I have a long narrow foot. Typically, I wear size 13 B but the Florsheim Penny Loafers are sized too wide for my feet. I was also disappointed in the weight and quality of the leather. Not a heavy leather I was expecting! The process for requesting and receiving a label for returning the product was quick and easy. Fill out the online form, print the label, attach to the box, and drop off at UPS store. The refund has not yet been processed so I can't comment as to Florsheim's response time.

Initially these felt true to size and width but after wearing a few times they have stretched considerably. I didn't appreciate that these were made in Communist Vietnam but kept them anyway. Now wish I had returned them immediately. Leather is THIN and I assume that's why they stretched and also what we get when OUTSOURCING . Shame on Florsheim.

Look like PATENT LEATHER but labels claim genuine leather> I guess the Vietnamese who make these learned how to make leather look fake versus the normal trade secrets that make fake leather look real. They are comfortable straight from the box so I'll just have to wear them longer to offer a sturdiness comment since I've only had them a week, so far.

I've had a bunch of these over the years and generally like the style and comfort. However, the pair I bought about a year ago just had the heel fall off on one shoe, making them unwearable. This is even though the shoes are worn in an office setting without much real wear and tear. Prior versions of this shoe lasted much longer with no problems like this. So this is just a non-typical defective pair, or the quality of the shoe construction has taken a big dive. Don't know which.

This is my first purchase of this particular shoe... I have not worn it yet, therefore I cannot provide the proper feedback. However, if its anything like the other shoes and boots I've purchased, I know I'll be satisfied. I purchased to shoe to use as an everyday shoe, that is when I wear shoes.

I have been wearing this same shoe from Florsheim for 17 years. It is my evereyday work shoe. The shoe is very comfortable to wear. The only problem I have with the shoe is - the threads that attatch the front soul to the upper shoe wear out and the soul area comes loose from the upper. The last pair I purchased - this occured 3 months after purchasing the shoes but most of the time I get between 9 months to year to a pair. To track this - I date the inside of the shoes with a permnant marker. I have found that the time to this failure varys with the retailer. Purchases through JC_ are the shortist lived. I used to have a local shoesmith reattatch the for me for $25.00 per pair but he retired and the new guy wants $80.00 per pair to repair so I keep buying new. This problem is a unfortunate defect. I have brought this to Florshiems attention before. It is still a problem. One question you would have to ask yopurself is why am I still buying this shoe? The answer is I am 64 years old and a little stuck in my ways. The shoe is something I am very comfortable in. It is part of my work " uniform". I am a small business owner. My clients expect to see me every day in my khakies , blue button down oxford shirt, and of course- my Florshiem Berkly burgandy penny loafers. The combination has been a winner for my business for 17 years. You dont mess with success.

Purchased this slipon to wear traveling thru the airport. A little stiff to break in and some pressure on the big toe from rubbing the seam. Great look.

The shoe is a darker brown color than appeared online. I almost returned it due to the color, but decided it was not worth the trouble. I would rate it 2.5 out of 5.

I like the classic design of this shoe but the fit was tighter than what I expected. Might have to wear it more often to break it in.

These shoes were the most uncomfortable Florsheim I have ever worn. They were so tight that they split in the back once I had worn them a few times. I wear a D width, and these shows felt like a B.

Size, look, and feel is great. Soles lasted 15 months. I wear them to and from work. Will probably order the same pair again.

Shipping Time was great deal was super. Now a Review of the shoes. Bought 2 pr. Left foot on both was too tight. I have bought Florsheim's for over 45 years this is the first time I have had to bring them to a Cobbler to get the lefts stretched($16.00 cost plus 2 trips to the Cobbler 23 miles each way) I am not the type person that returns things hopefully they will be fine when I pick them up next week. No my left foot has not widened recently bought 2 pairs of Timberlands and low and behold both fit fine left & right feet! My guess is the shoes are being outsourced and quality is not what it used to be.

The shoe heel base did not last six months before I had to get them replaced. It isn’t as durable as I would like other than that, I really like them.

THE SHOE DOES NOT FIT PROPERLY, IT IS TOO WIDE -I REALLY NEED AN "A" WIDTH, BUT IT SEEMS YOU DON'T MAKE A TRUE NARROW WIDTH SHOE. HAVING BOUGHT MANY PAIRS OF FLORSHEIM SHOES OVER 60+YEARS, (THAT DID FIT VERY WELL!) IT IS VERY DISAPPOINTING THAT YOUR SHOE COMPANY HAS ABANDONED A LARGE SEGMENT OF THE MARKET. WHERE DO MEN GO NOW FOR A WELL BUILT SHOE AT A REASONABLE COST? (NOT INEXPENSIVE, JUST REASONABLE, MAYBE UNDER $200.00 ? OR IN THAT RANGE?) AGAIN VERY DISAPPOINTED !

Nice looking loafer. However I thought my standard size 10.5D was very tight in width. Returned for E width

More dark than the picture in brown color and a little narrow to be considered as normal. Nevertheless, great shoes.

This pair was manufactured in Vietnam vice Pakistan. The profile is a little longer and the fit is less than expected. I've purchased several pairs over the years and expect this to be my last unless your company investigates and corrects the differences.

This shoe is made from skimpier materials and does not anywhere match the previous generation Florsheim loafers I've owned.

I have worn Florsheim shoes for over 30 years and my size has been 71/2 wide for all of those years. The new shoes I received were way too big! I returned them today. However, Sonia in customer service saved the day for my disappointment. She explained how to determine if the shoes were a half size or a full size off and also emailed me a UPS shipping slip. I will be happy to write a new review once I receive and try out the new Dailey shoes. I cannot for my life figure out how the sizing would be so far off - completely un-wearable as is.

Hi, I have had this shoe for just over 7 weeks now. Oversall nice looking but same can not be said for comfort and material. My main gripe is the leather sole which i find very thin. I work in NY city and find with the sole the dampness from sidewalk gets through to the socks within few minutes (no holes in shoe). So this is not simply a rain issue but even if there is no rain but the sidewalk is slightly damp then does not take long for it to seep through. Given its now 6+ weeks old i do not think i can return but this loafer is not very useful for daily use. Occasional lounge party where there is carpeted floor is what its good for but side walks i would recommend getting something else BTW - this is not a Zappos issue, which i am a fan, its just a poor quality sole Florsheim are using. I should have gone with the alternatives but decided to try .. lesson learnt to avoid Florsheim thanks
