Most comfortable - Actually, I found these shoes at a thrift store for about $5. I liked the looks -I'm a cashier at a grocery store and am on my feet all day. These shoes are roomy and the most comfortable shoes ever. If they eventually wear out, I'll buy another pair of Clarks.

Natureveldt customer testimony - I've owned my pair of Natureveldts for six years. As a former Peace Corps Volunteer, I wore them as one of my sole systems for transportation. Since I've worn them for so long, I've had to have the soles replaced. I found a company in Virginia called "Resole America" that carries the original Clarks sole. The replaced insert was not quite as comfortable as the original, but my Clarks have maintained their rugged, yet comfortable, reputation despite the change. I would highly recommend Clarks to anyone.

Flawless shoe. This is a fantastic pair of shoes. I wear orthotics, and finding shoes that meet my unique needs and look good at the same time is difficult. But these are tremendous. They have ample room in the toebox, but the heel fits snugly. The straight last is great for overpronators like me, and the lack of a built-up heel is a big plus. Also, the quality of the leather is outstanding. I wear these all the time: work, ball games, traveling, church, parties. The styling makes them appropriate for almost anything. I only wish I'd found these shoes years ago.

Great shoe but your wife will hate them I have had Clarks for years - they are the best shoes I've ever owned - very comfortable and very durable. Unforunately my wife thinks they're the ugliest ones made. That however, is not keeping me from buying another pair!

18 years and still the most comfotable shoes I own My mother bought me these shoes 18 years ago. A couple of months ago I found them in my closet and started wearing them again. Turns out they are the most comfortable shoes in my closet. The sole looks a bit different with bumps on the bottom yet they barely look like they have taken any near the wear that these have taken.

Fantastic shoes These are the best shoes, literally, I've ever owned. The price is high, but they MORE than make up for it with the lifespan. I will never buy anything else. Buy these, you won't be sorry. They look great, stay together well. The only thing that's ever worn out on mine are the laces.

No Equal! This is the best shoe I've ever owned. I was a bit hesitant to purchase, due to the high price, but it was well worth it. I would rather spend good money on a quality product that will last than toss a few bucks on some junk that will beat my feet. The construction is superior and the leather is beautiful. You could walk for 24 hours straight and not feel it. They're THAT comfortable. Invest in a pair, you won't regret it!

Long life! I've owned and used a pair of Chestnut Natureveldts for 17 years. I bought them in Oxford England. I especially enjoyed the sensible soles -different than the present design. They're great for the garden because dirt can easily be swept off. It did not have revases where in dirt could hide. I am sorry they abandoned the old design. I wear a size 11 now but these were 10 1/2, and because the the generous width that size was & still is great! It was European size 45, I don't know if it is medium or wide. I had them resoled, but I wouldn't do that again. The leather is wearing through finally, but they are still comfortable. I look forward to a new pair & am happy to find that Zappos carries them, I only wish they were at a discount price.

Finest and most comfortable shoes I've ever owned! I've been wearing shoes made by this shoemaker for over 20 years. A pair of these natureveldts in light tan I still wear24 years after I bought them; of course, I have had them resoled once.

Duck feet. I bought my first pair of "duck feet" (Natureveldt) Clarks in 1984 in Scotland and have continuously owned at least one pair of them ever since. They usually last at least five years if you take care of them. I hope the company never stops producing them.

Most comfortable shoes ever! If your foot is wide at the toe and normal at the heel, these are the shoes for you. Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned; plenty of wiggle room for the toes. I own black and brown pairs; please get Clarks to make them in tan and/or burgundy/cordovan because I'd buy them in a heartbeat.

Nothing else compares - the BEST I have ever worn! I bought a pair of Natureveldt's 1 year ago and haven't taken them off yet. I was having problems with my feet especially in the toe area when I walked any distance. No break in - No more foot pain. I walk miles all over town on rough hard and soft surfaces. After 1 year of continuous wear - the soles hardly show any wear - and they are even more comfortable if that is possible. I'd even wear them with a tuxedo.

Long-time user. 'Had these two pairs since the early '80's, and I wear 'em to work just about all the time. 'Had each pair resoled 3 times; they're so comfortable I can't bear to part with them. Tried other shoes, but kept coming back. 'Bought new ones, which I use for church and formal occasions. Simply, the best.

Luxomobile for the feet. Great shoes. I wear them for everything I do, which includes hiking in the desert canyons of Southeast Utah. They breathe in the hot climate, never stink like all this synthetic stuff does. They fit my "odd-shaped feet" as my wife calls them--wide at the front, high instep and arch. I also find the traction from the soles excellent on rock here in the desert. Plus, when it gets muddy, the slight pattern on the sole doesn't pick up and hold mud until I'm inside. They're tough. Two complaints, though. They're low shoes so sand sometimes gets inside--easy to get out, though. And the laces, compared to the old ones they used to provide with these shoes, are low quality--they actually wear out. I had to take the pair out of the very old Natureveldts I had saved in my closet to replace the worn out laces in my "new" pair. Finally, I ordered a new pair in what is stated to be "dark brown oily leather" on the ZAPPOS website--looking at the photo they provide and seeing that it was the same as the ones I've been wearing for years--a kind of medium brown brushed look--and I got a pair that says on the box "dark brown oily leather" and that's exactly what it is--dark brown. So either ZAPPOS picture is wrong, or their terminology as applied to their picture is wrong. If you don't have to have "the newest thing this year" and you don't particularly need "style", whatever that is, and you need comfortable, airy shoes that'll take you anywhere and last almost forever (forget about the laces, though--get some spares), the Natureveldt is "it".

Clarks are the Best. I've had two pair of these over the last 10-12 years. I'd probably still be wearing the first pair if the sole hadn't cracked (after 6-7 years). I almost cried when I had to throw them away. However, the Natureveldt is the same basic shoe and is still as comfortable and tough as my first pair. I also had a pair of Clark's boots, which I wore out. I'm trying to duplicate them with the Trek Flex Hi, which I will be receiving shortly. Forget about how much they cost. I've bought many pair of more expensive shoes that sit in my closet because they make feet, knees, or legs hurt. The Clarks are worth every penny.

Natureveldt review. I have Mephistos, Eccos, Rockports, etc. Far and away the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned in the Clark's Natureveld. One problem though, it's geeky looking. Oh well, such is life.

Best pair of shoes I've owned! I bought my first pair of Natureveldt 5 years ago -and I'm still wearing them. They're the most comfortable and durable pair of shoes I've ever owned. Plus, my feet are extremely wide -yet, no worries with this particular style. I recently purchased a black pair because of zero luck with other brands. Buy a pair, -you'll love them!

Ultimate Comfort. I had the good fortune to discover Clark's about 15 years ago. Since then, I've owned several pairs, and the Natureveldt is top notch. They're the ultimate in comfort for work or casual wear. Whether in the law office or the movies, your feet will thank you.

Buying a spare pair. Initially fell for the natural oil skin look. Pure walking pleasure. Absolutely no fatigue. Never wore another pair since I bought it, besides the Nike Pegasus.

Doesn't get any better than this. Unbelievable comfort. I'm 5'7" at 200lbs (90% muscle) and this shoe has it all, looks, comfort, and stability, -all day long. You won't want to take them off.

Thank God! My feet don't hurt! I finally found the only pair of shoes that are absolutely comfortable, right out of the box. I have a hard to fit foot, 10 1/2 EEE, I've been told. My toes have always been crunched because of the width of normal 'Wide' shoes' inadequacies. I have room to wiggle-around now, and love it! I've never had anything so comfortable on my feet! I'm getting a second pair in black. Love it, love it, love it! -And, after daily wear for about a year, they still show no signs of wear, even the soles, and I'm a big guy! I think they'll last forever!

I bought my first pair 8 years ago. They were the best I ever had and wore them daily until a couple of years ago when I bought a new pair. I am a little disappointed in the newer pair since they seem to be a little stiffer and not quite as comfortable. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be willing to pay more for the shoe if they had the same quality as my first pair. However that said, it's still a good shoe.

An understated classic - These fit wonderfully, they slipped on like a glove, and they are very light, excellent for walking. I was disappointed in the amount of cushioning in the front, the sneaker-style laces, and the admittedly high-quality but thin and pebbled leather. They don't really look much nicer than New Balance walking shoes. Also, I felt my sock was slipping a little on the slick insole. Back they go!
