Really great shoe. Classic styling, you can definitely dress it up or down. I get compliments on mine (Beeswax Leather) all the time. Also, this is my first pair of desert boots and I was a bit wary about the fit and comfort, but These shoes are well constructed and they hold to your forefoot and cup your heel comfortably with just the simple lace. Other reviews about ordering smaller than your normal size are definitely accurate. Personally, I wear a 12 in most brands (rarely an 11.5). I ordered mine in a 10.5 US and they fit perfectly, so I'd say order one full size or more down. Also, these are probably not best for you if you normally wear wide width shoes. My feet are definitely not narrow, but My father tried mine on and they were a bit too snug (He normally wears EE width shoes).

I get a ton of mileage with these boots. They look great with khakis or jeans, and very comfy.

These are awesome shoes. My boyfriend loved them immediately and has not taken them off since he got them. The color is great-- neutral and classy. The shoes were wearable right out the box. A classic shoe!

I absolutely love my Desert Boots. I have had the same pair for over a year now, and I try my hardest to abuse them. I am a runner and these are my shoes of choice. I am fully aware that each shoe is no more than five pieces of leather loosely sewn together with a recycled rubber sole (which is extremely comfortable without the need for arch support), but I love them. No shoe allows you to be more true to yourself.

These go with everything! Make sure you get some colored laces to make them pop. They do run large. I recommend ordering a full size smaller.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. He already owns a pair of Clarks Wallabee's so I thought I'd get him something different. He likes the style and the comfort.

Great shoe. Love the look. Not the most comfortable for extensive walking but great day to day.

Sweet shoe period. Awesome color, fit, feel, and ultimately the look. I normally wear a 10-10.5 and got the 9.5, they fit like a glove. I can't wait to break them in some more as they will get better looking. Picture does not do this shoe justice, and they are not real wide, so they don't look like big boats on your feet, great classy boot w a swag edge. Love them

I ordered a size smaller like other reviewers suggested but found that my foot was wider than theirs. I sent the boots back and had a new pair on my feet quicker than I expected. The boots are great, very minimal and comfortable, and the sole is surprisingly grippy. Great boots, terrific customer service!

How many shoes do you know of that you can tie to your life's experience for nearly five decades? If there is a shoe/boot which is trans-generational, ultimately it's Clarks' timeless Desert Boot. From my time in high school, having escaped a 3-year exile in military school, through the hippie days in college and sadly a few trips to jail for protesting the Vietnam War, the Desert Boot worked well as I held my ground in my youth. Later in the 1980s they returned and became the shoes I put on immediately after my Asics running shoes I wore in the thick of triathlon training and racing. Now twenty years down the road, I've changed slightly but not the Clarks Desert Boots. Time to give 'em another go in my more mature years, especially since the whole rest of the world has decided something I knew all along, they're totally cool!

These boots are for the laid back, chill, slip on, slip off, run to the grocery store or a stroll down the street to the friendly neighborhood "meeting place" type of dude like myself! Comfortable fit & "too cool for school" look. Zappos, Gracias!

Been to many parts of the world - I just ordered my second pair! They do require some breaking in but once you do they are one of those pairs of shoes you never want to let go! I travel for a living aka Sailing on Tall Ships and wore them for my work day, they are great for a night out or regular use but if you spent a lot of time on your feet I would recommend getting inserts for the extra support. These boots look great with everything I wear and seem to be a good conversation starter. If you are new to the Clarks brand I would highly recommend you buy this as your first purchase.. you won't be disappointed!

These shoes are great. I ordered them & the first pair I got, the lining was peeling up on the inside. I could have gotten insoles, but I wanted well-made shoes. Ordered an 11.5, usually wear a 12.

Great looking shoes, pretty comfortable. Planning on buying another pair in a darker color. Get some water proofing material and a suede brush if you don't already have them. These shoes can get dirty really fast.

This is my 2nd pair of desert boots by Clarks so I feel confident in saying they are most comfortable. However, there is a short breaking-in period, so be warned. It took about 4-5 "wears" before I knew I had made a wise decision. Enjoy and walk softly.

They run large; I usually need a 14 but the 13 fits me perfectly. Also, since they\'re kind of loose around the heel, don\'t wear thin socks and\/or do any serious walking in them or you\'re asking for blisters. They\'re pretty comfortable shoes for most situations, though, and their best quality is that they look terrific. Perfect casual style. The taupe suede is the best-looking option.
