Durango's SW542 - I own this boot. I have had mine for 10+ years easy. Mine have white stitching and this one has black, other than that it's the same boot. A real sweet boot and a real sweet deal. A cowboy boot with out havin to go all out cowboy!!!

This boot was comfortable except I am not used to the pointy toes. Because of this, I returned them. If you are used to wearing this style then I would recommend them.

Shoes felt a bit big. I couldn't get a good feel for just how big they were until I took a longer walk outside, but by then the soles were too scratched up to return.

Boot exceeded my expectation in terms of quality and comfort for the price. Very nice looking, surprisingly durable, and comfortable.

First off, I am a lady wearing a men's 7 EE (I'm a women's 8.5 wide or double wide) and these fit perfectly. They're great boots and don't look too feminine or too masculine, but just right for jeans, dresses, etc. I've already received quite a few compliments on them, and they look perfectly worn in right out of the box (everyone mentions this when I say they are new). Comfortable for walking and standing all day. Love them. However! The interior lining near the boot heel started wearing off by day two, just shredding off in bits, exposing the nail heads below. This makes me nervous. The exposed nails aren't uncomfortable, even in thin socks, so maybe the cottony/papery lining was always meant come off...but it still makes me a bit nervous as to the overall construction of the boot. But time will tell. I'm too pleased with them to risk returning them for this supposed "defect" and going without them for even one day! So that says a lot about how wonderful they are otherwise.

An immediately comfortable boot! Nice soft upper and comfortable foot as well (I danced for 2 hours right away). I just wish it had a little more of a cowboy boot look but I tried tons of others and they were not wearable for me..

These boots are great! The price is just right. There was no need for fancy sag because boot cut Levi's cover the legging. The most impressive part of this transaction was the outstanding service rendered; the best ever received.

These boots absolutely rock and are very fashionable. I can wear them with almost any outfit/clothing and they are stylish. I love that I can fit my jeans inside the boots, as well. The material and fit are very flexible.

Okay, I wear size 15 so that in itself is a challenge with boot. My first real pair of boots. They feel great, wide enough, great leather material. The inside is cloth like material, but keeps your feet cooler than if it was real leather lining. Overall is a great buy for the price.

These are really comfortable straight out of the box. I wore them around the house for a full day to make absolutely sure the fit and feel was right. I was surprised to discover there wasn't any break-in period, they're just comfortable and feel great right away. They also look pretty bad ass in a Wyatt Earp meets Manhattan kind of way. Wearing these with a pair of boot cut jeans makes me look and feel like a sharply dressed desperado. Also, my wife says they look great on me. Bonus!

What a really comfortable pair of boots! Been waiting to find the right boots with riding heels for some time and these have set the bar. Heel slip is minimal and the boot material is already worked to provide the most comfort for first time wear. I wear them for work and play, and never get fatigued. They look great under jeans or dress pants.

These are the first pair of boots that I ever purchased. And now I am a boot guy for life. These are crazy comfortable and look good. I guess I've gone country and I'm not going back.

I purchased these boots for my husband. He has a wide foot, so I was concerned with the comfort and fit. He was amazed by the comfort and fit of these boots. He is on his feet all day at work and says these boots are as comfortable at the end of the day as they are at the beginning of the day. He intends on buying another pair of Durango's but in a dressier version.

We were absolutely blown away with the service we got at Zappos! First I bought my girlfriend a pair of boots for an upcoming concert, they were of course not right. Never buy shoes for a girl...unless you buy them from Zappos. With a phone call she got the ones she wanted and had a return label sent with no hassle at all! My boots were exactly what was represented and I was totally satisfied. Shipping was super fast and I will definitely shop at Zappos again!

These shoes are great. I would like them even more if I bought them in the wide variation instead. I expect after wearing them for some time they'll stretch out some more and be fine. Apparently, I probably have a wide foot so I should have ordered the wider shoe. I'm about 6 foot 170 pounds so you might want to give the wide a try if you're similar. I haven't actually worn them so I'm not sure they'd better fit me. Great shoes, look great, feel great, I'd recommend them!

I bought these for my hubby as he'd been wanting cowboy boots for the longest time. He absolutely loves these. They are not just nice to look at he also says they are super-comfortable. I think, if he could, he would sleep in them. I must add that the size does run a little small - so go one size up. The first pair we got were too small and my hubby wanted them badly for a family reunion function that we had in London, UK a few days later. I called the Zappo's call center and spoke to Autumn (a Man-United fan) and she organised me a second pair one-size up, told me to go ahead and enjoy the family function and send the other pair when we got back. The new pair arrived the next day as promised. I buy online from quite a few providers and while Amazon come close second, Zappos is by far the best company to work with.

These are the first pair of boots I've ever owned or worn for that matter and I have to say that they are extremely comfortable! Right out of the box they are perfect, no blisters, so awkward rubbing, just plain comfy. I think I might try a 1/2 size smaller next time as there is a little bit of wiggle room but I do have narrow feet and since these are my first boots I have nothing to compare them to. Even with that wiggle room I have no complaints. When these wear out I will definitely buy another pair.

The Durango SW542 is a very good boot. I have wide feet (EE), but these were comfortable right out of the box.

I ordered these boots about 2 years ago. I got them to wear on my Harley. Great boot right out of the box. Not an every day wear, the soles wore pretty fast wearing them two to three times a week in summer and seldom in winter. Now repair is 65 to 70 dollars. May as well shop for new ones but on all brands. I'd buy them again but wear once a week to make them last.

I love the way these boots look, but the lining on the inside makes them impossible for me to wear. It's definitely a soft lining, which is very comfortable. But, also, incredibly hot. I live in Texas and, if I wore these through the summer, the inside of the boots would be soaked in sweat. It's a shame, because I really wanted these to work out.

They broke in fast and felt like they were MINE after 3 wearings, but I have some problems with them. They're not totally flat. When the heel is flat on the ground the toe is up in the air; when the toe is on the ground there's a gap under the back of the heel so that you're always teetering on the front of the heel. It's like the angle of the heel and the front aren't aligned. Clearly, the front of the heel is going to wear badly first. I'm not sure what's going to happen after that, but it's the only thing I don't like about these boots.

I love the style of these boots and bought them about 2 months ago. At first they were fantastic, but after about two weeks the insoles started to fall apart. For some reason Durangos have a 2 piece insole so that you can have more mobility. The problem is that the back part of the sole for the heel is made out of something akin to cardboard and is prone to falling apart. After those disintegrate your heel goes straight to the nails that hold the heel to the boot. I would not recommend these boots to anyone who will actually use them to walk around a lot. Better for parties.
