Chris - This stuff is expensive but it goes a long way. I used it on my soccer shoes, and leather Puma Speedcats, leather Skechers, along with my Dr. Martens. Makes them look new. Does a good job repelling water, but if you get shoes real wet you have to reapply.

Small Wonder - I think the Shoe Balsam is a very good value considering how long it lasts. You can use it on several pairs of shoes/boots and it lasts for ages. I like the fact that it waterproofs the leather of your Docs which is great for the kitchen work environment that I work in. Also gives a slight shine, more of a deep clean look really. Nice. I think it works better than Mink Oil, but that’s just my opinion. I will keep buying the Balsam!

Great Shoe Protection - This is great shoe protection. Covers small scuffs. Offers great protection for the shoe without leaving a ridiculous shine or very oily texture.

A must for your Docs - The Wonder Balsam completely restored the original finish to my Dr. Martens. However, I should note that I bought this with my Docs and began using it to maintain the finish after the first wear or two. It is very easy to use, just wipe it on with the provided sponge. A little goes a long way. I haven't tried it yet on my other shoes (by other brands), but I would be willing to do so. However, I don't believe it would give shoes a shine - just that matted polished look Docs have.

Tis the season - So far we have only had a chance to use the Wonder Balsam on a baseball mitt. However, if it does as well on shoes, I'm stocking up!

Awesome - Practically the most comfortable shoes I've ever put on. They fit well, they feel like slippers. They are kind to my wide, flat feet.

Great Product - I was glad that I had found this product available. I have used it on my Timberlands and they look like new again.

DM's rocks!! I have black and brown leather boots which I wear all winter long. My brown boots were starting to show a lot of scuffing and discoloration. I came across this product on Zappos.com and decided to try it before taking them in to the cobbler to be treated. I'm so glad I did. It is incredible how well it works to condition the leather and minimize the scuff marks!! I am not easily amazed and this product AMAZED me. Buy it for all your leather shoes. I'm going to spend my weekend, treating all of mine to this great conditioner and have shiny shoes come Monday!!

Good Leather Protection - I use it on everything leather. Easy to apply and doesn't leave any residue. Good stuff!

Love It - I was impressed when I first use the Balsam. I had read one negative review and was skeptical. But after I used it for myself, this is a wonderful product. I recommend it to everyone.

This product is quite expensive considering the amount of the balsam that you get in one container. A little bit spreads a long way though. I've used it on my boots and the balsam has really revived the leather. I don't think it is as effective on shoes that have been used in the snow or have been exposed to some salt. I still put it on just to add a layer of protection to my shoes. I think it's a great product to have if you want to keep your shoes in their best condition.

Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam - I have used this stuff for years and is the best thing I have found for Docs and other leather products. Zappos has the best price for the Balsam, and with the free overnight delivery, you can't go wrong there.

Midwestern Dream - To Consumers: As many know, the winter of 2006-2007 has been unpredictable. Hence, I found myself in KC with only a pair of sling-back flats and my favorite pair of dress boots during a snowstorm! Panic-stricken I logged onto Zappos, the only dependable place where I could quickly obtain sensible boots to weather the storm. Then, wanting to minimize the damage caused by chemicals used with snowplows in winter, I purchased Dr. Martens Wonder Shoe Balsam - it's the best! I polished my new boots before wearing them in the chemically treated snow and to my great surprise; my new boots sustained NO damage. Ordinarily, salt marks, water marks, and scuffs would have ruined my boots, but there was nothing at all – the boots bore no signs of wear whatsoever. To Dr. Marten: One caveat: it took forever to figure out how to open the darned container to reach the balm; the first few times I merely used what oozed up on the sides – a small lip on the interior recessed cap would be appreciated Doc! To Zappos: Thank you for routinely maintaining an adequate stock of large sized footwear; for providing quality supplies for the care of our footwear; and for dependable service including delivery. Addicted to the Balsam - After reading three or four pages of excellent reviews, I decided to give this a try. It arrived and I cleaned about 8 pair of shoes, two leather jackets and a purse. I wasn't amazed. The shoes had no problem, but the jackets felt greasy. I thought I had made a mistake with this product. One week later, I grabbed one of my jackets and it felt just buttery soft but without greasiness. Plus it was raining and it didn't get any stains from the rain. I was wearing a pair of brown boots that I treated with the balsam and they also didn't get any stains. When I returned home, I took a pair of burgundy shoes that my partner loves and stopped wearing because of multiple very noticeable scuffs. I'm amazed I didn't try it earlier, because the shoes are now as good as new, and even shinier. Now my 40-something pairs of shoes are wonder-balsamed, as well as all of my bags. Believe in our reviews, trust us, the greasiness disappears after a few minutes. You won't notice a change in almost new shoes, but you will be amazed if you use it in scuffed and dried-out shoes. Oh, and I used the balm in every color existent, and not one darkened. Not even beige -it stood beige. By the way, it lasts a lot, you need to use only a tiny amount. Also, your hands will be greasy after using it, but it is mostly beeswax, so don't wash your hands, just rub them togheter and leave it as lotion (I did it but oh, well, I use my shoes hardly once a month so they don't get dirty).

Amazing stuff - This works really well, it makes the leather come back to life and look richer in color. It reduces the visibility of scuffs, but does not make them go away, but great stuff!

Good Stuff! The container at first seemed small for the price, but the balm really goes a long way requiring very little. Works great on old and new shoes, to restore the look or protect a new shoe. I have also used it on other leather items such as favorite wallet that was showing signs of age, a jacket, etc. After treating numerous pairs of shoes and boots along with the other items you can barely miss any from the container. The balm softens the leather and adds a soft sheen, helps my work boots resist scuffs too. Great product.

Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam - Using this product on older or scuffed shoes actually does bring back the color and luster of the shoe. I haven’t yet experienced if it makes the shoe more waterproof. Kudos to Dr. Martens.

Great Stuff - Got this for my husband and son for their Docs. It is amazing and takes just a tiny bit to do its job. If you've got leather, you should have this stuff too.

Good shoe care product - I am a first time buyer of Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam and I am very satisfied. It is easy to use, comes with a sponge applicator, works great and doesn't leave a highly polished waxy shine to my casual shoes.

A good product for all leather goods - I recently bought my husband a very expensive leather coat and will browsing the Zappos web site, came across this product -- meant for Dr. Marten shoes. I bought this item for my husband's new coat, based on the other reviews people had submitted about the possible applications of this balm. When applied, the balm soaks right in, and adds a soft, supple feel to the leather. It will also help guard against rain damage, which was one of the main reasons I bought this product. I would recommend it to anyone.

Dr Marten's Wonder Balm - Very frequently products do not live up to their advertised claims. Not true with the Wonder Balm! This product does all it claims to do and is a definitely a "wonder"! After showing my husband boots I had used the balm on, he immediately started using it on his shoes. Now we are both hooked on this product! Thank you Zappos for coming thru again!

Stuff is Wonderful - I recently purchased this stuff and it keeps my boots looking good, scratches don't show and dust just wipes off... give it a shot... it works well!

Many Uses! We were first surprised at how little an amount there was in the container, but then we started using it...just like the Energizer Bunny---it keeps going...going. We tried it on one pair of shoes...then another and we went through our closets getting all our shoes to look new again! Ahhh, then the real challenge...the leather sofa!!! Wow...works there, too...and my ten year old sofa looks and feels new again...we love this stuff!!

I've been wearing Dr. Marten's shoes for over 14 years now. They are classics and truely last for years, if they are taken care of. This product will make your shoes look just like new with a simple rub. It is amazing and a must. Plus, you can use it for any color leather. Not just for Dr. Marten's shoes... truely, try it. You will not be dissappointed!

Shoe Renew in a Jar! I am very fussy about shoe/leather care and I'm usually more interested in where the best COBBLER is vs. hairdresser etc. The cost of this is a bit higher than the average bottle of leather conditioner, true, but it's worth about 5 times more than the average product also, and it goes a LONG way. Most products (beware of Kiwi & Coach brands) have too much wax and only make your stuff look cloudy and crackly. Never with this product; Abused, dried shoes and purses look like new again and I'm getting 2 more tubs!
