I thought this shoe would have soft leather but it was hard and made for an uncomfortable. Shoe runs a half size smaller.

I ordered these for my mom (94 years old) and this is her opinion. She finds the shoes lack arch support and are not comfortable over a long period. I did notice that she had red spots on her feet when she took off where they looked as if they were rubbing. She has lately been wearing a light athletic shoe for support and wanted this for a dressier look. They do look wonderful. She formerly wore a narrow, but we had to reorder in medium width to fit. She always wears a cotton sock, somewhat heavier than I would have chosen.

My usual size is either 6.5 or 7 Wide. Because of reviews, I ordered the larger size. The shoe is much too long. Even if it weren't, it appears to be flimsy, not supportive. I wouldn't keep it under any circumstances. I have other Easy Spirit styles that are better quality.

I have worn the same sizes (6.5 and 7) for years and years, have other shoes and boots of this size, and I like this brand; however, this pair was far too small, not just a little. It is so small that I think the size must be mismarked. It feels good otherwise, and I think it would have been a comfortable shoe if it had fit. Because I could not wear the shoes and judge them, I guessed about the star ratings.

I bought Motion before blue & black. The brown ones bought later are a mess. Have peeled and just not have held up like the Navy & Black. Very disappointed. Also can't find store in Pittsburgh, Pa. that carries them anymore. Thank you.

These shoes look like miniature torpedoes on the foot, a bit of a mature style for my taste. They also run very small and narrow. I'm usually a 9 1/2 W. I ordered 9 1/2 WW, and they still were extremely tight and short. If I liked the style, I'd probably try one size up, as wide as they make 'em. For a narrow-footed person, these could be a winner.

These shoes are fairly comfortable. They are, however, not as wide as expected, especially in the toe box area. They are also somewhat boring. I've replaced the laces with something more colorful, and this helps. Overall, I am not really delighted with the shoes, but I think they will do.

This shoe has a very narrow toe, something not usually associated with a shoe advertised as comfortable for walking and all-day wear.

This oxford looks nice, but there is an odd feel to the sides of the inside of the shoe. I normally wear 7 1/2 AAA. In this shoe, the AA felt too narrow. Also, the toe box made my toes feel cramped.

Nice looking but although comfortable, not quite as comfortable for all-day wear (walking primarily) as I had hoped.

Looks good, but... Love the look of the shoe, but it has very little overall support and no arch support.

I ordered the Lavender colored one.... I guess I ordered the last of the lavender colored one as I don't even see it listed now. It was pretty, but it had some flaws in the material. It also was too tight for me. It felt like I was wearing a triple or even quadruple A instead of a regular narrow. My toes were being squashed inside it. However, my heels were fine. I will not order a medium as I think it would be too wide in other areas. I guess I have picky feet. Anyway, I am sending them back for refund. Too bad they didn't work out. Maybe, someone else will enjoy the lavender color in size 8 narrow.

Disappointed - I have been trying with out success to get a walking shoe that fits me for an upcoming trip. I owned this shoe in past so though it would good choice. However, it was awful; too tight and too small, if fact it fit so badly I felt it must be marked wrong. I returned it.

Not as much support as expected - These shoes look as nice as pictured. But the fit is off - I but could have taken the next smaller size. Also from the ratings here, I expected more arch support. There is some - but it is by no means "excellent."

Not true to size - Though I ordered these shoes in the same size that I order other casual and dress shoes, they fit strangely across the arch - it almost seemed as though I was wearing the shoes on the wrong feet. It's not really the width, but rather the shape of these shoes that make them feel awkward. Not recommended for comfort shoes

These shoes are not white in color. They are beige/tan in color. True beige. No way are they white. Don’t order if you want white athletic shoes. They have no arch support. They have no padding on the soles. The toe box is cramped. Not comfortable.

Too long. It’s my foot, not the shoes. I probably need a 10 1/2 but they are hard to find.

Very narrow and didnt seem like it had any give at all.

I bought these "Motion" shoes at the same time as another Easy Spirit style, the "AP1". The AP1 is far superior as it is fully lined and therefore much more comfortable. I also found that the wide Motion shoes were a little too wide in back, so that when I walked the back seemed to move around. If I had been able to tighten the laces, they might have been okay, but they were as tight as they could get. The laces on other tie shoes seem to come up higher on my foot, so the shoe stays on better. Some reviewers said they ran small, so I ordered my regular size and a half size larger, but didn't find I needed the larger size. Easy Spirit makes some of the few shoes that are leather at a reasonable price, but both styles seemed to be a little too short inside for my feet. I decided to keep the AP1 shoes.

There were only 3 things that I liked about this shoe: the color, that the uppers were all leather, and that they were flats. Other than that, the fit was off and did not accommodate orthotics well and the style was real "old lady".

I have worn Easy Spirit Motion shoes since they were first introduced (as "shopping shoes") in the eighties. I currently own 4 pairs of this shoe (2 black & 2beige) in size 9D (presumed to map to 9W). They are a perfect fit for my left foot, but are a bit too long for my right foot. So I decided to try ordering one-half size smaller and wearing a 9W on my left foot, and an 8.5W on my right. The idea was a total failure, as the cut of the 8.5 shoe is bizarre. The ENTIRE difference in length disappeared from the length between the toe and the stitching at the base of the laces - in effect relocating the widest portion of the shoe (forward of the stitching) further from the heel. The overall length might have been fine. The width might have been ok if located in the same place as the 9's or (because it's a smaller size) proportionately closer to the heel. It's still a great shoe. There just doesn't seem to be a current size that will fit my foot.

I was actually okay with the style of this ladies' oxford. As I wear a D or E width, I ordered the wide of this shoe. I knew upon taking it out of the box that it was going to be too narrow. Upon trying it on, it pinched across my foot terribly. When I measured my foot to the bottom of the shoe, the sole was narrower than my foot. Bottom line: if you have [double] wide feet, skip these.

I ordered a size 7.5 M in White Leather, and they are NOT white. They are bone or very light beige. It looks horrible with my white pants. They hurt on the top part of my foot and the are fairly stiff. I am returning them. There is no way I can walk a lot and stand on my feet in these. Easy Spirit needs to change the color to true white and make them softer and more flexible with arch support.
