Burgundy one had sewing defects on right shoe and had to return it. Black one was great.

So dissapointed. I remember Florsheim being a handsomely rugged, wide stance, supportive quality leather shoe. I am sorry to say these looked like cheap shiney plastic, were very narrow and hurt around the ankle where it was cutting in. The shoe was not straight but built to the inside like pigeon a toe. The foot bed was lumpy and unsupportive. There was nothing but the smell of leather that I liked about this shoe, but at least it had that. I am returning to try another. Zappo's is so great about that, even though I've hardly ever had to return anything over the many years. Unfortunately this shoe just fails me in everyway. I ordered a 15D

Nice and shiny look, but shoe material is very flimsy and cheap. It will be deshaped and get all wrinkled up after few wears. Looks as if make of cheap plastic.

The shoes look ok but hard to say how long it will last. Sole seems to made out of plastic. The eyelets have no metal rings like previous generations of FS shoes. Sad to see the quality has decreased so much over the years.

I liked them a lot but the size of the shoe is not true. It is the second pair that I have bought and every time I try them for the first time. They are almost an inch larger, I have to change them to a smaller size.

Shoe is nice looking, but quite uncomfortable. The sides are very high and dig into your ankle bones. It is also narrow, and feels smaller than the true size.

These looked better online. Was not the same quality as my other pair of florsheim shoes. It was too stiff and I didn't like the shape of the toe. The sole looked of poor quality as well. I ended up returning them. Returning went as their policy stated as far as timing. Wish we could return in store though.

I look to Florsheim for long-lasting use and appearance; for over 40 yrs that's what I've found; relocated to ice and snow and doubled up my "good" shoes, one size for regular wx and the next .5-1.5 size up for cold wx (thicker socks); normally wear an 8, but too tight; bought 9 D 17066/393852 07 GC, partly made in India; no 9.5 or 10 available; the black edging at tongue opening and foot insert opening began to flake off like cheap vinyl; wear infrequently, use cedar block and use horn when donning. Disappointed.

This shoe looks very nice, but the heels are very rigid and they squeak. It is embarassing how loud the squeak is. I thought it would stop after the shoes were broken in, but sadly the squeak lives on.

Nice looking shoes, however the rubber sole insert will peel out of the sole quickly and flap around under your foot. Terrible product idea.

My father used to wear his Florsheim wingtips several days every week and get years of use out of them. I remember getting a pair of hand-me-downs from him as a teen that were quite durable. When I got my new Lexingtons I was immediately disappointed in an apparent lack of quality. The leather feels near paper thin with very little depth to the broguing. The leather is very stiff and cardboard-like out of the box and closer inspection gives the appearance that the soles are glued rather than stitched to the uppers. After wearing them once for 4 hours, I want to sell them so that I can invest in a quality pair of wingtips.

I'm truely sorry but, I thought the shoe was a leather upper but it looks and feels plastic or synthetic which proved too hard and un-yielding. I was looking for a soft leather shoe much like the one prior to the Lexington and Clayton purchase. The shoes remain un-touched at home and if I thought I could return at this stage, I would. My last purchase has been my only disapointment with Florsheim.

I love Florsheim, always have. Had my eye on the Lexington wingtip shoe for a long time. But shortly after purchase, the ever-present squeak became quite embarrassing. Being pretty adept at heel work...often remove old tack nails, re-press cork, and renail my shoes, I hoped this was the issue...it wasn't. Sadly, got a lemon.

I regret selecting this style shoe because it resembles a corfam shoe, should have gone with the Midtown style.

Sad, I started off good, went very bad very fast once I contacted a Human. The quality was good, sizing info is wrong and I could not get anything other than, "sooooo, U want a return? Yes, Human meatsack. No brains at all. I was dealing with a F...n computer AI. Sad to say, but I'm seeking a new brand. I'd pay 5 times the price to avoid Stupid people. The most important thing to a client, is getting what they purchased as advertised. One star failed. If you have Humans helping clients, U could get more stars. I guess U have rm 2 improve!

I have been a loyal customer of Florsheim's shoes for over 50 years. However, I am unsatisfied with the quality of the shoes I have purchased within the past 5 years. The shoes are poorly constructed and seem to last less than a year before I have to purchase another pair. I am a professional and am employed by the Department of Defense and wear the dress shoes on a regular basis. I often get compliments on how well the shoes look. However, it is only because I change shoes everyday and keep them clean and serviceable. I don't encourage any of my peers to buy the shoes as the quality of them has become very poor. The only reason I continue to buy the shoes is because I am hard to fit, have fallen arches and bunions and these shoes are the only ones that my feet can tolerate. If I could purchase a shoe from another manufacturer that offered at least the same feel as the Florsheim's I have used year after year, I would. I just purchased two new pair of shoes and if these last less than a year as I expect them to, I will start looking for an alternative to the Lexington. I have saved two pair that I purchased last year that are only used to walk my dog. I should have returned them but as I said, but didn't want to pay the cost of shipping, standing in line to do so and haggling with a customer service person. Loyalty to the Florsheim brand thus far, in the last five years has caused me nothing but grief in having pay a hefty cost for a poorly constructed shoe. I suspect that this review will fall on deaf ears or be ignored. Prove me wrong. Sincerely, Larry Young Sr. (719) 246-1320.

I have worn this exact model in the past, so this was a reorder--17066. Side-by-side, the shoe changed width, and length. Attempts to contact Florsheim and the WEYCO Group has met with negative results.
