Poor Stitching - I was disspointed in the quality of the stitching on the shoes that I received. I have owned lots of "penny loafers", but none that were gathered at the front of the shoe to the degree that their appearance was affected. This pair had that poor stitching. This may have been a fluke, so I am returning the shoes for exchange.

Hard to get into - This shoe does not have a smooth surface inside it. It is very difficult to slip on comfortably if your socks are not smooth also. Using a shoe horn is of little help, the sock tends to bunch up on the toe, and cramps the toes. If you can successfully get the shoe on without the sock cramping up the toes, it is not uncomfortable to wear.

This shoes are a complete waste of money ! The sole separated from the shoe after hardly any use. Do not buy!!

I wear a 12 D. Generally Florsheims work well for me. This pair, however, is really tight and uncomfortable -- no, actually they hurt, so will be returned when I get around to it. They look good, though. Probably will order a larger size.

Not a good shoe. The seams already busted and I got them wide, but in 3E they were not. Very disappointed being a large footed person, but I will probably not ever buy again because of the fitting issue. I also bought a black pair that is too tight as well, but we were in the process of moving so I couldn't return.

Love the fit but the shoe has started to separate from the sole.

Take your money elsewhere. These have the right look, especially in Burgundy, but they are the most cheaply constructed shoes I've ever owned. The leather is cardboard like, coated in shiny plastic. You don't so much polish them as wipe polish onto a non-absorbent man made surface. The heel fell off two weeks after I got them. After less than a few months of wearing them twice/week, they have started to tear right at the beef roll. For inexpensive 'weejuns', look at Sebago Classics, J&M Skimocs, or Bass instead. Zappos service, in contrast to the disappointment of this shoe, was fantastic as always.

'Have bought Florsheim's loafers for years, but can't find the ones I bought most recently, bought the Berkley and hate them. The unlined inside is rough and pulls socks to the point of pain. Stiff, unyielding leather means I may never get these broken in. Great looking, but horrible shoes. Bought the Riva and LOVE them! Lined, soft and comfortable from the get-go. Zappos service is top notch, they have a customer for life, I suspect.

Extremely comfortable, classically stylish, ever so cool. Florsheim is a standard classic for a reason! I was very happy with my purchase. The Berkeley Penny Loafer fit perfectly, is comfortable and very well crafted. It's the world's most famous Loafer for a reason. Whether I'm casually strolling, going on a date or lounging around, Florsheim always keeps me looking stylish and keeping my confidence up. Thank you, Florsheim!

Beautiful and well crafted shoe! I will admit, I did bought this shoe because this is a brand that Michael Jackson wore! Lol! But, I personally live this shoe and will buy more.

I had ordered a size 9 1/2 because I normally wear that size shoe, but when I got this size from Florsheim and tried them on they wanted to slide up and down on my heal. Florsheim was kind enough to have me send those back free of charge and exchange them for a size 9. They are working well and this is one of the finest pair of shoes that I have ever had.

Quite tighter on arrival. Definitely all around tighter than other loafers of the same size. Now that they are broken in, I'm a big fan. If you're used to the Rucci, these will be far more snug than them.

Beautiful well crafted shoe purchased to replace a pair of Bass Wejuns. I've worn Florsheim shoes for years so was confident these would be excellent.
