Given how much I paid for the shoes, I was really disappointed in them. I have never owned steel toed shoes before, but it was a bad choice. These shoes are very narrow at the point where the steel toe starts. This constantly digs into my little toe and the toe next to it. They are also very heavy shoes. With the lack of support my feet are aching pretty bad by the end of the day. I cannot wear them anymore so in the end it was a waste of money dollars.

I wanted to love these shoes but they were too tight, too squeaky on wood floors, and they don't have removable insoles. Hard to fit orthotics in if you can't remove the insole.

I have a 3-year old pair of "Dr. Martens Work: Hawk SD 4 Eye Shoe" that have been excellent for working outside: well-padded, tough, thick comfortable insole, largely waterproof, flexible, steel safety toe. These new 1925s are just as ugly with none of the good attributes. Thin hard insole, stiff, unpadded, cheap-feeling, just plain uncomfortable. Even stupider, there is a little tag stitched into the insole right where your heel goes, warning you not to rely on the steel toe for safety. OK, warn me, but not with stitching under my heel. I will give them some more time to see if they break in, but for now I dislike them.

These are super stiff and hard to break in. I am only wearing them once a week for now because they hurt my feet.

This is the second pair of these same shoes I've bought. Latest pair 6 months ago. Both pair have failed at the sole, and the sole has split off from the shoe. Both pair failed the same exact way. That's what made overseas does for you I guess. Never ever again dr marten, your poor quality has lost a lifetime wearer of your shoes.
