WX608 - This shoe is a replacement of my old 600 which I actually like a bit more. The 608 give me support and cushioning, but it seems a bit wider than the 600.

New Balance 608 - I've worn New Balance shoes for work for 4 years and love the support and fit generally. This is the second time I've had the 608. This shoe needs to be worn for awhile before it is comfortable for me, even though I get the wide width. It feels more like a medium width, so by the end of the day, I'm ready to take them off. The service from Zappos was great!

Hard to find a good fit - I felt that these shoes could have been just a little more snug. The right fits better than the left shoe for some reason, but it could be my hard to fit feet. They are comfortable, but I feel that if they made an 11 1/2, it would fit me much better, but ‘til then… Thanks Zappos for a great company that makes it easy for me to shop for my hard to find size and fit!

Great mid top shoe! A great mid top shoe - especially since they seem to be going extinct these days. I ordered a second pair after the first worked out so well. Great for fitness classes (kickboxing, step aerobics, etc).

Good athletic shoe for narrow feet... I have a very narrow foot, skinny and bony. I first ordered a 2A in this shoe; too narrow. I then ordered a medium...perfect! I would say this shoe runs narrow. I was surprised to find this 608 model at all, as I was told it had been replaced. This model is the best athletic shoe I have ever owned. Very supportive, and you can add orthotics. Zappos service is phenomenal! Highly recommend the company. Orders and returns are handled swiftly.

New Balance Crosstraining shoes - I noticed that these shoes are somewhat tight, however, they are extremely comfortable.

Old Favorite - When I heard the "608" was being discontinued, I bought a pair, due to the fact I had previously owned a pair that I refused to discard them for probably 5 years! Then tried a different brand...NOT the same! (You get what you pay for!) The sizing was good and arch support was perfect for me. The toes are a bit tight, but that will work itself out. Great shoe & super fast delivery by Zappos!

Takes a while to break in - I had this style shoe in a 1/2 size smaller and after two kids, needed to go a little bigger. The bigger size seems really big. They are stiffer than I remember my first pair being. So, I'm still breaking them in. I also have a narrow foot, and even in the narrow size, I have to lace them pretty tightly.

Worth buying - I tried this shoe in several different sizes before I finally got the right fit. If you have a narrow foot probably still better to get the B width. It really runs narrow. The shoe is a bit stiff and even after wearing it several times it still is a bit stiff. Not my most favorite tennis shoe I ever owned, but it was the best for the price that I could find at this time.

Comfortable - These were my 1st pair of NB and I owned them for 4 years until I finally threw them away because they were so dirty. I found this shoe to be very comfortable. A little narrow through the toe but stretched out after being worn 3 or 4 times. I am working on my second pair and I just ordered a third. I hope NB does not discontinue this product. Zappos is a fabulous company. Love the overnight delivery. I buy all of my shoes from this site.

These are very cute shoes. I love the look and the support underneath my foot. However, I always order a B width and have never had a problem, until I received these shoes. I've tried breaking them in, but they are simply too tight across the top of my foot. Sadly, I am returning them for something else.

Thick, unyielding shoe - This New Balance WX608 is very comfortable, but as I like my shoes laces tight, this shoe is a disappointment. It took a lot of effort, because of the stiffness of the shoe to lace it tightly and then once I got it there it got looser quickly. Nevertheless, the shoe really has great arch support and is good for the overpronator with strong arms to keep it tied as you want it!

Rebecca's Review - As a nurse, I find the 608 New Balance is superb. It takes just a little break-in time, but well worth it. New Balance holds up well, they're well made, and are comfortable enough to wear for 8 hours on duty. The 608s are what I look for. (This is my 3rd pair) They have the support I need, and due to their construction, they hold up well, and look good with today's nursing uniforms. I need a wide width, so they take a little break-in time, but, I consider the New Balance 608 an excellent shoe. AND, they are recommended by many podiatrists and orthopedic people for their patients. Thanks!!

Too fat! New Balance is my favorite athletic shoe, and I like an all-leather upper as they wear better for my general wearing. This style felt thick and cumbersome and did not fit my 9-1/2 B width foot. I also felt the shoe felt heavy for its design. Would recommend you order this shoe 1/2 size larger and the fit is more narrow than marked. It is well-made and with these adjustments would be fine.

Wore 12 hours first day. Nice shoe, comfortable after putting heel pads in, for me the heel was too wide, the rest of the shoe is great and I work in them 12 hrs at a time. Recommend this shoe for expected toe box, width, length and style.

It's pretty good - I like it. Comfortable and roomy inside. Doesn't need much breaking in.

Great sneaker for walking - This is my second pair of 608's. They are sturdy and can accommodate added orthodics if needed. I have narrow feet and I order one size larger for walking, especially going down hill so my toe is not forced forward. Great shoe.

Cardio shoes - I bought these shoes for the gym as the W609's I had are no longer available, plus I thought I needed to go up a half-size from my street shoe size. Thus the 7.5N, which fit well and are very comfortable. For some reason however my feet go to sleep on the treadmill, even in this shoe. Don't know what's up with that, but I don't think it's the shoes. I'm grateful for the selection in narrow widths in New Balance!

Shoes for comfort - Received these shoes. Comfort is great. Appearance is that they appear to be.

No arch support! My best friend swears by New Balance shoes, and I've always had good luck with New Balance in the past, so I ordered these for myself. I was disappointed when I tried them on to find they had NO arch support. Not only did it feel like my feet were standing flat on the ground, but the sides of my foot were pinched. I have slightly wider than average fronts of my feet, but a normal heel width, so I have to get average width to make sure the heels don't slip. I really wish these would have worked for me.

Too hot to handle - Good looking shoe, but toe box is too tight. The medium width too tight, the wide width too loose and the worst of it is the shoe is so hot; I had to take them off after 20 minutes.

Second Review - I posted an earlier review for this shoe when I had to return it for a much wider width. Normally, I wear a 6B, but returned this shoe for a 6D. I walk very hard and fast, both on my job (on concrete floors) and in my neighborhood (3-5 miles every day). This shoe is STILL a little tight across the toe area. It is so cute that I have chosen to keep it for normal wear, when I'm not working or exercising. It doesn't bother me when shopping, etc. But, if you are considering this shoe for work or exercise, think hard before ordering. I should also mention that I have a high instep, which might contribute to the problems I have with this shoe.
