Serious walkers -
I bought these to replace my long-lasting Ecco Cambridge walkers. Mobile has excellent support and cushioning, plus a nice low heel to reduce heel strike. They cannot be laced as tightly as other Ecco’s -- the edges of the throat meet in the middle unless I wear REALLY thick socks. And the throat doesn't come up as high as most athletic shoes -- more like a casual walker in that regard. So anyone who likes Ecco for a snug fit might have some problem with these. But still an excellent fitness walking shoe.

Shoe review -
This is my favorite shoe and my 2nd purchase. The only think I didn't like about this shoe is the dingy color. It's not really white.

Not bad -
It wasn't as comfortable as everyone said it was going to be, but it might have been because I had very high expectations. It's definitely better than regular tennis shoes. The sizing of the shoes were kind of weird since it was European... like I was more between 7 1/2 and 8 so it was hard when it said 7-7 1/2 or 8-8 1/2.

Very nice shoe - This shoe is comfortable but runs and entire size too short. The forefoot had cushion support I do not think I would have needed to use my orthotics. I hope you get more in soon and to Zappos, thanks so much for the Express shipping.

Comfortable shoe -
I love the trim appearance of this shoe. It's very comfortable. The white is actually more of an oyster.

My second pair of Ecco Mobile -
As I have owned and liked a pair of Ecco Mobile shoes for several years - and have actually worn them down to a point of almost unwearability - I was pleased to be able to obtain another pair (I no longer live in an area where I could purchase them in a store) on the internet and confident that I would find them comfortable. I bought the same size as I had been wearing, 39, and am surprised to find that they are a little larger than the ones I have been wearing. Perhaps I should have worn them in my carpeted house for a while longer before "claiming" them by wearing them outside. Too late... I now have an expensive pair of shoes that I need to wear every day for my two mile walk that feel too large.

Black Ecco leather -
Very comfortable, true to size. The shoe itself is not great to look at. Being on my feet over 8hr's/day, walking many miles, up & down stairs... it's a winner for me!!!

Ecco Mobile -
I found these shoes to be pretty comfortable for a lot of heavy duty walking on a trip; I ordered a half size up and was happy that I'd done so. They also accommodated my custom orthotics quite nicely.

good comfort -
I walk very steep hills in San Francisco (finacial district to top of Nob Hill and the running shoes I was wearing weren't giving me the support I needed. These are excellent for this purpose...they look good with a tayored jean/pants but a bit more heavy than I like for looks...none-the-less, the comfort outweighs the looks and I end up wearing them all day at work sometimes, forgetting (or not wanting) to change into a pair more fitting for work or what I'm wearing...I got the black ones and would recommend them. I'm a solid 7 and they fit perfect.

Comfy...Not so much -
I was looking forward to wearing these shoes because of all the positive reviews it got. First of all they run very narrow, I wear a size 7 1/2 and have narrow feet. When I went to put them on I REALLY had to struggle to put my feet in them. Not a good sign!! I work in the banquet dept. of a busy hotel and am on my feet anywhere from 10-14hrs a day. They are not very skid proof; I have to be careful when walking around any sort of spill.
I really did not feel any arch support; I have flat feet & plantar fasciitis so I need a lot of arch support. I have custom made orthotics but because the shoes are so narrow I can't even put them in the shoes. Also, after a long day when I take them off I have an imprint of the whole top of the shoe on my skin!!
I would like to return them, but as I've already worn them to work a couple of times (that job kills shoes) I can't.

Sleek but ouch no padding -
I was looking for a basic black shoe to wear with pants. This shoe fits nicely on a flat foot. Makes your foot look tiny. I have arthritis in my feet and the padding is just too minimal. A walk around my house made my feet ache. Great little shoe for healthy young feet, misery for mine. I ended up sending these back and buying Brooks Addiction, which are clunky looking but have ample padding and support for a hyper mobile flat foot.

Expected much more -
I've started walking a couple of miles/day and wanted two pairs of shoes for this. I am very disappointed by this shoe. It looks nice, but doesn't do for me what the other reviewers have said. It is just so so for comfort and my knees still hurt. As a casual shoe for work or light walking it should be fine.

These shoe's aren't made for walking -
I usually love Eccos and despite the fact that this style looked a little clunky, I was desperate for some comfortable walking shoes for a big trip coming up. Unfortunately, I found that these shoes did not have particularly good arch support. I was forced to add an orthotic to to them for support and they still aren't just fabulous. Despite the fact that the shoe is advertised as a walking shoe, it seemed pretty much the same as any ordinary shoe.

I have been wearing this exact sneaker for about 10 yrs., and I was very disappointed with the quality of my latest order. The rubber on the sole was stiff and hard, the leather was stiff, and the tongue dug into my foot, even when loosely laced. There was less vertical toe room, so my toes felt flattened. I then noticed that instead of being made in Portugal, as my others were, the new sneakers were made in Thailand. I believe the quality suffered in the transition.

Not that great!
I ordered these in hopes that they would be a good all around shoe for my European vacation. They were too small (I wear an 11.5). I ordered a size 42, that is comparable to a US 11-11.5. They may be comfortable if you get the right size, but they were not attractive at all (I ordered the brown ones). I returned them (bless Zappos for their return policy).

After reading the reviews and having had 2 pairs of Eccos that I wore out, I thought this shoe would be perfect. I went with this model this time because I liked the sand color. I have plantar fasciitis, low arch, and high instep. I usually need a W but my other Eccos were Ok. This shoe was way too narrow in the toes, and wasn't as "cushy" as my other Eccos. It just didn't feel good as soon as I put it on as some other reviewers said. It didn't accommodate my orthotic, was way too tight with it. I usually wear a 9 or 91/2, my Eccos are a 41 which is a 10-101/2. They felt a little long. They don't bend at the toe in the right place. Sadly, I must return them.

Disappointed -
I purchased these after reading the reviews. I needed shoes that would provide support and comfort for standing on concrete.
Sizing: My shoe size ranges between 7.5 and 8, so I selected the 39 instead of the 38 to be safe. The shoes were closer to an 8.5 and very large on me.
Inserts: I was disappointed in the inserts that came with the shoe. First of all they were very thin and offered no comfort. They kept shifting on me and I had to remove them.
Conclusion: I would have returned these except that I marked them while trying them on. In the end I added a pair of ImpactGel inserts (purchased after watching Pitchmen!) which helped with the fit and support. I would not recommend these shoes on the basis of having to customize them. For the price they are definitely NOT worth the money.
