This shoe was my go-to sneaker for years and years, till I ran into a pair that was uncomfortable in the arch area because of an apparent redesign. I tried other shoes, other brands, other styles, always missing the AP1's comfort. This time, when I needed new sneakers, I decided to go back to the AP1 and try again, and I'm so glad I did. The fit is perfect, and the feel is "like buttah" -- SO comfortable for just running around in. Welcome back, AP1!

I had originally ordered 8 1/2 wide which is what I usually wear, but they were too wide, so exchanged for 8 1/2 medium and that fit very well. There is good arch support and they are very comfortable right out of the box. I haven't had a pair of Easy Spirit for quite a few years, but would buy this brand again.

I don't remember the first time I bought a pair of East Spirit AP1s, but I have continued to buy them year after year. They are waterproof and wonderful for walking, and they easily accommodate my wide feet.

I have had several pairs of Easy Spriit Motion, but wanted a little better support. I decided to try the API and ordered one medium width and one narrow. I usually wear a medium but fount the narrow just right. They hug my feet, are very comfortable and have good support for casual walking.

Just as advertised. Fit perfectly right out of the box. I keep buying this shoe because it fits and is a great wali g shoe.

I bought these shoes in white and like them. Decided to get the black for winter. I wore them today and they are very comfortable. They do not feel like new shoes. Free shipping means a lot to me. Thanks Zappos!

I’ve had several pairs of this style and like the low profile with gym pants and jeans. Only used for errands-not heavy duty treadmill use. This pair felt more narrow than others but that may be my feet-couldn’t tell.

I buy these for my mom - 2x yr- lighter color for spring. She loves them; they are comfortable and look nice on her.

I have plantar fasciitis and it is difficult to find comfortable shoes. I may need to get orthotic insoles but these are much more comfortable right out of the box than the 11 pairs of shoes I tried on at various stores last week. I had bought easy spirit shoes in this style in the past but could not find them in stores. I went to the Zappos website hoping on the off chance I could find them. Zappos had the exact shoes I wanted. They fit great and I am very satisfied. Zappos is great!

I bought these for my mom who is in her 90's. They are easy to put on and off and she said they felt comfortable right away.

Can wear them right out of the box! I wore out my 1st pair as they are very comfortable to walk in. I am on my feet a lot at work, and I wear these with slacks. I highly recommend them!

Like another reviewer, I'm diabetic and have a hard time finding shoes that are comfortable. I have a form of arthritis in my right big toe, and these shoes feel great on that foot. Tried these shoes on in the house on the carpeting and loved the way they felt, so I immediately wore these right out of the box, something I NEVER do. These shoes are so comfortable! I love that they are lower at the ankles than most shoes, so they don't rub like some do. There's plenty of space for the toes, and the style looks great with slacks or jeans. At the end of a long day, these shoes still feel great on . . . I almost hate having to take them off!

A very nice shoe. Unfortunately, it was too long and too wide in the heel in spite of being a narrow. I have a hard to fit foot- ideally need a 10.5 slim.

Like other reviewers, I love these. I especially love that they are *basic*: no logos, swooshes or crazy tread. I tend to dress punk rock / geek-chic and I just wanted a pair of comfortable sneakers that didn't detract from the rest of my outfit. These are perfect. They don't look like sports shoes or grandma shoes. They look like your favorite pair of functional sneakers. One thing to keep in mind, though: these puppies don't stretch. I keep thinking, are they really not stretching? But after a few months of wear I swear they are not. I assumed they would and bought a narrow because I like them snug. After days of walking miles in them, not only were they still uncomfortably tight around the ball of my foot, but they developed this bizarre white crust all over the front of both shoes. It looked like mildew. Really noticeable. It would wipe off with work, but then return on my next rainy walk. After a month I decided they must be defective and asked Zappos to send me a different pair, but this time regular width. Now that I've been wearing those a while I'm beginning to think it was just because the protective leather coating was cracking because of the strain around the wide part of my foot. Curious that no one else has mentioned it. The first time I bought a pair of these I realized later they were too large, and after a few months I donated this $75 pair of sneakers and bought the (too small) pair, because they were good enough I was willing to drop $150 in total to be able to wear them all the time. Just wear them around the house for a few days first because the size you start with is the size they are going to stay.

Solid shoe. Good foot support. Durable but not fancy on the style side.

I love these shoes! I wear them with jeans and casual pants to work. They are so light and comfortable on my feet that I hardly notice them. I have an extra wide width and small size and these fit perfectly.

I've bought Easy Spirit shoes three times for my elderly mother over the years. She likes them and they fit her well.

For some unknown reason I hadn't purchased any Easy Spirit shoes in some time. Big mistake. These are very comfortable and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

These shoes are great. I needed a pair that was comfortable and that I could wear with black pants for music concert attire. These are basic, but not clunky looking and look sharp for what I need. Wearing a large size shoe is a handicap when trying to find something that doesn't look like you are a pro-basketball player. Thanks for having these around.

I wanted a pair of not so clumsy sneakers, somewhat attractive and with support. These fit the bill.

I have worn Easy Spirit AP1 shoes for many years. I have leather, cotton and suede. They offer great support and provide the proper walking shoe for me. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who requires support in their shoes.

I have been wearing this exact style for years. It always fits just right. I love Zappos because I can return with no hassle and shipping is free. I used to go to the Easy Spirit store but no more. My size is very small 5 1/2, and they would never have them. Not so with Zappos. Why would I go anywhere else?!
