Beautiful red color. I've owned this shoe for about 5 years, wear them frequently, but the leather has never "broken in". Still stiff, and I get blisters on the back of my heel every time. I have to put tons of bandaids on to wear them. Otherwise, they rock!

Although they are now made in China, they were not that bad overall. They lasted 4½ years of daily use. Honestly, you are better off here then in the stores. They are a better cut of leather. I was going to but a pair at my local mall and they were just too soft. Great shoes. Highly recommended.

The 1460 is a sweet boot, but feels a little small. I also cannot break this boot in. I'm about ready to run them over with a car a few times to break in. Otherwise I cannot count on wearing this boot for more than a few hours and when I know I don't have far to walk.

This product came on time in good condition. The color and size selected were right. The price was the lowest on the market.

My 13 year old son chose these, easily navigating through the Zappos site, checking all the different colors until he was sure he had found the ones he wanted. He waited anxiously for them to arrive and pretty much hasn't worn another pair of shoes since. He hasn't complained once about them being uncomfortable, and he simply won't put up with shoes that don't feel great. They look great and I know that they are well made. I only wish they would fit me when he outgrows them, but he is already a couple of sizes past me. Should have turned him on to Docs a couple of years ago. Live and learn.

I like Dr. Martens 1460 because they are a minimalist, tough looking boot. I wear them to work in a business casual environment. They don't look as strange as something you'd get from the casual shoe section of your local sporting goods or discount clothier. I had to buy another gel insole due to the original insert feeling a bit flat, in my opinion. Other than that, these are a great boot!

I bought these boots as riding boots for a girl scout camp, even though I'm only 12 years old. I used them well this summer, then had another camping trip about a month ago. After hiking for two days in them, my foot was bleeding, I had 3 blisters, and a numb big toe. It turns out I have nerve damage and had to wear tennis shoes for three weeks. Cute boots, but I promptly chucked them out the window in anger. Tennis shoes don't go with anything!

Great shoes. Comfortable right out of the box, which is unusual for Docs. I really like the Tufftech leather & white sole, very different.

Nice boots, but if I would have known it was from China instead of England I would not have bought them. The place of origin or manufacture should be shown.

Great boots. My first pair of Docs since the 90s. I'm not sure why I stopped wearing them. Comfortable, stylish and durable. You might want to go a size smaller.

These shoes are excellent. The color and texture look wonderful in good lighting, if not a tiny bit darker than the photos show. I buy these because I can fit my orthotics in them and still wear the shoe normally.

Total thumbs down. The boots would be perfect if they were not designed for Fred Flintstone. I have wide feet, I was swimming in these. I tried a size smaller than I usually wear; the length was okay but the laces were all the way tightened and they still had wiggle room. I think the shoes would have fit me, but this was a boot shopping trip.

They took a while to break in, particularly that seam where the tongue meets the toebox; it was excruciatingly tight, but since the rest of the shoe seemed to fit ideally I decided to slowly wear it in. After a little oiling and some rainy days the leather seems to have stretched enough that I would now call the boot mostly comfortable. It's still probably too tight to put in an insole though. Something I wasn't quite expecting is that the inside of the toebox has a cloth fabric stitched in. I thought I was buying an all leather boot so this was surprising, but maybe that's normal for Doc Martens? Overall a good enough boot for the price. I got them for work but of course they look good with almost anything. Looking forward to many good years with these things.

Look and feel great. Got to get the vintage, made in England - you get better quality. Size was off; smaller than listed.

My foot is a wide 9 1\/2 and I buy these in size 10. I think they run a little too large, as they are a bit slippy, but the size 9 is too short.\r\n\r\n

These boots are classic. They look great and take a beating. I've gone through a couple of pairs putting hundreds of miles on them and they typically last a good 5 years of regular use. More if you don't wear them much. That said, they have a nasty break-in period. It takes a while to break them in and your ankles and feet will hate you for a few weeks for those first few weeks. Still worth it. Once fully broken in, they will be much more comfortable.

Great boots. Needed a comfortable not insulated pair. Just arrived, on time, correct size. Very comfortable. Tried them to make sure the fit was correct and then went for a hike. Almost zero break in needed, felt good to hike in right out of the box. (brown incuk, nice leather). Feel good on feet, support as expected in a mid boot, cushioning soles are great. I like the look of the boot, went for the brown (I am 47 and do not feel that I am cool enough for the black).

Excellent construction. Leather has micro-perforations (such as they are tiny holes) and I have worn them all summer in New York with none of the foot perspiration. These boots I loved with strength. I have worn them in the rainy times as well and entered the water, my feet have remained dry. So I can't helpfully explain the wonderful property of this boots. It can breathe and also it can prepare against the water, so I look forward as the winter boots becomes mine to affront any snow invasions. I must quickly investigate duplicate purchase in another color to choose before they are sold out. I think if I could afford it, I would like ownership of every color indeed!

I didn't care for the stiffness of the leather on the Black Smooth so I tried the Nappa and I couldn't be more pleased.The nappa leather is ultra soft and flexible making the breaking in period a breeze. If you want the ultimate in comfort, I suggest spending the extra few dollars and going with the Nappa leather, you won't regret it. These boots are so stylish and trendy right now, but do Dr. Martens ever really go out of style? These boots are great with skinny jeans, shorts and dresses. I can't imagine any boots looking this sharp while being so comfortable. If you're unsure which "Black" to try, I highly recommend the Black Nappa for both style and function. You won't find a better looking quality leather and the comfort is unsurpassed. These boots run a little big, but with the Dr.Marten insole I can wear my regular size comfortably. I have a high instep and the smaller size was too tight across the top but the regular size with a soft sock and insole fits and feels perfect!

Great boot! Classic Dr. Martens, reliable, takes a day or two to really work them in but once they are, they are the most comfortable boot you can wear. Came with black and yellow laces (I use the yellow). I bought the shoe balm and I recommend it with the boots to help keep them clean and looking like new.

This boot takes me back to the 90's! It is perfect for the fall season with a pair of skinny jeans or leggings. I wear a US woman's 9.5 so I had to size down to a 9 and it fits perfect!

These boots are very comfortable. They seem well built, but the leather is very thin and not of good quality. I think the overall quality was better when they were made in the U.K.

These boots are great, just like the ones I had 15 years ago back in my skin head days; same great DM quality.
