I was really disappointed when these shoes, ordered as 5E, were just as narrow as an E. They seemed to be perfectly designed except that one major flaw.

felt very comfortable at first but made i developed a blister after walking about one hour in them. will try them again in a few days and hope for better results. possibly my feet are not used to the faux leather top. bought these for the colder weather. they seem to be well made for a cheap sneaker.

I have mild nerve damage in my feet. I found that there is a slight bump that I can feel near the base of my toes that is painful for me. The shoes felt great otherwise. I have returned them and will try a different style tat should nt have the bump.

Still waiting on breaking this shoe in fully but the fit is moderate to good. Not quite sure why it is considered diabetic as it fits and functions as a normal shoe. I have worn other diabetic shoes that seem to give better comfort and fit.

My husband really suffers with diabetic nerve pain so he thought he would try these sneakers to see if they help. He loves them. He hasn't been complaining about his aching feet, he also has them in black so he has been wearing them alternately. We will be purchasing another pair in the near future.

These are the only shoes that have made an improvement to his nerve pain.

I have used these for a couple of years. I have a narrow heel and wide up front. I am a regular 11-11½ but with these it is 10½. I have wide feet. If you do it might be better to try the 5E first. I feel is 3E is normal size. They provide great support, I have flat feet, wear an arch and I pronate. I find the leather shoes take a while to break in. They seem tighter width wise at first plus they are heavier than the nubucks in gray or brown which tires my feet some and the nubucks are softer and more attractive. They are usually on sale somewhere, but no one beats Zappos on customer service. For me there are no better shoes out there for people with diabetics and/or orthotics especially if you can score them at a discount.

Propet has always made a quality shoe, in wide sizes. Zappo has an outstanding order/return policy and used to be very competitive, in their pricing. Lately their prices have raised substantially and if you see a shoe that interests you, for a high price, they refuse to negotiate, even though you have been a customer for years. I'm also bothered that they advertise shoes that are not in stock, in the desired size; ask you to fill out a "Sorry, not in stock, at this time but fill out the information and we will notify you, when they again become available". All the years I have shopped Zappos, I have never been notified.

I like them, but had to return my initial pair because they were too small, particularly in the big toe area. I still do not have a lot of room at 1/2 size larger, but they will work.

Zappos is a wonderful company to work with. They have excellent customer service. They are upbeat, pleasant, and as nice as can be. They are so nice they make me want to buy more stuff from them, even though I don't really need anything! The first shoes we ordered were too large, so Zappos let us mail them back free and mailed us a new pair the very next day! Then they sent us a hand-written thank you note! How could anyone not love Zappos?

I have a lot of trouble getting my size of shoe. I have had Propet in the past. I mostly get New Balance but the last pair cost a lot and lasted 5 months. Much happier paying half that price with these shoes. Plus Zappos is fantastic.

I liked my first pair so well -after they broke in- that I had to get a second because I don't like getting surprised by clothing/shoe manufacturers that change their sizing too much and end up phasing me out.

I am not diabetic but have worn these shoes for several years and like them very much. They are one of the few that offer a narrow shoe. The narrow still seemed wider than the older one that I have but a still comfortable. Probably could have ordered the A-width and been okay. I was impressed with the speed that the shoes were shipped and how fast they were delivered 5 stars for that. Because of the width is why I gave it 4 stars. Definitely would recommend them.

The shoe is stylish and comfortable. My one and only "complaint" would be that the shoe is deep. The insert that is provided in the shoe is good, but I opted to use a thicker pressure relieving insert for filler and additional comfort. I used the provided insert in another shoe and it is very comfortable.

Good shoe with a good fit. I wear a AA, this shoe only goes down to B. About as good as the New Balance, only made in China not US. And $50 less expensive than NB.

I bought this for casual wear and also simply because I needed to jump up to 16 EW. Not many choices up there! Turns out to be roomy enough, comfortable and good for semi-serious lunch time walks.

I really wish they didn't label this thing as a "diabetic shoe." I'm still trying to get used to the fact I have Type II diabetes and am not at all sure how this shoe relates to the illness. What I do know about the shoe is that it is comfortable and wide. I am normally a EEE width but I think I should have ordered a narrower shoe. That said, the shoe is very comfortable albeit a bit wide for my foot. I walk several miles each day in these shoes and have no trouble at all. They are even reasonably waterproof for the deep puddles I occasionally encounter. The all black color is a bit utilitarian and institutional looking but the price was right. If you are a fashion person, pay the money and get the two tone version.

I was drawn to the word diabetic in the name of these shoes. I have peripheral neuropathy which means that I have reduced sensation in my feet. I sometimes feel I need to be watching where I'm walking because I can't feel where I'm walking. This can be a drag because I don't want to be looking at the ground all the time. Given those kinds of problems, these shoes are really good; they are solid and sturdy and I feel like my feet are protected. I don't have to be constantly watching out to see that I'm taking care of my feet. These shoes are taking care of my feet. Thank you.

I order these for my son. He really like the feel of them. They are very comfortable. Although, he was not all impressed with the style, but the comfort out weigh style.

Comfortable and roomy -- I had to get a R size 14 to augment my L size 13 in order to accommodate an orthotic. Works well.

I find that there are too many brands and styles of footware today that do not come in wide enough sizes. being able to get this shoe in a 5e width is super. this was my fourth consecutive order of the same shoe. the only drawback i have found is that they seem to wear out in the soles before the rest of the shoe is ready to retire.

Great shoe but it was too narrow for my husband's foot. Although listed as a 5E, he said it was too tight.
