My adult son requires a wide shoe for a proper fit, which is very important for someone with diabetes. We were not disappointed with these shoes. We definitely recommend them.

Great shoe, very comfortable. I am not diabetic but like comfy shoes.

I love these shoes. I have a really wide foot, and this is the first shoe I have found in a 5E width. Until I wore these shoes my feet hurt a lot. Now I feel at least 10 years younger wearing these.

These shoes are a good choice for stability while walking. I used to wear an ankle brace to reduce the likelihood of rolling the ankle to the outside but with these shoes I no longer have the need to. The wide sole extending outward to the outside of the toe box makes it nearly impossible to roll the shoe. They look kind of clunky due to the width of the sole but are effective in providing stability. There is plenty of room inside for my orthotics. I took out the insole so I cannot comment on its comfort but it does look like it would provide adequate cushioning as it is quite thick and has an integrated heel insert as a shock absorber. I usually wear a New Balance size 12½ but these shoes do not have that half size so I chose the 13 and it fits just right.

As usual, I received my shoes two days after I had ordered them. They fit my big feet perfectly and are very comfortable. I didn't need to break them in and I was in them for over six hours the first time I wore them to work. No problems at all.

These shoes are the best when it comes to real comfort. I do have Diabetes and walking can sometimes be uncomfortable. I recently bought a pair of these and took them on a trip where I would be doing a lot of walking. They were fantastic and never had one bit of discomfort. I do highly recommend this brand of shoes.

Does the job - have tingling feet and wobble when walking. These shoes keep me upright and even. My second pair and they are the best shoes I have had!

Fast shipping, good service. But the thing I am happy about is the fit. I have a narrow foot and it seems I can only find D's to EEE's. I saw these and the size "B". I bought them about a month ago. The first shoes I have had in years that didn't flop around on my feet. Thanks, Zappos.

Very nice walker for the price but runs slightly undersize and I had to return them. I would recommend ordering 1/2 size larger if available.

Of all the many athletic shoes that I have had over the years, including a myriad of tennis shoes, the Propet Stability Walker has been the very best. I just ordered my second pair after the six years of use, and continued use today, of the first pair.

The issues piling up on my poor left foot, my only foot, were beginning to make me wonder if my walking days were numbered. Despite the Jones fracture, fracture of the smallest toe, the most painful problem was the hammer toe that caused a non-healing ulcer. But I learned something while wearing the very wide orthotic boot to protect the healing fracture. Given the ability to lie flat, the hammer toe rested in such a way that there was no pain at all. So I went looking for very wide shoes. What I found was that extra wide shoes are almost impossible to find. The whole world is squeezing into medium wide shoes. Then I landed at Zappos online and I found the Propet Stability Walker. This clever company is making shoes in many different widths. I chose the widest, and it turned out I picked right. These comfortable, handsome shoes (not a double for fancy dress shoes because of the grained texture) has me walking without pain for the first time in years. Thank you, Propet, for making shoes the way they should be made. And maybe Americans will figure out that they are endangering their future feet by one size fits all thinking.

These shoes are very comfortable. I'm glad I found them. I had bought two other shoes with a velcro latch but they were too high on my ankles and hurt to walk in. These are perfect.

I wear a 9 EEE and this shoe fits very well. There was a small break in period of a couple of days. I am diabetic and find no pressure points, my feet feel great after wearing for a day. It is great to find comfortable wide shoes.

This is my third pair of these shoes. The are very comfortable to wear for casual walking (a little too bulky and heavy for power walking), With decent support and normal wear.

This shoe is high quality. A step up from another major brand I've worn for years. Used to see this shoe and wished I could get it in B or narrow width. Zappos had it, so jumped on it! Wore 10 B for all brands forever but had to exchange for 10 1/2 for the first time. True to width and very comfortable. Runs short. Zappos had the 10 1/2's shipped the next day. Love this quality comfortable shoe and will order another pair to save when these are worn out. You won't be disappointed!

I've been buying these exact shoes for years now. I am on my feet most of the working day and they are the most comfortable shoes I have found. They're not too heavy and don't chaff my ankles like other shoes have. They're comfortable right out of the box and provide ample room for my big, 13W, feet.

My honey went to get fitted for his diabetic shoes. Was going to take 4 weeks for them to come in. I checked out this site and found the same shoes for a lot lower price than an extra pair at the medical supply. He wears them all the time. I would buy them again for him. Always good to have more then one pair a year what Medicare allows. Thanks Zappos for saving us money.

The shoes are as described, true to size, help stability and help me deal with loss of feeling in my feet due to diabetes. The lacing rings make the shoes easier to tie.

Just got my Propet Stability Walking Shoes. This is my second pair of Propet shoes, the first pair I got in 2009 before going on vacation. I have flat feet, diabetic and somewhat wide feet. After reading some of the reviews here I went a 1/2 size smaller to a 11 1/2 5E from a 12 5E. Boy, they feel good on my feet and I went with the grey color and look very good with my blue jeans on when the warmer weather comes they won't look bad with shorts. Look less wide than my old shoes and very lightweight. My old pair will now be on lawn and car washing duty. These shoes are the real deal and with 2 day shipping you can't go wrong. Thanks.

My husband has a hard to fit wide, high arch foot and these shoes were completely comfortable on our recent vacation to Costa Rica which included lots of walking. And they look sharp with shorts or nice jeans and a dressy shirt. He loved them even though he is not diabetic.
