The top of the front of the shoe was very stiff and high and dug into my ankle. Very uncomfortable design. I returned the shoes as soon as I tried them on.

I have worn Florsheim all my life. I lost 6 pairs that were average 25 years old in the recent big fire here in Northern California. I ordered a new pair of wingtips from you because I could not locate local shop. I was very badly disappointed when I tried them on as they seriously chaffed my outside ankle bone! A close examination showed that they were cut much higher in that area than prior shoes. After two minutes I was getting serious chaffing. The shoes looked great but they were unwearable. As a long time Florsheim users I was devastated! I sent them back and am now waiting for my refund. I am lost as to wear to find a pair that I can try on ahead of purchase. I truly hope that this experience is not reflective of a general reduction in your quality.

This is the worse part of shoe workmanship I have experienced. The sole separated from both shoes, which would have been totally embarrassing if I was still at my church service. Tailored suits and shabby constructed shoes. Please Florsheim....upgrade your shoe fabrication standards!

After three wears, the sole is separating from the shoe. The shoe initially arrived with scrapes on the toe of the left shoe. I should have returned them at that point. Upon taking the shoe off last night, the heel and sole separated from the shoe to the midpoint, leaving tacks from the shoe sticking me in the hand. I have never purchased a shoe with such poor workmanship. I am totally disappointed!!!

I have worn these shoe three times and I just noticed right sole is coming apart and becoming detached from the shoe. I have never purchased a shoe with such poor workmanship. I was initially tempted to return them when I received the shoes and there was a scuff and scrape on the left shoe. I figured I would keep the pair, since they may not have another size 14 in stock.

Hi, I frequently buy the Lexington Shoe Style. However, with the last few purchases I have noticed that the shoes are cracking on the outer side of the shoes which never occurred. I love the shoe but I will discontinue to buy the shoes because the shoe looks cheap. The Shoes does not look like real leather as in the past but rather pleather.

I emailed customer service about this and no one got back to me. The lases began shredding on the second wear and the shoes themselves looked like I ran a marathon in them after one wear. This used to be a quality product

To Tom Florsheim, CEO Leather Upper . . . was not Leather Upper; This shoe is made of man-made upper. It's not leather. I sent them back and I won't be back. I specifically asked the order clerk if this shoe was "authentic Leather" and I was told it was. Baloney! Shipping costs from you to me . . . from me to back to you, only made UPS richer--it did nothing for me, or you. Leather Upper is LEATHER UPPER. This means Leather on the top layer of the shoe . . . there is no leather on the top layer of the shoe . . . it is made-made, it is probably a vinyl consistency. Now, what it really is, is-----Patterned Leather. That is how you should advertise this shoe and all those like it. Regards, Tony Di Cupillo

The small ridge that is sewn into the upper portion of the shoe (where the foot enters) frays quickly and looks horrible. Also, the tongue oftentimes pushes back into the shoe and develops a bend. I have to reach into the shoe and pull the tongue back out each time I put them on.

Shoe remained extremely stiff and uncomfortable. Wish I could return them as they never "broke in". I cannot wear them at all. Would not recommend!

I've worn them three times and the black border at the top of the shoe has already frayed. This is very noticeable with a brown shoe. I'm a long-time, but very disappointed, customer.

I always used Florsheim shoes. They sent me 2 different sizes. when I called they sent me a UPS and told me to return them and they would send another pair out immediately. Nothing happened so I called and they never sent another pair out, though received my pair back. I think you may have lost a long time customer with this very poor service.

Received first pair and toe stitching was not glued down properly on one shoe. Reordered and second pair had same defect on both shoes. Reordered and third pair is on back order. Have the same shoe, in black, that's over 20 years old. It's still in good shape. Transitioning from a 30 year military career to a business life and I thought Florshiem would be my best bet for quality shoes. Hopefully, it was just a fluke (twice) and the 3rd pair lives up to the Florshiem name.

I made the mistake of buying these. The rubber patch on the sole WILL wear away and you will need to get the shoes re-soled. [...] Don't buy any Florsheim show with a rubber patch on the sole, they are useless and cause the shoe to fall apart. Buy an all leather sole.
