Nice shoe, but... This is a nice looking shoe and fits reasonably well, but it doesn't hold my heel well and it feels as though I will step out of it.

For my dad... I bought this shoe for my father. It is his preferred style in a shoe, but not mine. That is why I gave them a 3 star rating. He said that they were very comfortable. He is extremely happy with them. This was my first time buying from Zappos. They have great customer service. An overall excellent purchasing experience!!

Soft as a moccasin - Softest leather I have seen in anything short of a slipper or moccasin. They look great, wish they had the wider sizes, the 3E is a marginal fit for me but it's OK (wear a 6E when I can find it). These are NOT walking shoes, soles are very thin and you can feel the slightest underfoot irregularity similar to a moccasin or slipper. Great at home, the mall or dining but not for use off finished surfaces. Don't misread this, I really like the shoes and recommend them for casual or dress occasions.

Long time user - I have used these shoes for over 15 years and they are superb on the hard surfaces at my hospital. I am on my 30 plus set of shoes.

Comfortable - This shoe is very comfortable. The only negative aspect is that the sole is not full width for the entire length of the shoe and allows a bit of roll-over. If the sole was full width and a bit firmer, it would be the perfect shoe for me.

Second best shoe - I looked at all the shoes in this style at Zappos under $100. This shoe is second only to the Bostonian Prescott... and just barely. They seem to be identical in fit except for the Riva having a slightly, very slightly, stiffer sole. Warning, my brown Riva is so dark that it's indistinguishable from black.

Review - Very comfortable. My wife hates the style...says it makes me look like an old man...but I wear them daily to work for comfort.

Florsheim's Riva - Stylish, very comfortable, and priced right. It could use a bit more cushion in the sole (arch support), but otherwise a comfortable shoe throughout the day.

Beautiful shoe - This shoe was very soft and comfortable right out of the box. It was a little narrow for a 5E but a great shoe. I'll probably experiment with another shoe next time; being this is my first purchase from Zappos, but all in all a great shoe.

Ahhh - so comfortable! My husband wears large size shoes (13) and needs a comfortable shoe for dressy occasions. He has diabetes and neuropathy in his feet, which makes them hurt at times. He bought his first pair of Rivas in a store, and he immediately said he wanted another pair in a different color. Zappos had them in his size, so I ordered them. He wears them constantly. They look good with dressy outfits, or with Dockers. As for wear, I would assume they will stand up to the Florsheim label, which usually means a long shoe life. Another review said these shoes felt like bedroom slippers. My husband says not quite. But still very, very comforting to his sore feet.

Comfortable loafer - First wearing slightly tighter than marked, after first wearing very comfortable.

3rd pair I have bought - This is the third pair of Riva's that I have purchased. This is an extremely comfortable shoe. No break in period is required and they are very light weight. They style may not be the most modern but it is more than appropriate for casual wear and works well for me at work. I will continue to buy these shoes due to their comfort.

First time internet shoe buyer - I have been having a difficult time buying shoes because of my width. Zappos provided an alternative for me. The shoe looked fine except I did not think the sole was what I was ordering. It is also a little big for me. However neither of these problems have caused me to regret my purchase. The bigness maybe solved some way.

Nice but too large - I exchanged a pair of Rockport Grand Falls for these. What an improvement! Felt great out of the box, except my heel lifted when walking. I have a 9B, so tried to get these in 8-1/2B, but Florsheim doesn't make a B below 9, so I had to exchange for a Bostonian Prescott. Too bad they felt 1/2 size large, otherwise I would have preferred them to the Prescott.

Florsheim Riva - Very good shoe for the price. It was everything I was hoping for. Delivery was sooner than expected. I wear a size 15 dress shoe and Zappos can almost always accomodate my desires. This time was no exception.

It was the Fit that mattered... The shoes look OK, but I am just thrilled to finally find a pair of comfortable shoes that actually fit my feet. The service was accurate and great.

Good - This shoe was as comfortable as advertised - generally. After a mile walk the shoe no longer provides the support found in other comfortable shoes. However, as long as most of the walking is done in the office, and never more than three or four blocks Riva will hold its own with any shoe designed for comfort.

Excellent Comfort But... The shoes come in a soft leather already broken in and are very comfortable straight out of the box, but the sole cover in the shoe almost immediately peeled back some. This however did not detract from the comfort of the shoes. They are also a magnet when it comes to attracting dust, other than that these are very fine shoes.

Viva Riva! Excellent quality and comfort; light but support is good. Jury still out regarding durability and ability to hold a lasting shine, but so far an excellent shoe--well woth the price.

Florsheim Riva Review - Great Shoe. Fit was exactly right. I couldn't be more pleased.

I have worn this comfortech brand for many years and am very satisfied. They are perhaps a little narrow and therefore tend to pull out of shape after about one year. I rotate four pair of shoes all Florsheim.

Very nice shoe - These shoes are extremely comfortable out of the box and have a nice, traditional look. I am very pleased with them so far, after a couple of weeks of use. They are my first pair, so I don't know how durable they will be. Bostonian sells the exact same shoe (the Prescott) for less. (I ordered two pairs -- one burgundy, one black -- oddly, the black pair felt smaller, at least on one foot. I don't know I just got one bad pair.)
