fit - Dockers Vargas style in 11 1/2 medium. For comparison, he usually wears a 12 wide New Balance.

My husband has very wide feet and it is hard to find comfortable shoes for him. He said that these are the most comfortable shoes he's had in years.

These will last a good long time and they are stylish enough to ware on the boat and out to a nice meal!

A friend showed me a photo taken in 1985. I was wearing this Rockport shoe at the time and probably a few years prior. It's the best boat shoe - ever. I have a narrow heel so my size is 12N. It may be just a little tighter than that but the shoe fits me perfectly. This time I chose the newer Beeswax color instead of Timber and I'm very pleased with it. A Perth shoe lasts me about three years. My newest is for dress wear. It's predecessor is demoted to casual wear. Then it's predecessor serves for yard work. I treat this shoe twice a year with Neatsfoot Oil (Wal-Mart) to darken the leather and help restore lost weatherproofing. FWIW - Rockport stopping selling Perth styles about ten years ago for several years. As example of a true cult following pairs were being offered on the Internet for $125-250 and they were selling too. Fortunately, I found two pairs in my size at a store in Maine just down the street from L. L. Bean and survived the drought. It's a great shoe and Zappos is the place to buy it even though hey now charge sales tax on mail orders.

I wear a 10.5 EEE shoe and the Rockport Ports of Call Perth boat shoes fit perfectly in size 10.5 XW. I usually wear then without socks, but a thin pair of socks also works comfortably. The leather construction makes your feel like you're walking in a custom tailored shoe. I just ordered my 2nd pair. I looked back in my ordering history and saw that my previous pair was purchased on 19 July 2011 (just over 7 years ago). The laces were getting thin and one of the soles finally gave out and split along the edges. I wear the heck out of them here in Florida -- lots of sun and sand -- but these past 3 months walking all over Italy finally did them in. I was happy to see that Rockport still makes them and Zappos still sells them -- the price of $109.95 was less that the $120 I paid for my 1st pair. With next-day delivery an free returns, you must give these Rockports a try if you're in the market for a quality pair of boat shoes with arch support.

These shoes have always been larger that the advertised size. I usually wear a 9 but have always bought this item in an 8. In the past, I bought medium width, but my feet have spread. The 8Wide is now perfect.

The fit is very good. I like the design of the lacing. I have a narrow heel. The extended lace around the heel helps to cinch the shoe more firmly at the heel. Once my feet heat up the shoe the leather becomes more flexible. These should ware very nicely over time. I am happy with the look and the construction.

this is my third pair . excellent fit and very comfortable. i use them as boot shoes didn't expect super arch.

I ordered this shoe for my husband who is 70 yrs. old. Although I don't think they like old men's shoes they do fit his wide, high arched feet, and he wears them a lot. He says they feel so comfortable. We had to place four orders before he figured out the length of the shoes was the problem not the width, now he is happy.

I have bought these shoes over and over and over again for many years. Great shoes and Zappos service is outstanding.

When I first put these on they were tight and uncomfortable. After an evening of wearing them, they began to feel better. The more I wear them, the more comfortable they feel. They are light weight (typical of Rockport). The look is casual.

This is the third pair of Rockports that I have purchased. The shoes are great, especially for those with a narrow foot.

I have wide feet and these boat shoes are comfortable and well made. I wear them on the weekend but they could pass for a dressier shoe.

I bought these 4E width shoes for my husband. They were too narrow. After speaking with a very responsive REAL person about returning them for a wider width, the return was seamless and the 6E pair we ordered came the next day and was perfect!! Very rarely can we find a pair that is perfect at the outset - my husband is thrilled with the purchase! The customer service, return, and reorder was just unbelievable. Incidentally, the UPS truck was delivering a package to my neighbor and gladly took my return, saving me a trip to Staples. Thank you Zappos for a great shoe purchase!!!

Bought these shoes for my husband. He was so happy that they came in X-Wide. Shoes are extremely comfortable and well made!

Really, really nice boat shoes, and Zappo's customer service is the best! First pair was too small; they overnighted the next larger size at no extra charge, and without waiting for the return! The larger size was a perfect fit for me. If they hold up like the reviews say they will - and I have no reason to think they won't - I won't ever look for a better boat shoe when they do need replacement. I'm boat shoe home! Thanks Zappos!

First time purchase. I have cancer and my feet swell at times due to the chemo therapy. I took a chance these boating shoes would be appropriate for the office and provide the comfort I needed. It paid off. With or without the swelling which is not extreme, these fit well and are comfortable. Rockport earned a customer.

I have been purchasing these and other shoes from Zappos for many years and could not be more pleased with their service. Even when I had to return one pair because of fit, the service was outstanding. Zappos is clearly customer service oriented and they will continue to get my business in the future.

Shoes look great, sizing is fine, I am having trouble breaking them in especially my little toes. The raw leather on the inside rubs my toes making a hot spot. Once I finish breaking them in they should be great. The style is timeless. The sole appears to be longer lasting than my previous brand, they only lasted three months.

This is my fourth pair of these in about twenty years, so it should be obvious that I think they are great. They are my everyday shoe. I like the style and the way that they mold to my feet. They get replaced when my wife tells me the pair I am wearing has become too unsightly to wear in public. (I still have all three previous pairs.) I think the sizing may be a little off. I ordered the exact size and width of the last pair, 9 Medium. The pair I got were too small. Thanks to Zappos' return policy, I received a replacement pair of 9.5 in two days and the UPS delivery man took the return package when he dropped these off. Overall a very good experience.
