these are great news bad news shoes. i walk quite a bit and they are the extremely comfortable. best i've ever owned as far as comfort goes. that's the great news. should you buy these shoes you should also pick up a tube of crazy glue. the black tread that is attached to the grey sole has peeled back in three different spots in the past two months. maybe you could walk to the store and pick it up.

Nice shoes, wish I could have found a size that fit me well. Toe box just not quit big enough even in 5x

Was expecting an ultra lightweight shoe. Shoe is very heavy. May return.

I bought this same exact shoe 2 yrs. ago and there are significant differences. The sole is narrower which affects stability. Overall the shoe is narrower. Saving on material?

Toe box was way too narrow. Other than that, the shoe was plenty wide enough. My orthotic arches fit in the shoe without problems. I should have looked more carefully at the shape of the toe box since I have short toes that need as much width as the rest of the front area.

I had high hopes after reading the reviews, as I have large and wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes cushioned enough for my comfort. Size-wise, the 12 5E fit my left foot perfectly, but I was absolutely swimming in the right foot (admittedly smaller) to the point where the slipping and rubbing on the arch was hurting my foot after just 10 minutes of wearing at home. There was almost TOO MUCH room in the toe box, which is RARE for me. I must say they are beautifully made and look pretty sharp, but this is a VERY heavy and "clunky" shoe. While I am not a diabetic, I do suffer from veinous insufficiency, swelling, and nerve damage to the bottoms of my feet. I was not at all impressed with the arch support OR cushioning (critical to comfort for me) which is supposed to be Propet's claim to fame. My New Balance 660's may not last as long but they are far more cushioned, as are my NB 990v4's. I returned these, but they may work for you. Everyone's feet are different...

I ordered these shoes for my dad who has diabetes. He looked the way the looked right out of the box, but when he put them on they felt a little snug in the front. He took them off and loosened everything and got them to fit better but not 100%. He tried walking around in them, but he felt they just didn't have enough cushion. He said they were light, but he could feel everything, and he would prefer more cushion.

This second pair Propet shoes I had. The first were very good and we're comfortable right from first wearing. But the Pdropet Stability Walker has a problem with left shoe. After wearing for a half hour there is pressure on the outside of the foot at arch which gets worse with time. After a hour the shoe is too painful to wear. There is nothing visible on the inside to cause is problem. The only clue is the arrangement of the panels on the out side just below the P logo is not like the that on right shoe. My analysis is the shoe is smaller at than intended and causes the discomfort. The right shoe very comfortable.

Excellent customer service. The walkers are fine.. I am happy with them. BUT, these walkers arrived with the shortest laces of any shoes I ever bought. The shoes are grey, try to find grey laces. I choose not to send them back but Zappos with their wonderful customer service offered a credit towards my next pair of shoes. Will definitely buy from Zappos again.

I normally get shoes that are 8.5 4E but all they had in stock for this brand was an 8.5 5E. No problem I thought. Wider shoe should be fine I thought. Nope. These shoes run narrow around the mounds (area right before toes) of the big and little toe. Being that this is a diabetic shoe, I don't want squeezing in that area.

My husband loves these shoes, but unfortunately after 4 months or so, the part of the sole that curves up by the toe detached from the shoe. I felt they should have lasted longer, so I believe they are somewhat defective, but at the same time a great shoe while it lasts.

I bought these for work and also bought some high arch insoles for these shoes. I have neuropathy and at the end of the day my feet felt less sore than with any other shoes. I am happy with them except the top of the toe is coming loose already after only a month. Probably have to shoe goo them but as long as I can wear them I am satisfied with these shoes.

Having to return these, as they're a bit short and tight in the toe box compared to the New Balance shoes I have been buying. Construction is OK, not a great amount of footbed padding. An OK shoe.

I bought these Propet 5500 to keep from rolling over one foot. The D ring design is bad, they turn sideways and fray the laces after just one month, If not for the D ring design they would be a good shoe.

To tell you the truth, I was really confused, when my feet started to ache so badly in these shoes. I read so many positive reviews on this site, pertaining to the Stability Walker, but truthfully, I cannot agree with any of them! First of all, out of all the shoes, sneakers and military boots that I have ever worn, my size has always been 10½W. I purchased a 10½5EW, and they were way too long. They were as long as an 11½. Width wise, they were just ok. And that is for a 5E, so ok does not cut it. I returned them, ordered a 9½5E, and the length of the shoe was still a little big, on the rear of the ankle to heel. But, they were acceptable. After only two days of walking, I wanted to burn these shoes. The provided soles are way to thin, and if you try to put a thicker sole, like from another shoe or Dr. Scholl's insert, the top of your foot will be strangled. By the fourth day, my feet were swelling up. If only they made a shredder powerful enough to put those shoes through. From age 15-24, I always wore Skechers Energy Afterburn. I then went from shoe to shoe trying to find something else, but I was wrong. There is no shoe quite like it. The Sketchers Energy line are cheaper, very well made, super wide, and a high roof, so the top of your foot can breathe. Go with that. I bought one, right after suffering with this crap, and I feel stupid for ever trying anything else.

Not the best walking shoe - I could tell right away that the shoe wasn't quite right. It squeezes too much in some places and is too loose in others. I'll be returning this shoe and try another one. Oh, and it looks like something a mall-walking grandpa would wear; maybe that's a good look for you, but it ain't for me.

Propét Stability Walker - Shoe did not work for me. Wasn't comfortable as the Reebok DMX. Went back to the old reliable and had to send this one back. Oh and by the way. Great Service Zappos.

These were returned. They were not comfortable. They did not have cushioning on the foot bed. The tongue rubbed the top of foot. They did look good. I bought these for my husband so the review is written by me even though these are men’s sneakers.

These were boats on. Usually can go up to a 12.5 but was swimming in a 12. Didn’t feel very cushy sole wise. The only thing they got right was the width.

The length was true to size, but I ordered the 5E wide shoe. The width is fine until it gets to the toe box and for an unknown reason they do not continue this wide to the end of the shoe. If you are ordering the widest shoe they make you need it wide all the way to the end of the shoe. A wide shoe should be a round toe which is the same width as the widest part of the shoe.

These shoes are not true to size in width. I bought the 5E width. I tied them so the laces were loose at the bottom—still too tight. I measured them, and they were about 1/4 inch narrower than the New Balance that I was wearing. I returned them.
