Wingtip Loafers are increasingly hard to find, and far too many have thin leather soles that get holes in the first year. Finally decided to get something quality, and thus far they're pretty spiffy.

Beautiful looking wingtip loafer. The sides are higher than I'm accustomed to. Rubbing up under my ankle and causing a hot spot. I'm hoping I'll get use to the height .

Good looking, very difficult to find 12EEE size dress shoes in stock in local stores. One drawback a little tight on the top of my foot but im sure it will loosen up

Seems to be a half size too large. Width was fine. Felt comfortable after 8 hours of wearing them. Looked great.

This is a great looking wing tip loafer. Love the deep/dark wine color. Unfortunately the sides are cut too high and rub the ankle uncomfortably. Had to return them.

Classic Shoe that is well built and stylish! Be sure to order wider than you think you need, I have a wide foot and ordered the EEE width and still have some breaking in to do! I enjoy the look and feel of this shoe and I'm thinking that the wear patch they have added to the heel and sole will allow this shoe to have a VERY LONG life!

This is my second pair...First were to narrow so buy wider than normal. The sides rub your ankle bone. Would be nice if they could cut that lower

Nice shoe. Looks well made and professional. Fit as ordered, but was tight at first across the top of the foot. Wore for about a week off and on and the shoe is now definitely breaking in and becoming comfortable to wear.

This is the third pair of these shoes I have purchased and, when these wear out, I will buy a fourth. They are way too tight when new but will, in my experience, stretch out to fit in a few (uncomfortable) weeks.

Have owned these shoes in 2 different colors for years. Recently replaced one pair only because the leather began cracking at bend, after about 8 years of off-on wear. Wear with slacks or khakis, but design is dressy for jeans.
Cushioned sole is great. Shoes are leather, so they will need a break-in/stretch period.

I bought this shoe for my friend. He loves the shoe and the quality. You don't get much better than Florsheim. He says, however, that it is still too tight across the top of his toes. He plans to take them and have them stretched.

This is the second pair of this paticular shoe that I've pruchased in the last six to eight years. The first pair I loved! I wore these to the office almost every day of the work week and they were extremely comfortable. The second pair, purchased last winter(same size)fits smaller and tighter. I've taken them to the shoe repair shop twice to have them stretched and they fit better now.

I have been wearing nothing but Florsheim shoes for the last 15 years. I am a business owner (technology) and typically dress in business casual attire. I always where dress shoes, so it is important to have a good looking, high quality, and durable shoe that will last.
Over the years I have been very satisfied. However, my last purchase was somewhat disappointing. These shoes (the lexington I think) are great shoes, with hard leather soles and a rubber padding on the bottom in the front foot pad area. For whatever reason, this rubber piece began to come off, starting at the front. I noticed when I walked that the rubber was rolling up on itself making it feel like I was stepping on a rock. At first I tried some Gorilla Glue and it held for a day or two, but came off again. So this time, I cut off the hanging rubber piece. While that looked a bit odd, it worked ok. But as you can imagine, it didn't take long for the remaining part to come off. So ultimately, I removed the entire piece. It has a small rubber piece that appears to go up into the sole, so I cut that flush with a razor rather than attempting to pull it out. Since then, all has been ok but I must admit, the footing on my left foot is quite slippery.
AS a reference, these numbers are inside both shoes 8 1/2 D #17073-01. Below that, the right shoe has the number 426093 02 and the left 426093 07.
So, keeping things in perspective, I am not mad and don't allow my overall opinion to be clouded by one less than stellar experience. Like I said in the beginning, I have worn your shoes exclusively for over 15 years and have had great success during that time. But this last one, well, stuff happens. I couldn't even bring myself to check off "Wears out Quickly" in the "CONS" section based on one purchase.
It is not time to replace these just yet, but I would like to do so in the next month or so.
I will buy Florshiem shoes again and hopefully have a better experience.

This is the 2nd pair that I have purchased and had to return. I've been a Florsheim customer for years. This style shoe has been altered. The opening is about 1 to 1 1/2 inches shorter, making it almost impossible to get the foot into the opening. I sent back a pair earlier with pictures showing the difference between the existing shoe and the new one. I'm currently waiting for the replacement as I ordered a 3rd pair but a 1/2 size larger. You need to get quality control on this problem. Thank you.
