Sharp looking boot! Most Doc’s take some time to break in, but I’m happy with these boots!

As many people know certain 1460 Dr Martens take some time to break in. Overall, it is a great boot pertaining to style & comfort! It is such a sharp looking boot!

I wear an 8.5, usually 9 in boots but the 7UK was too big in these. The 6UK worked better. Love the classic docs style.

I've had a variety of Doc Marten's over the years, and the upper on these felt flimsy and the leather was thin. I've read reviews that suggest there is no difference between the "Made in England" version and those made elsewhere. I don't know if that is true. The existing pair I have are made in England and much sturdier. However, they are older so I don't know if that means the quality has just gone down generally. Even the toe box on these was relatively soft. I'm returning and will likely pay the extra and see if the Made in England version are still good quality.

I tried these on to compare to the 1460W - and I definitely liked the 1460W better... the 1460 is ever so slightly higher which hit me in an uncomfortable spot on my lower calf. Also, the inside where the tongue is sewn in has a bit too much excess leather that you could feel fold over when you put your foot in the boot - creating and uncomfortable lump.

Took a few months just to break them in and within less than a year, everywhere the leather bent to conform to the shape of my foot has rips and tears in it. The soles are durable, the leather... Not so much. These boots are good for CITY SLICKERS. If you live a rural lifestyle, doc martens are NOT for you.

Exactly what I was looking for

Bought these for my brother-in-law who could not get them on his feet because he has a very high instep (that's the top part of the foot). Tried and tried, but he just couldn't pull them over his instep.

Love the style. One size too big. I’m a 14 and 13s we’re great; maybe a tiny bit close around the toe but should break in. Awesome boots.

What can I say. They are combat boots alright! Albeit white but still. Gonna take a little bit to break these bad boys in but I’m a big girl. I can handle it!! Can you?

I had a pair 2 years old and they won’t honor the warranty because of both bottoms splitting open of the 5 lace hole pair and the new ones rub my back ankles.

I stand all day and the rubber soles put a pep in my step. I’ve loved these since the 90’s, and they feel absolutely great. Good quality, even though they’re no longer made in UK.

These use to be my husbands favorite boots...when they were made in England. These are no where near the same quality as his previous pair. He loves the style and fit of these, but they just aren’t made as well as they use to be.

Love this shoe! LeAther takes awhile to break in, but what a stunning classic! Too bad they’re made in Asia now and not in UK like they were the first time I fell for them. But, quality seems up to standard. A timeless shoe for comfort- I stand and/or walk around all day in these and they feel as good in my mid 40’s as they did in my mid teens.

Fit great. Slightly big, but nothing that a thicker sock won’t fix.

Most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I'm usually a US women's 8.5 and the UK 6 fit well with room to wear thicker socks. I originally purchased the UK 7 and it was pretty much a full size too big.

These boots are great! I haven't had a pair of Docs for years and decided I needed a pair again. I picked the right boot. These boots are rad!

This is now my fifth pair of dr martens. I own about fifty pair of shoes. This is my favorite pair that I own. The insoles are not removable. The arch supportable is excellent. With my black dr martens I have to wear my $400 podiatry insoles on top. With these I do not. They match with any outfit. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Super weird. I ordered some and hoped I could use with my custom orthotics. They came and the insole wasn’t removable. So they were too tight with my orthotic. I returned and ordered one size up and the pair that came did a have a removable insole, so now they were too big with standard insole taken out and mine installed. They also fit weird with both the insole and my orthotics so I returned both. Wish I could try the smaller size with a removable insole but there’s no telling if it would be removable or not.

I actually loved this boot and was excited to have another pair (used to have a pair from the 90s). However, a grommet that the laces go through was defective and not even installed - it was just hanging there. Given this, I sent them back. I really wish they were still made in England! You can tell the quality has gone down.

Bought these for my husband's birthday, at his request. He owns 3 pair of Dr. Martens and has had one of the pair of boots (also 1460) for 20+ years. When I saw the pictures that others had posted and read some of the reviews I was skeptical about the quality, but bought them anyway. I told my husband about what I had seen and read as he opened the box and told him I thought they were being manufactured overseas. He said, "they make them in the UK".. well, he was wrong. Lo and behold the tag on the inside says Thailand. The quality seems really lacking. The leather (we bought Napa leather in black) was cheap and flimsy. We cannot justify $145 for a pair of cheaply made boots. Back they went.

Been wearing these boots since the '80s. This is the only style I ever bought until recently? I bought a pair of Chelseas (which I love). These boots have been great for decades. I love them dearly
