Great shoe but not "Doc" tuff - This shoe is true to size and super cute. It takes no time to break in and I get compliments on them all the time. I am a little disappointed in the quality of the leather and how easily it scuffs, I have had them 3 months, and they look 3 years old. Live and learn, still satisfied.

Dr. Martins Mary Jane This is a great shoe and very comfortable. If you aren't sure whether to go up or down in the size (no half sizes), I went down. They seem to run generously.

Super comfortable - I have a difficult time finding a super comfortable shoe, but this really is! I can wear these all day and my feet feel fine. Plus, they go with anything...casual or a bit more dressy. The only complaint is I am now on my third pair because the buckle breaks after about a year (however, I wear them almost daily).

I really do like these shoes with a couple of exceptions; they take a while to break in. However soon after they feel much better (I have a pair in brown). A little wide for my foot; I feel like my foot is sliding around. It helps to wear a thicker sock and insole support for a better fit. Overall, they look awesome; very hip.

8065 series - Very cute shoe! I saw somebody else wearing these and I couldn't find them anywhere except online, so I just had to order them. Docs are always a half size too big for me and the same was true with this shoe (so I always have to wear thick socks). These look best with jeans.

Cute Shoes! I love the looks of these shoes. But I have narrow, so I ended up returning mine for a smaller size. When I wear tights, they slip a bit. But at the end of the day, my feet do not hurt, which, coming from a flat-footed college professor who is on her feet all day, is a real endorsement!

Shoes - They were too small so I sent them back and I still havent gotten my money back. It's been over 3 weeks.

The real deal - I felt that this shoe is a little bit larger than marked. It is comfortable, but if you do a lot of walking, the top of the buckly straps might start to hurt until they get broken in. I am normally a size 8, but the 8's were too big and the 7's are just a little too small in length. In any case, the shoes are worth it. You can wear them with anything and look cute! They are a great comfortable office shoe if you are in a business casual atmosphere.

The width in the toes is a little bit more narrow than I expected, but once I broke them in they fit great!

Whenever I wear these shoes, people compliment me on them. The are very versatile. They are sturdy. I have owned mine since fall of 1997. One problem: at least twice, I have had to take these shoes to the shoemaker to have the straps refastened to the shoe, because the elastic broke.

Great looking shoes - A little uncomfortable at first, but now they are comfortable

Great shoes - The Dr. Marten 8065 series are a great shoe. They look great. My only complaint is the leather straps that go over the shoe and foot. They hurt for about the first four times you wear them. After that you are good to go. This was my first time purchasing a pair of the mary jane style shoe. I usually go for the lace up brands. I would buy another pair for sure. Dr. Martens is by far my favorite causal shoe.

Thick soles - Can Dr. Martens make the shoes with thinner soles, the straps thinner and make both vamps wider? -Make the leather more supple, too!

Sole is falling off after only one year! I bought this shoe a year ago, and the sole is falling off. Both my husband and I are very happy with Docs, I have a pair of sandals that has been going strong for three years, and he has worn nothing but Docs for about seven years. I love these shoes, they look great, but I stepped in a puddle about two weeks ago and the shoe was full of water. It could just be fluke, but just giving you a heads up.

Love the look, comfort is so-so - I loved these for a long time before ordering. I still love the look, but the comfort is not fabulous. My foot measures a 9.5, and I got their size 9. Fits great on the left foot, a bit short on the right. These are thick, stiff leather, and I wear very heavy socks or 2pr of thinner socks. The sides come up high enough to almost hit my ankle bone. It's kind of hard to get the strap thru the buckle. These aren't as great (comfort-wise) as I hoped, but I'm still happy with them.

Very Stiff Leather and Sole - I really liked the look of this shoe since I have a wide foot and the medium runs wider than marked. Unfortunately, I had to return them because the leather especially around the straps were SO stiff I could barely unbuckle them and I could not refasten them once I got the shoes on my feet. Also the sole was VERY STIFF as well which made walking in them difficult.

Looks Better in Smaller Sizes - As is the case with many shoes, these look HUGE in a size 10. My foot is on the narrow side and these are swimmingly wide. I would have to wear big thick socks whenever I wore them and I really wanted something I could wear with a skirt. I am not sure that I will keep them.

Not as good as the old ones!! I bought a pair of these shoes 10 years ago and wore them Everyday for about 8 years. Seriously. I wanted a black pair, so I bought these (same exact series) and have been really disappointed. The heel is taller, the leather hasn't stretched AT ALL, the sole is already coming away from the shoe and I've only had them about a year. The inside of the shoe is a fabric that is wearing away and giving me blisters. I have many pairs of Docs…

Loved the shoes but way to uncomfortable - I have always wanted a pair of maryjanes, but these were just not meant for me. I needed a size 6.5 but unfortunately Dr. Martens do not make half sizes and the shoe was so narrow it hurt my feet to walk in them, too bad because I wanted them so much, just couldn't possibly walk in them.

Not as comfortable as the Dr Marten's I've had that were made in England.

The Achilles tendon and anklebone areas of the shoe needed to be softened and stretched. The leather was too stiff and it kept digging into those areas. I will probably need to insert insoles to prevent slippage. Otherwise, the look of the shoe is perfect. My friend has the exact same style of shoe and it fit her perfectly from the start. So, the fit is very individual.

Dr. Marten's - I really like the look of this shoe and I love Doc's, but the shoe size fit big and there was too much room in the toe. It felt like the shoe would just slip right off. Unfortunately a smaller size was too small so I ordered a different Doc.

Sadly dissatisfied These are really cute shoes. There is NO arch support whatsoever. I usually wear an orthotic and need to put a gel arch in there which does not suffice. Also, middle section that holds the straps slides to one side or the other.
