Awesome stuff! I had an old leather whip my Dad gave me (very old). It was in really bad shape -all dried out and brittle. I put the Wonder Balsam on it and it was literally like new! Amazing! If you need to give any of your leather a revamp, these is the stuff to do it.

Awesome goo! Wonder Shoe Balm is exactly the thing to use for any kind of leather. -It spiffs up old, scuffed shoes and softens the leather. The person who was joking about using it on bread and hair isn't completely off. I find it's great for moisturizing cuticles!

I first tried Dr. Martins Wonder Balsam several years ago when my teenage son was really into Dr. Martin shoes/boots. I believe at that time it was only about $5. It's great and goes a long way. Everyone in the family has used it on something or other. Believe it or not we still have a little left, but are scraping the bottom of the jar. First time I've seen it since and I'm definitely ordering more. It works great on most anything leather.

Wonder is right! This stuff is amazing, I put it on some of my old leather shoes that I had almost given up on and they look fabulous now! Your brand new shiny shoes don't really need it, but man does it revive old dull leather. I'm so glad I bought it!

Amazing Stuff I was skepticle when I ordered this wonder balsam, THEN I tried it. A little bit does go a long way. I've used it so far on 8pr of docs and 3 leather jackets (1 being lambs skin). Truely amazing stuff. Brought color back and took out the "cracked" look. If you use too much or wear the treated item immediately after application I suppose it does attract dirt. Let it sit overnight and no problems. My 2 cents.

Wonder Balsam is Awesome! I've used this before on my Docs and they really make a tired pair of shoes look brand new again. It's great. Since it's what Dr Martens recommends, then I like to use it for my Docs. I figure they would know best.

It works well for waterproofing, but does not protect the finish of the shoe from scuffing. If it helped with scuffing it would get 5, but water resistance is a big plus and should help the shoe last. Also, does help restore old cracked doc boots that I have owned for a decade. Cracking near toe line was much reduced after a couple applications.

So far I have just used this on my Danskos. It does not leave a bright shine but more of a soft glow which I like better. You guys at Zappos give the best customer service I have dealt with. Thanks.

Came as described and in a timely fashion. Only thing I could say that was weird was that it came in a huge box but all that was in it was this little round container of shoe balm. Waste of space and shipping prices I'm sure.

Does the Trick - Comes w/an applicator and simple instructions: rub well into leather, especially the seams. Only a minute amount is needed per shoe, so it lasts long.

Dr. Marten's Wonder Shoe Balm - I've used Dr. Marten's since Zappos introduced me to it several years ago, and it improves shoes and handbags. Applying it before use generally keeps them looking good longer -- with this exception: (I subtract one star because) if a shoe is made with creases in it, Dr. Marten's intensifies the crease, making the shoe look old before it should. Otherwise, it's the best such product I know.

Good for the leather, but not quite a polish - It definitely seems like it helps the leather out, and will probably prolong the life of the shoe. But it is not a replacement for polish, and it is not really a water-proofer, that I can tell. Good stuff though.

Good but pricey - This product is a little pricey for what it is and I think it is packaged a bit deceptively. They include a sponge in the package without telling you that is what they are doing, so the container appears much bigger. But it is an effective product. Be prepared for it to darken your leather.

Works as described - This product removes scuff marks on a variety of shoes. It nourishes leather and makes it water resistant. I used it on a pair of Florsheim brown nubuc oxfords that are quite old. The product darkened the color considerably, but removed most signs of wear in the process. They now appear almost new! I recommend the item, but have rated it four stars overall due to its high price.

Good For Livening Up A Pair of Well-Worn Shoes - I had a pair of scuffed and well-worn red leather shoes that I used this stuff on. While it didn't make my shoes look brand new, it definitely did make the color of the shoes look richer and cleaned some of the dirt off. A lot of the scuff and dark marks remained, but then again, a lot of them were removed, and my shoes do look better after the use of this balm. For the most part, this is a very good product, and I would definitely use it again to freshen up my shoes, but I'm not sure if I would have considered this balsam to have worked "wonders" on my shoes.

Dr. Martens Wonder Shoe Balm - Keeps shoe waterproof and looking attractive, but I think it a bit pricey for how much you get.

It's OK - I did all of my leather shoes and a handbag with Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam, based on an earlier review I'd read. I wasn't that thrilled with it. It's not BAD, but it's no miracle potion. I can do much the same with less pricey stuff--namely mink oil which is widely-available wherever you buy shoe polish.

Somewhat Recommended - I bought this balm along with two pair of leather boot for my daughter. The balm works great, but for DARK COLORED LEATHER OR SUEDE ONLY. I put the balm on her Black boots and the boots remain soft and shiny. I put it on her Camel colored boots and it turned the boot a dark Green color. I did replace the sponge that came with the balm. Ater a few days the boot turned to a Dark Brown. I then put it on a suede boot of mine and it turned the Tan colored boot to a Dark Brown color. It is still Dark Brown several days later. I would recommend this balm for dark colored leather or suede.

Love this stuff. I use it on all my leather.

Still have it after all these years keeps my boots looking shiny and brings them back to life.

Love this! I bought it as a proactive measure after buying the Chelsea boots, because I live in a city where there’s a lot of snow, and salt from the roads often marks my winter clothes. Comes with a nice sponge, which can be stored in the tin. Some reviewers have commented on the price, but I’ve paid more at Walmart for lower quality products, that also didn’t include a cloth or sponge, so I think the price is super reasonable.

Works great on all my leather Dr Martens. Use it a lot

I saw an instant difference in my Doc Martens- they look newer right away.
