The leather upper is made from good leather, the leather soles are welted perfectly. It speaks quality all around.

I have been wearing brown leather docksides for 30 years and buy a new pair every few years. They are very comfortable, well made and last for ever. The only boat shoes I wear and my every day shows in the summer. The Zappos experience was great as always: easy website and order, right price and fast delivery.

I looked at Sebagos and Sperry, but chose the Dockside because I had then as a kid. They are terrific quality and super comfortable. They took about three days to break in. These shoes are very stylish with shorts or jeans. I am completely happy with my purchase!

Great shoes, although they seem to run a bit small. I usually wear a 12. The 12s were tight out of the box, so I opted to exchange them for 13s. Comfortable, classic, & well-made.

I spent months looking for stylish, well-made, comfortable navy blue dock shoes trimmed in white. Thankfully, Zappos came through again! I purchased the shoes half a size smaller due to casual wearing without socks. These are too stylish to limit them to casual wear only. They are much more comfortable and supportive than Sperry's flat soled shoes. The leather is top quality and does require some time to break in. I highly recommend these shoes.

Overall the shoe is great! It's durable, looks good, and works with so many summer casual outfits. The most important thing to know, in my opinion it does run 1-1.5 of a size large. I have a wide foot and the shoe does such a great job of accommodating a wide feet that it feels large. I put some miles on the shoes walking around New Orleans the first week I got the shoe...blister city. Every foot is different, but you may want carry some band-aids if you're going to do any serious walking right away...or be sure the shoe fits perfectly. The right shoe got me on the back of my Achilles heel/tendon. The left shoe got me on my left ring toe. Since the first long weekend of wear, the shoe has been blister free.

This is my first pair of Sebago Docksides which I ordered through Zappos after reading many reviews. I love them in every way. They fit like a glove - are "just right" size wise and are so soft and comfortable. I have no hint of tightness, binding or rub points. There style is "spot on"! The quality of construction is excellent - the thickness of the leather is nice and I know these will last with good care. I could not be more pleased! Can I give them a #10 instead of a #5 star rating?

This is my 3rd or 4th pair of Sebago Docksides and I still really like them. I owned over 10 pairs of Sperrys Topsiders before I switched to Sebago and the Sebagos seem to hold up better and look a little nicer. When Sperrys were cheaper it made more sense, but now that they are closer in price, I would go with the Sebagos instead.

This is my first pair of Sebago's and I have to say so I love these shoes. I am tough on my boat shoes and they are holding up just fine. I agree with a few others that it took me a few times wearing them to break them in but now they are nice and comfortable.

The shoes are quite comfortable, and look great. The blue color looks better than the pictures. Sharp and easy to break in.

Best shoes ever, classy look for classy people. Will last forever and I have been wearing this type for 20 years now. Big hit overseas and I am lad to see them being sold in the US. Worth every penny. Also shoes arrived in two days as proomised by Zappos, great service by Zappos.

The best casual shoes available w/o question. My ONLY reason for a return is receiving another identical pair as a gift, just after ordering. Prior to ordering, I was (and still wear a pair from 1990) replacing a treasured pair that got paint on then. STILL, THESE ARE THE BEST SHOES, PERIOD.

The only complaint I have is that naturally they take a while to break in and as with any boat shoe, the only real way to wear them without looking stupid is without socks. So they're uncomfortable for a while and they can hurt your pinky toes and cause blisters at first.

Only shoes I've purchase for the last 20years or more, I wear them everyday and buy a new pair every 5 years. They are always a perfect fit. The tops waer out and the soles still look bearly warn.

I bought these when my pair of Sperry Billfish fell apart after 3 years. The Docksides seem much better constructed. They took about 2 weeks to break in. Wetting them thoroughly and wearing until dry a couple of times really helped to soften the leather. A couple of coats of saddle soap ($5 in any shoe polish aisle) also helped, and stopped the squeaking noise. There is no arch support in these shoes - not a deal breaker for me, but be forewarned if it is for you. I picked this color because I like the brass eyelets over the black eyelets of the elk brown color. I wear a size 9.5 athletic shoe, but chose a 9 wide for the Docksides, which is a perfect fit without socks.

These are great. Took a bit of time breaking in at first (would wear socks) but after a few years, they've gotten more comfortable. These take a long time to look scuffed up though (probably due to the higher quality leather used) so if you're looking for that look on boat shoes though, then this wouldn't be the best option. Goes well with khakis, shorts, and jeans.

These are nice topsiders. I have been wanting a good pair for the last two years and I am glad I made this choice. The seams are of good quality, no fraying threads. Totally satisfied. Also I have a flat foot and sometimes that is a problem, but these work.

I have worn boat shoes for about 50 years. I have tried them all: Sperry, Dockers, Sebagos, and several other lesser known brands. In spite of the slightly higher cost, Sebago Docksides have outperformed and out lasted them all...You get what you pay for! And Zappos has the lowest cost!

For me the Sebago's fit better than the Sperry's. Initially, the shoe was stiff. However after a week or two of breaking in. These boat shoes became very comfortable even without soxes.

I blew it and ordered a medium shoe when I should have ordered a wide. What was I thinking? Your wonderful return policy allows me to exchange for the right size when the wider shoes come in in February. I do wonder if a 12 1/2 might be better, as this is a pretty stiff shoe, but that is a size you don't carry at present. Surely I can't have wildly BIG feet!

For a while I thought I would never be able to wear Sebago Docksides boat shoes again. And then I came across Zappos online, placed an order. I was amazed at how quickly my order arrived, true to Zappos' commitment, so I placed another order for two pairs of Sebagos and again within a week, that order arrived. I am very happy. Thank you Zappos family!

These shoes are really great. They are noticeably sturdier (and I think better-made) than Top Siders, with more arch support as well. I would recommend trying half a size down if you plan on wearing them without socks. They are great shoes!
