Design of shoe looks good; however, the padding inside the shoe is very thin and uncomfortable on the top. I am returning the shoe because the stitching came apart over the toe box within three days thus showing that the quality of the shoe is sub par. I would not recommend ordering these shoes.

Great fit, very comfortable, nice style....but a disappointment in durability. After wearing for about one week....the leather tabs holding lacing eyelets broke on both sides. Will try to see if Cobble can repair, but this is very disappointing considering the cost for these.

This is a good looking, obviously well made pair of shoes. However, they are extremely wide in the heel area--enough so that I'm afraid they'll be falling off of my feet. Otherwise, the length and width seem true to size.

The stitches on the top of the toe came undone and the shoe started to fall apart after a few months of wear. This is my second pair I owned and it is not as good of quality or comfort as the first pair. The new shoe is made with cheaper material.

I have had two pairs of this shoe replaced because the sole falls apart after time. I would suggest wearing them out fast. I do not give them hard wear or expose them to harsh chemicals etc. I have had the same thing happen to other types of Ecco shoes. If they are older models, the most they will do is give you a discount card for new ones. I have only had this happen before with one other brand of shoes with composite soles. If I buy any more from Ecco, it will begin to be like the quip about insanity.

Have had my Track 11 for about two weeks. I was quite surprised at how poorly the inside was finished and cant see them lasting very long. When walking they ride up and down on your heel to the point of being uncomfortable. As for the size I fell that they are very tight to the point of being narrow. cant wear a thicker sock with these. Albeit the shoe looks good it feels like a cheap Chinese made shoe, certainly not a pricey shoe I had come to expect from ECCO. Would neither buy another pair or recommend them to anyone.

I bought my first pair about five or six years ago, wore them for a year or two, and they were great. Then I bought a second pair last year and within a few months the outer part of the sole detached completely. Sent them back for repairs (costing $50) and they put the most ridiculous new soles on them, I just threw them out. I genuinely feel that they stole the original price and the cost of the repair from me. Too bad, since I really do like how they look.

Owned a few pairs of these as well as other Eccos. The outer soles of Eccos fall apart way too quickly, particularly on this model. No other shoes I've owned fall apart in a year or less like Eccos do. Mephistos and other shoes that have natural rubber soles last years and years not mere months. Something tells me they do it on purpose to sell more shoes because it is pretty pathetic.

Pain - Heavy leather and stitching digs into the top and sides of the foot. Once upon a time Ecco made great shoes (e.g. 10 years ago). I love the sole on the shoe but I hate its construction. Sized up for my wide foot. That did not work either. No room for orthotics. "F"

Too tight - One of the best soles around on a walking shoe. However, the heavy and unyielding seams right at the knuckle of the big toe makes the shoe truly uncomfortable for me. The eyelet rivets dig into your big toes and makes the shoe feel too narrow. The old design was much better. The shoe is going back. I've tried this shoe in two different sizes, and both times it failed for the same reason. I even had the shoe professionally stretched. Still hurts.

This shoe is certainly not all it is cracked up to be. I found it to be initially uncomfortably tight and then it turned out to be sloppy. The support is okay. After about a year I found the stitching on the top came loose. Not worth it as far as I am concerned. I am on my feet all day as a teacher. Thankfully I discovered Rockport. The new shoes that fit like sneakers are better than this old relic. I was disappointed with this shoe especially after having spent hundreds of dollars.

These are my favorite, but the soles wear like paper. I had the soles redone and the after-market soles were much better. Buy these for sure, but expect to replace the soles and then get full enjoyment from one of the best pair of shoes you will ever own.

One of the best comfort in shoes if you don't have high arches. Although, the lugged soles fell apart, decayed prematurely--almost melting in a way. So that the rubber felt soft and sticky.

Fits well except for Top - Shoe appeared to fit well and true to size, but on my foot it caused pain across the top of the foot that did not dissipate with "breaking-in". Looked well suited for walking.

Mixed Feelings! I have mixed feelings about these shoes. They're extremely comfortable, but don't hold up very well. As reported here by other buyers, the outer sole consists of a thin layer of what looks like gum rubber, which started shredding while the rest of the shoe still looked fairly new. Also the rubber, where it wraps around the bottom of the upper shoe, started peeling away from the leather.

Track II better then the Track? I bought my first pair about five years ago and after only a few months the stitching around the toe was comming out and a few month after that the soft Ecco part of the sole had fallen out. I was very upset after paying $200 for them went back to where I bout them and complaind and they gave me another pair. The second pair lasted a little longer but still did the same thing I ended up wearing them for three years with them falling apart because they were the only shoes that I could live with being on a concrete floor all day at work. Overall a very comfortable shoe.

This is by far the worst shoe I ever bought. It feels very heavy and I wanted to return soon and I thought I will get over the weight. After a while, I started developing back pain in my lower spine and my feet started hurting. I tried several insoles but nothing worked. I did not realize for a while that it was the shoe that was causing the problem. I suspected my office chair and my posture were the ones causing problems but eventually zeroed in on the shoe. The looks are awesome but you cannot feel good only from outside while you are hurting inside. I would feel happy if Zappos took the shoe back.

So beware, the shoe that is shipped is not the shoe that is pictured here. In the picture above the top of the shoe (vamp/toe box)is very similar in color to the rest of the shoe. In the shoe that I received that part of the shoe is MUCH darker, almost black. It certainly gives the shoe a much different look from what is pictured. I'm very surprised by this since I'm bought a lot of shoes from Zappos and never before received something that looked materially different from what was pictured. I'm not saying the shoes are ugly, etc. just that the contrast coloring is much different from what's pictured. I'm still trying to decide if I'll keep or return them. Zappos--please update the picture shown for this shoe!

I have worn at least six different styles of Ecco shoes over the last 13 years or so. I will never buy another pair. This Track II style was the first Ecco shoe I ever purchased and back then the quality was fantastic. Out of the box, they fit perfectly and felt like I had worn them for years. They were absolutely waterproof. They also wore forever - 6 years at least. These first exceptional quality shoes were manufactured in Denmark. Then the company moved its manufacturing out of Denmark and quality dropped off a cliff, but not the price. Arches molded too high, uncomfortable fit, squeaky de-laminated soles, etc. And now, this last pair of Ecco Track IIs. Out of the box they felt like they had random-lumps molded into the base of both shoes. An extra layer of Dr Scholl's gel inserts under the Ecco insert mostly fixed that problem. The real deal killer, however, is the way Ecco now manufactures the Track soles. Instead of molding in a full 1/4 inch plus of long-wearing material in the cogs above the base of the soles, these new shoes have a thin 3/32 inch layer of long-wearing material over-molded on fake cogs molded into the underlying soft rubber. The soles look the same when you buy them, but they are a shadow of the original design. When that 3/32 inch layer wears through to the soft rubber, the shoe looks worn out and the exposed soft rubber wears down very quickly. Keep in mind these are not the less expensive Eccos. These shoes are offered as the same, original quality at a significant premium price.

Horrible shoe. Sole disintegrated in one year. The hollow cell soles do not hold up. Do not waste your money on this shoe or other ones with the same type of sole construction. I had five pairs fall apart with normal walking in the city. Will not buy Ecco again.

Hiking - I went backbacking in some wet conditions. The rubber under the shoe began to break off. Eventually all of the traction on the shoe was gone. This was the third time i had worn them.

Unfortunately, Ecco no longer manufactures these shoes in Denmark. The Track II's I had in the 90s lasted for 8 years without leaking, tearing, or losing any of the amazing cushion in sole. I bought a new pair a few years ago and the seams have already started to leak and the soles are wearing through. The cushion in the sole disappeared after six months. This shoe is a shell of its former self, and not worth the money.

Not What They Used To Be - Long time Ecco fan, but these are not what the Track shoes used to be. They run about one full size small and are much narrower than previous Tracks. Had my last pair for over 10 years. Just ordered and sent back 2 pairs because the problems with the size. Other reviewers have noted the same problem.

Waste of money - I recently purchased this pair of shoes for my husband for Christmas. Initially they fit fine and we thought they were true to size so he kept them and wore them to work a day but after being in them for 10 hours he came home and couldn't even walk. And of course since he couldn't possible wear them around for this long on carpet and wore them to work we couldn't return them. Now I am out $185 and have a pair of shoes I might as well throw in the garbage. I am very upset and can't even tell you how mad I am...what a waste of money.
