I've always worn the Florsheim brand, but to tell the truth, this model was sort of a disappointment. It is a very stiff and uncomfortable shoe (compared to the Como Puff Straps that I am accustomed to) and it feels to be narrower than normal. Although, the shoe is made of leather, it feels more like a man-made material. I have a pair in the closet they are collecting dust. I'll stick to the Comos.

Look Good - Feel Lousy - I'm really surprised by the people that say this shoe is comfortable, because I couldn't get the darn thing to bend even a little. The stiff leather and sole would have taken forever to break in, would have given me blisters, and it was too long on top of everything else. These are going back. I think I'm done trying Florsheim, the quality has really gone downhill.

OK - I recently moved to this area and hadn't found a Florsheim store locally. At that time, I decided to try ordering online. I had been buying the Imperial for the last 30+ years prior to this, and only switched because you were out of stock on what I wanted. The shoe is still a good shoe, I just don't like having to break them in and putting up with the blisters until they are. Plus, the width seemed a little narrow. I even went one size wider, thinking the stiffer leather wouldn't form to my foot as nicely as the softer leather used in the Imperial. Even with this compensation, the shoe was tight in the width. The shoe was hard to break in and it took about a month before the shoe began to feel somewhat comfortable. Even with this experience, I'll likely always by Florsheim shoes. The quality and fit have remained consistantly superior through the years.

Nice looking shoe but stiff and uncomfortable. Does not fit well causing heel to slip out. Inserted Pedag heel grips but did not completely resolve problem.

Richfield slip on shoe - My brother-in-law is a confirmed Florsheim aficionado and was dismayed when his local store no longer carried Florsheim! He was overjoyed with the shoes purchased through Zappos and we'll be making more buys later. The shoes fit perfectly and he is prancing about his neighborhood in his new shoes! He is 76 years old.
