Bought a pair thinking they would be comfortable tied them up really tight but still got blisters on my heels. The Heel is very hard on these shoes and I cannot wear them so I have wasted my money and am very disspointed that they hurt my heels so much.

Like other reviews I have just read, I am so disappointed that these are now made of "synthetic leather" (as you call it). I call it plastic. I have worn these shoes for years but the pair I purchased last fall fit tighter (I had to buy the wide instead or regular width as previously purchased) and they did not last nearly as long. When I went to the store to buy a replacement pair this week I discovered the "synthetic leather" tag, and now know this is the reason. I talked to the store manager and he was shocked - he wasn't even aware that they were no longer real leather. You have lost a long time customer.

Last year before I went on my vacation, I decided to purchase a new pair of my Reebok Princess shoes. I have purchased these shoes for 30 years. I used to love these shoes and basically throw away the box immediately after purchase. I purchased the shoe from a local retail store threw the box away and placed them in my suitcase for my trip. I could not figure out why my favorite shoes were uncomfortable, hot and did not have any arch support in them. When I returned home from my vacation I did a little research online and found that they are now making these shoes (and many others in their line up) with plastic. They really cannot call them classics anymore. There is no information posted inside the shoes that they are all man made material - and all glued in place. I am so disappointed as these were my favorite and most worn shoes. I cannot believe that they cannot make these shoes in leather anymore. Just try and find one! I am very sad. I would pay more if they made them in leather. Just try and find white leather shoes in this day and age! Please change the shoes back to the original versions!

I have worn these shoes for years and my latest purchase is a huge disappointment. I agree with someone else who has commented on the changes in these shoes. They are smaller sized than they used to be, for starters. I had to exchange them (thanks, Zappos, for a quick exchange!) for half a size larger and am thinking about exchanging them again for another half size larger. They do not have the terry cloth lining that these shoes have always had. This will probably be my last purchase of these shoes and I will be looking for a new brand, which I hate to do!

I have been wearing the Reebok Princess for decades, and was excited to get a pair from my friend for Christmas. But to my dismay, Reebok has decided to construct Princess out of a synthetic material now, instead of leather as they had been making it for decades. I do not wear, and will not wear vinyl, or synthetic shoes, and will be returning these. (Synthetic does not allow your foot to breathe, and could be very uncomfortable especially in a shoe/sneaker made for activity). Shame on you Reebok. Interesting too, the price is not any lower. Also, what's with the floating or stick on tags that tells what material the sneaker is made out of? Usually this information is printed on the sneaker, and not on a removable tag... All this is very suspect about Reebok as a company now.

Bring back the Princess quality of 20 years ago It wasn't until I started reading these reviews that I found out the Princess style is no longer made of leather. It was a few years ago that my friend went to buy a replacement pair and found out they no longer had an arch support. She bought a pair but they are collecting dust in her closet. I bought a pair on-line hoping that they were old stock and had an arch. They did not. So I solved that problem by buying some gel arches; sewing some thin t-shirt material around it and gluing them in the shoes. It isn't as good as what Reeboc offered many years ago but it is working. I don't know what I will do when this pair needs to be replaced. I care too much about my feet to encase them in anything but leather. Nor do I want anything multicolored with more tread than my car tires. I used to buy these shoes about once per year. I had them in black and white. The new ones were worn to work and around town. When they showed signs of wear I bought a new pair and used the old ones on foul weather days, then to riding my bike and finally yard chores. In my opinion lack of arch support is the number one cause of achy feet, back legs, and a multitude of foot problems. Why ruin what was the perfect product?

Started wearing these shoes in 1994 when going on a trip to London - was told I could walk all day and all night in comfort! That was so true, so bought many over the years in black/white. The new replacement is synthetic leather, narrow, and most importantly does not have the built-in arch support that just "hugs" your arch. Most comfortable shoes ever made in their original form. Recently have been to ortho doc, PCP, PT - etc., for knee/hip/back issues. Found my "old" black Princess shoes and received almost immediate relief! In every doctor's office and hospital I have been in, the nurses and others working there, constantly say they miss the original Princess more than anything else for their comfort working all day. Please "resurrect' the original style! Thanks.

Hi, I have used at least one pair of reebook princess every year since approx 1990. I have been in love with them; soft, nice, perfect to my thin feet. Now the upper is made of plastic... They are not nice at all. I'm willing to pay more to get leather and the great feeling back. Please make the upper of leather again!!! I do not know how to survive without them;)!

Terrible. This shoe is not composed of leather any more, but is synthetic. They are hot and not true to size, and the arch support is gone. There is no flexibility or breaking in period, and they're like wearing stiff, unyielding boxes. Buyer beware! Reebok is manufacturing a sub par product to cut their costs on your dime.

Dear Reebok, I am so very disappointed that you have stopped making the Princess shoe in leather and are now making them in a synthetic/plastic material. The shoes are no longer comfortable. I have also noticed that the cushioning materials used on the inside have become more and more sparse over the years. The Princess used to be an awesome shoe and now merely looks like the original great design but, in fact, is not. Please bring back the original design made of leather and made with plenty of cushioning on the inside. This truly used to be an exceptional shoe.

I was so disappointed to hear that your princess shoes have changed. They were one of only 2 brands that I could wear comfortably. Several years ago, I was given a pair that were too tight to wear in the winter with my thick socks, but fit perfectly in the summer. A couple of years later, I realized that they had stretched enough to fit in the winter, also. I wore them for several years, even when the shoe showed more and more wear, because they were so comfortable and I couldn't find the princess at several of the stores where I shop. I decided to check online, and I am so glad that I read the reviews. I wanted the shoe that I had before. My motto has always been: "If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it." Apparently, Reebok doesn't live by the same motto.

I've worn these shoes for about 30 yrs., 12 months of the year. They were like you were walking on air. Great instep, soft breathable leather, felt better than my indoor slippers. NOT anymore! Now they're crummy plastic shoes with no instep & fell like walking on concrete. I WON'T be buying these again until Reebok goes back to making them the way they use to. I'm not at all happy that I'm being forced to go in search of a comfortable shoe, whoever the manufacturer may be.

I was talked into buying these shoes at a Rebook outlet store with the assurance that they would loosen up like the classic shoes I always buy. After two months of aching feet and sore toes these shoes went into the bin. I've never hated a pair of shoes more.

Unfortunately the shoes are slightly smaller than usual. Also the uppers are made with synthetic material. Normally I would be saying how great these shoes are. These shoes are going back not comfortable at all sad the old saying if it is not broken don't fix it. Do not buy these shoes great disappointment.

The real lether one was smooth across the toe, so lightweight and easy to wear- the perfect- ther WAS none other like it! Please bring back the real leather PRINCESS!!!! And if I can 'design one' why cant I design a Princess with the former REAL LEATHER?

This shoe has been my go to shoe since i was 14 years old and I am 44 yrs old. It was a nice solid classy shoe that could be worn with jeans, shorts and went with every day to day outfit now it's just junk plastic. The leather was so soft and molded perfectly to my foot, I never felt sweaty or constricted in them. I am sad to find they are no longer leather and the construction quality has deteriorated so drastically. I recently went to purchase another pair online and have found so many negative reviews that I too am looking for a replacement shoe provider. Why would you mess with a product that has been a solid staple in women's wardrobe for generations? This is a classic shoe for classic styles, good luck keeping up in the competitive marketing for trendy shoes. Helpful information gathered from the reviews I have read, a good many of us would pay more to have 'our' shoe returned to original styling and quality materials. Bring back the REAL Princess please!

Bought two pairs over a year ago, but returned them. Despite being advertised as "leather uppers", they are in fact man-made uppers, and are not soft or comfortable and don't have the appearance of leather. But I notice that Reebok still have not changed the description of the Princess shoe. They are still being advertised as soft leather uppers, which they know is untrue.

I have worn this style for years. The last pair I ordered online because I could not find locally at all. I had to be on a waiting list and was sooo excited when they arrived, but it was shortlived. They are too tight, hurt my toes, seem shorter (my old ones fit better), and the arch seems to have changed. I have tried wearing them anyway, thinking maybe I just needed to break them in a little as they always were a bit snug at first but eventually stretched (typical of leather). These are clearly not leather. I tried on shoes in December when a local store got some in, and was horrified that I could not even FIT into the next size up!!!! (I am a 6-1/2, and kept trying sizes--an 8 kept my toes from hitting the end, but the arch was WAAAY wrong in that size.) WHAT HAS REEBOK DONE?????? The sad part is, this is the only shoe I could wear that helped me not have back and hip pain. I am lost and devastated and soooooo tired of hurting. Reebok has lost my business entirely. I am not a neon shoe wearer--doesn't work in my work environment at all. I have to have white or black professional-looking shoes.

I have been wearing the Princess for decades, In the past 2 months I bought new ones at 2 different well known stores and returned both pairs. After wearing them for a week in my house, the usual snug fit did not loosen up and start molding to my feet. as the old pairs did. My toes felt cramped in the toe box area and there is no arch support. Then my knees began to ache after wearing them. I went online today to see if other women were having problems or was it just me.. Much to my disgust I found out that they are synthetic. I love to walk and now after all these decades I have to find another shoe., I am disgusted!!!

As another reviewer wrote, the Princess has changed dramatically. The Reebok Princess was a shoe that I have worn since the 1980's. I loved them so much that when I hit a sale or a great deal on eBay, I would purchase them and stockpile them in my closet, waiting for the eventual demotion of my current pair to "garden shoes." The new materials are simply awful. The leather is no longer leather, and it does not mold to one's foot. The terry is synthetic, and to be blunt, one's feet now stink after being in a pair of these shoes for any amount of time. I am disturbed by the failure of Reebok to make its style and material changes known. This shouldn't even be called a Princess. I used to purchase Princess Supremes, which gave you color choices for the terry lining. I've had red, navy, white, and lavender. Where are all those Reeboks now? Cluttering up a landfill. My most recent pair went there with nary a scuff on them. I couldn't donate them because after only one wearing, the stench was unpleasant (I am a barefoot shoe wearer). It was a very very good run. I am sorry that Reebok has chosen to go cheap (not to be confused with inexpensive). I am done, and I am sad.
I'd also recommend:
Nothing compares to this shoe. New Balance & Brooks are new choices due to materials.
