Way too heavy.
They feel like horse shoes compared to my classic Rockports.

Mine fell apart -
I'm on my third pair of Clarks Natureveldt and the first two pairs were great. The most recent began to fall apart less than a year into my wearing them and by 18 months, they look like something fit for the garbage bin. The toes have come apart on both shoes, finish has not held up under normal wear and I consider them overpriced and of lower quality than their previous efforts. I would not recommend buying this particular shoe.

They are true to length, but slightly narrower than UK or Portugal made Nature/Natureveldt. Leather quality is a significant downgrade from original model, lighter, thinner and painted vs oil dyed full grain. Slightly more solid than other "new" Clarks...but no longer a "decade" shoe...I have another Vietnam-made pair and 2-3 years seem to be about right. The footbeds are inferior and do fall apart...so I had a cobbler make me cork and leather insoles and feel way better. Soles cracked after 2-3 years...could re-sole but tops look worn out (vs worn in of Original Clarks). Overall, a decent shoe for todays budget market, IF it fits you (Wide (G) is much narrower now, more like an "E"). For something similar to the original Natureveldt, look at the Finn Comfort Vaasa/more expensive to buy, but will last 10+years with insole/sole replacement and with better comfort and less foot problems. Glad that there are still options. One of the Original Clarks factories in Ireland is still making some of the other models too (but not the Veldt).

As others have noted, not the same Clark's Natureveldt that we loved in the past. Little is the same, even the last seems to have changed and no longer fits my hard-to-fit foot. The tongue is as thin as paper and folds under when you put it on. A once exceptional shoe is now sub-par. Forget them.

Warning! These are not the Clarks of the 1980 and 1990s. They are now made in China, and the new manufacturer has reduced the quality of materials and likely the production process itself. The name brand lives on, but real Clarks shoes are apparently gone.

I had high expectations based on previous Clarks, but unfortunately these Natureveldts have fallen flat. There is little support, and even though I ordered a wide size, I find my toes are pinched.

The old Clarks Natureveldts made in England were great. The current ones which are imported have inconsistent sizing and much lower-quality craftsmanship. I bought a pair of the Imported Clarks a few months back. After wearing them for a month or two, I heard a squeaking and it felt as though something was loose in my shoe. I took out the insert of the shoe and looked inside. There is a separate piece in the sole beneath the forefoot. When I pulled on it a little, it came loose. Apparently, these Imported Clarks don't have the same gluing quality. Clarks, stop profit-maximizing and go back to England where the shoes were made well. Thank you.

I'm disappointed in this newest version or the Naturveldt. It is much narrower than the original and much less padded. The original felt as if I was walking on air. Not these. In fact, the Nature 2 and Nature 3's both "updated" versions of the Naturveldt offered better cushioning and were more comfortable, despite getting mixed reviews.
Clark's needs to re-evaluate their quality control and determine whter they want to continue to offer these classic shoes because this current version, despite having the original name, "Naturveldt", are a disappointment.

Not what they used to be before they were made in China. My old Clarks made in England were so very comfortable. The old Clarks had plenty of width and vertical room over the foot. These newer ones feel as though they're trying to bring back foot binding. They are very tight across the top and they don't seem to have the same stitching that they used to have. They are also inconsistent. The brown ones of the same size and width felt a little looser than the black ones.

Not a happy camper!
The quality of the Natureveldt has gone downhill. This shoe has no cushioning. You feel every impact of your step. I started to use Dr. Scholl’s gel inserts, which helped with the cushioning, but made the shoes too tight to comfortably wear. I found the shoes ran small to begin with. I ordered the wide, but these shoes appear to run narrow. They now sit in my closet.

Doesn't measure up -
I tried the new version of the shoe recently after having worn the Natureveldt for decades. What a disappointment. The design has been revised, the toe has been rounded and the toe box feels smaller. Moreover, the arch on the left shoe, although minimal, had a lump or raised section that unlike, the right shoe was extremely uncomfortable. I'll wait until Clarks re-issues the earlier model and design.

Not the same shoe, uncomfortable fit -
After wearing more than eight pairs of these shoes in the past 20 years, I found this year’s model completely different, uncomfortable and unwearable. I returned them, tried another pair and had the same result. Not the same shoe at all. Something is seriously wrong with the footbed.

Not really Wide at all -
I just got an 11 Wide in this shoe. It is NOT wide. I have a 5 year old Natureveldt that is regular width that is the same width as this new shoe that is supposed to be more expansive.
I am very disappointed.

Naturevelts -
I bought a pair of the Naturevelt years ago and they were comfortable, but after only wearing them sporadically, they completely fell apart at the sole/upper connection. Very poor durability for the price. Won't buy them again!

Sad that these used to be my favorite shoes. Clark has given up European quality for unwearable products. At least the Finn Comfort Metz is still made in Germany and worth every penny! Do your homework!!

I can't believe that there have been only 5-star Overall reviews. I used to get Natureveldts when they were made well, IN ENGLAND. Back then, they were one of the most comfortable shoes on the planet. Now they're made IN CHINA and other countries. The shoes are tight and uncomfortable. Same size, same width as before. Also, they used to offer an Oily Brown Nubuck material. Now just "leather". It really sucks. I wish they'd make them with the same size, comfort and quality that they used to. So while the old England-made shoes might get 5 stars, these Chinese-made shoes get 1 star.

Disintegrating Inner Soles -
This is my third pair of Natureveldts. The first two lasted a long time and were disposed of when the heel wore down too much to wear any longer. My third pair, which I have not owned all that long, has disintegrating inner soles (below the "leather upper". I first noticed it when I'd take my shoes off and leave black smudge marks (disintegrated dust) on the floor. The inner rectangular patterned sole is so disintegrated whole chunks are now missing. The shoes are literally no longer wearable. The heels and soles are fine. I should have gotten many more years out of these shoes. A major disappoint and product failure in my view.

Mike -
The new Natureveldt was nothing like my first GREAT pair. These fit tighter, and the toe-bed irritates my foot. After I noticed the problems I discovered that the shoes are now made elsewhere and the toe bed has been changed.
I tried them too long to return them, but can't wear them. I'm just wearing the old pair into dust until I can find something like them.

Great comfort poor looks -
This is an extremely comfortable shoe. I detest the looks however. I had a pair form 3 years ago. Comparing the old and the new, I find the newer model has better cushioning but the front of the shoe is very wide and ugly. I don't know why
Clarks refuses to make shoes with refined looks. It seems to me that they are obsessed with producing clunkers.

Clarks aren't what they used to be...
Tried on 3 different pairs all the same size and color and none fit the same...I bought my last pair of Clarks...only thing that made me happy was the service Zappos gave me...no one has better service and customer relations.

What happened to British craftsmanship?
I have several pairs of the NVs over the past twenty years and they have been great! However, when I went to look at another pair at the store, I discovered that they are now made in China! I could see the difference. I will not buy another pair, I'll just wear these into ground. And the funny thing is they cost more than before! It is really shameful!

Squeak, squeak, these shoes squeak -
Squeak, squeak, these are the squeakiest shoes that you will, squeak, ever own. Every step, squeak, you will hear, squeak, the same annoying, squeak, sound: squeak! No amount of comfort, squeak, they offer your feet, squeak, can make up for the, squeak, sound that will drive you, squeak, crazy and make you really, really, squeak, angry. Don’t say that, squeak, no one warned you. Squeak. I really wanted to like these shoes, but I just couldn't.
